Epilogue
J unicia
Life for the last year had been nothing short of amazing.
Franklin and I had gotten married a couple of months after he proposed.
We kept it simple and got married at Davis Mountains State Park.
The only people in attendance were Quan and Lauren.
They were still together and had a wedding planned for next winter.
Franklin and I didn’t want anyone else there.
His mother wasn’t thrilled that we were getting married, but that was her problem, not ours.
I did try to be the bigger person, but she wasn’t having it.
Franklin told her that he wouldn't be talking to her if she couldn’t at least be cordial to me.
His father was okay with me but kept his distance because of his wife.
None of it mattered to Franklin because we were building our own life together.
He talked to his parents at least once a month, but their monthly dinners stopped because he said he wouldn’t go if I couldn’t go.
I tried to get him to still go without me, but he firmly told me no.
His exact words were, “If my wife can’t go, I won’t go.
” That was the last time we talked about it.
I wasn’t going to argue with him about it either.
He was still his usual reserved self but knew when to put his foot down with me, and I loved it.
Bossed up Franklin turned me on something serious.
We never fought because, like he told me before, he wasn’t doing any arguing.
There were disagreements, but we talked about it.
It may not have been at that exact moment, but before the day was over, we discussed anything that may have been bothering us.
I appreciated that about him because I wasn’t always used to that.
Franklin and I sold our houses and put our money together for nine acres of land to have a five-bedroom, three-bathroom house. There would be a pool and theater room included. We even added an outside playground for the children we planned on having.
It would take another six months for everything to be completed, so we did a short-term lease on a two-bedroom apartment that was equal distance between both of our jobs.
“You still working, Junie?” Franklin asked as he stood in the doorway of our home office.
I still blushed like a little girl when he called me Junie.
We turned the second bedroom into a home office because Franklin hated it when I stayed at the office too late.
At first, he would bring me dinner and sit with me until I was done but then we decided to make me an office at home.
He never used the office because he never brought work home.
Sometimes, I didn’t have that option. Franklin was always trying to find ways to make my life easier.
I looked up at him as he stood with his arms crossed over his chest. I smiled when he pushed his glasses up on his nose. That man knew he was too fine for his own good, but he was always so modest about it.
“I’m almost done.”
“Good, because I have something for you.”
My body warmed at the way his voice lowered.
“What do you have for me?”
“Hurry up and find out. I’ll be in the bedroom.” He winked, then left the doorway.
I couldn’t even function on what I was doing, because I knew what awaited me in the next room.
Franklin and I had sex no matter the time of day.
Some days, we had sex multiple times a day, other times, it was only once a day.
The only break we had was during my time of the month.
We discussed having children, so I stopped taking my birth control pills.
Every chance he got, Franklin tried to put a baby in me.
He didn’t know it yet, but he succeeded.
I thought of a cute idea to tell him, and I was just waiting for the right time.
I let five minutes go by of me trying to finish what I was doing, but I figured I’d do it the next day. My husband clearly wanted some of my time, and I would give it to him.
I saved my progress and shut down my computer. I knew by the time I left my bedroom again, I wouldn’t want anything to do with work.
I discarded my clothes right in the hallway because I knew what time it was.
When I entered the bedroom, I stopped in the doorway.
I knew what Franklin wanted, but I didn’t know he would have a whole setup.
Candles lit up the room, and Franklin lay in the middle of the bed with his dick in his hand.
I noticed the chocolate-covered strawberries and wine on the table, but I wasn’t thinking about either of them, especially not the wine.
The only thing I was concerned about was the chocolate rod in Franklin’s hand.
My mouth watered when he stroked it. I almost came when he groaned.
I loved this side of him, so I watched for a second before slowly walking over to the bed. I climbed in and went straight to his dick to replace his hand with my mouth.
“Sss.” He hissed when I deep throated him.
Franklin’s hand was on the top of my head as I bobbed up and down. I was so turned on by his moans that moisture pooled between my thighs.
After I satisfied my hunger for him, I climbed on top of him and rode him until we were both tired out.
The next day, I was working in my home office when I received a message on social media. I rolled my eyes when I saw who it was from.
LadiesLoveLeo: I see you married your nerdy neighbor. But that’s not why I’m here. I just wanted to apologize to you for everything. You won’t hear from me anymore because I don’t want your husband to kill me. His words, not mine. Take care, Junicia.
I deleted the message and closed out the app. I didn’t know what he meant about Franklin saying something about killing him. Did they run into each other or something? I wasn’t aware that Leo had gotten out of jail.
I shut down my computer and went to find Franklin. He was in the bedroom watching television.
He looked at me and smiled when he noticed me at the door.
“What’s up, baby? I thought you would still be working?”
I walked further into the room and sat on the side of the bed.
“Did you have a run-in with my ex?”
He shrugged. “I did.”
“Why didn’t you tell me?”
