Epilogue
Standing here, watching as they lower the casket in the ground. I feel nothing but emptiness.
Why does death follow me everywhere I go?
I’m still standing there when I feel a hand on my shoulder.
“Hey sis, time to go,” Khalil says, wrapping his arm around my shoulder.
He walks me over to the limo and I climb in. The guys are already sitting in here. We ride in silence as we head back to the house.
Walking in, I don’t say anything as I walk up to my room. I strip out of my black dress, changing into my hoodie and leggings. Climbing onto my bed, clutching the picture of me and Jo as I let all the tears fall from my eyes.
“I love you, Jo.”
I close my eyes and fall asleep.
When I wake up, it’s dark outside. There’s a knock at the door, so I roll over as it opens, revealing the guys.
“We just wanted to check in on you. You okay?” Atti asks, with a small smile.
“Yeah. I just need to be alone for a few.”
They all nod before walking out.
I get up and look out the window. I’m sitting there for a while when I hear another knock.
“Come in.”
“Hey sis.” I look over at Khalil, giving him a small smile. “This came to my house for you.” He hands me the envelope.
“What is it?” I ask.
“I don’t know. I didn”t open it. It’s from Jo.” He says, giving me an apologetic look.
“Thanks.” I say as I take it from his hands.
“I’ll give you a few before I come back. I’ll be downstairs with your guys.” I nod.
Opening the envelope, I see Jo’s handwriting as tears fall from my eyes.

Flipping to the next page, I see pages of screenshots, messages, and a flash drive. Plugging it in, I hit play. The video starts playing. It’s Kevin and the guys.
“Why her?” Atti asks.
“Because her slut of a mother took her from me.” It’s the man from the rape video with Addri.
What the fuck.
“So, what do you need from us?” Cade asks.
“Get her to trust you, then kill her.” The man finally comes into view.
My heart drops. What does he mean she took me from him?
“How are we supposed to do that?” Stone asks.
“With my help.” Khalil?
I watch as he walks into view. My heart breaks into a million pieces. I trusted them and they all lied. I hear a noise coming from my bathroom. Shutting the laptop, I walk over. There’s a girl with blonde hair standing there.
“What the fuck?”
She turns around, and I recognize her from the store that day.
“Hello Lux. I’m Addriana.”
I just stare at her.
“If you want to live, then grab your shit and let’s go.”
“How do I know I can trust you?” I ask her.
“You don’t, but I know you trust Jo.”
She clicks a button on her phone, handing it to me.
“Hello?”
“Babe, move your ass. Go with her and I’ll explain everything when you get here.”
“Okay.” I hand her back the phone. Rushing into my room to grab some of my stuff and the contents of the envelope.
“Lux!” I hear Zin yell my name from the bottom of the stairs.
“Fuck. How will we get out?” I ask her.
She just smiles. “The same way I got in.”
