Chapter 24

CHAPTER TWENTY-FOUR

Imogen and Keira stood off to the side of the palm-frond-and-tropical-flower-festooned arch in the sand, with waves lapping behind them on the shore, as a smiling Jury in a pink flower-print dress came walking down the seashell-lined aisle on the flower petals Aurora had scattered only moments before.

Imogen’s heart felt like it might burst with happiness. While her wedding to Nic had been glorious, they hadn’t had this—her whole family present. She was so glad it was happening for Jury.

And a baby on the way.

Imogen was shocked and thrilled. She and Nic were perfectly content as a family of two, but Jury … Jury was over the moon excited to be a mom.

“We’re going to raise him or her on the boat. Leo will be such a good dad. He loves his nieces and nephews, and he’s always wanted at least one of his own,” she had told her sisters.

And for them all to be here for her wedding to the man she loved, who was about to be the father of her child … incredible.

As Leo and Jury exchanged vows on the shore of a tropical paradise, Imogen couldn’t help but thank God for bringing her family back together.

She smiled at Nic, where he stood between Lachlan and Leo, and wondered how on earth such darkness and tragedy could result in such happiness, love, and joy.

Miracles, she decided. The only explanation was miracles.