He pulled me closer and wrapped his arms around me. “Because there was nothing to tell. He asked about you, and I told him I’d put a bullet in his head if he thought about bothering you. Simple as that.” He kissed my temple. “Now, how about we go out for dinner tonight?”
“Um, sure.” He said it like it was nothing, but I guess it was. I didn’t want anything to do with Leo, and I was glad he would finally leave me alone.
“Cool. But in the meantime, I got something I want you to check out.” He smirked, then took his glasses off before laying down and pulling me on top of him.
I always thought that Leo and I would last forever, and I did love him once, but Franklin was my forever. I realized that my heart was only reserved for him .
Franklin
I didn’t bother telling Junicia about her ex because I already told him to stay away from her if he wanted his life. If I could keep her from stressing about anything, I would. She was my heart, and I would do whatever I needed to keep her happy.
We were at dinner enjoying ourselves like we always did whenever we were out.
“Franklin. Son.”
What were the odds that my mother would be there the same day we were?
“Hello, Junicia.”
I was shocked by my mom speaking to my wife and actually getting her name right.
“Hello, Mrs. Brown.”
My mother glanced down at Junicia’s ring, then back up.
“Is there something we can help you with, Mother? I’m trying to enjoy dinner with my wife.” I glanced in Junicia’s direction. She reached across the table and put her hand over mine.
“I.” She paused. “I just wanted to officially say congratulations to the two of you.” She turned toward Junicia.
“And I want to apologize for the way I acted toward you. I’m not fond of the way I talked to you without knowing you.
My son seems to be happy the few times he talks to me, and that’s all I want.
I’m not saying we have to be the best of friends, but I would like it if we can start to build a relationship.
I’m sure you guys will have kids one day, and I don’t want to miss out on my grandchildren’s lives. ” She smiled, and it seemed genuine.
I wasn’t sure where we would go from there, but I was happy that she apologized to my wife.
“Thank you. Maybe we can start with you guys’ monthly dinners again,” Junicia said as she squeezed my hand.
I wasn’t looking forward to that, but if my wife said we were going, then we were going.
“Great. I’ll let you two finish your food. Hopefully, I’ll see you guys soon.” She nodded, then walked away.
“That was unexpected,” Junicia said once my mother was completely out of ear shot.
“It was, and I can’t believe you agreed on going to their house.”
“It’s important to have a relationship with your parents, baby.”
That was one of the things I loved most about Junicia. Her willingness to forgive people. I don’t know how much time I would spend with my parents, but I was willing to try if it made my wife happy.
“I guess you’re right.” I was okay either way, but I kept it to myself. “Let’s get out of here because I have something else planned for you at home.”
She wiggled in her seat. “I can’t wait.”
Hours later, I stared at Junicia as she slept after we had sex.
I noticed she never touched the wine the day before.
I didn’t ask her about it at the time, but if my suspicions were right, she was pregnant.
I was hoping one of my seeds would make it.
She was already my wife, and I was ready to have some babies with her.
Life had come full circle, and I couldn’t have been happier than I was with her.
“Why are you looking at me like that?” she asked groggily. She had one eye cracked, peeking at me.
“Is there something you need to tell me?” I smiled down at her.
“Nope.”
“Junie, don’t play with me. You didn’t drink any of the wine and it’s your favorite. What’s going on?”
She sucked her teeth and rolled over. She reached into the drawer near her side of the bed and handed me a box.
I took the box from her hand and shook it. Junie sat up and leaned against the headboard with the sheet covering her. I sat up as well to open the box.
There was tissue paper covering something inside, so I pulled it out and sat it on my bedside table.
I smiled at the mug inside, but when I pulled it out of the box, my eyes watered. I looked over at Junie, and she bit her bottom lip. She was nervous for some reason.
“World’s best dad.” I read the words out loud. My eyes shot over to Junie again. “This for real?”
She nodded with tears coming out of her eyes.
“You’re pregnant?”
“I am pregnant. That’s why I didn’t drink the wine. I just found out a couple of days ago.”
I put the cup down and pulled her into my arms.
“Thank you, Junie. You already make me happy, but you having my baby just sent me over the moon.” I kissed all over her face, and she giggled.
Once I calmed down, I adjusted her on my lap, so I could cradle her. I looked down into her eyes and kissed her.
“Who would have thought I would be married and pregnant by neighbor bae?” She smirked.
She told me how she and Lauren used to call me neighbor bae before she found out my name.
“I wouldn’t have thought it either. I love you so much, Junie, and I will spend the rest of my life protecting not only your body, but your heart, soul, and mind. You and my babies will never have to worry about anything as long as there is breath in my body.”
I reached under the sheet and rubbed circles on her stomach.
“And I will do the same thing for you, Franklin.”
We shared a kiss and sat in silence with her still in arms. I didn’t need anything else in life but Junie and our future children.
The End!
