Epilogue
“ A re you ready for this?” Saint asked his older brother as Danno tugged on his bowtie.
Danno nodded. “I want to marry Merrick like yesterday but I don’t know if I can handle this bowtie,” he grumbled as he tried to tear it from around his neck.
Saint laughed at his brother flopping around the room as he tried to get the offending piece of wardrobe off. Finally he was able to stop him and help him get it off. “You know Merrick won’t care about you not wearing one.” He assured his brother before he could become overwhelmed with anxiety. “Merrick just wants to marry you, no matter what.”
Danno flapped his hands as he felt electricity zap through his body. “Yeah?”
‘Oh, yeah.” Saint grinned as he placed his hands on Danno’s shoulders to try and help him calm down. “The man loves you. I’m sure he’s already at the altar waiting on you.”
Danno grinned. “He’s such a good guy, I love him so much.”
Saint grinned. “I know man, and I’m so fucking happy for you.” He hugged his brother tight then pulled back when he heard their parents come in.
“Don’t you look perfect?” Sanem asked as she burst into tears and hugged Danno tight.
Danno shot his father a panicked look. He hated when his mother cried.
“Happy tears bud I promise,” Bram assured him, cupping his cheek and kissing his forehead. “When your mother detaches from you I’ll give you a hug, but I’m so proud of you Daniel, the man you’ve become has made everything worth it.”
Danno smiled at his dad. “Thank you for being my dad.”
Bram chuckled and pulled his first born into his arms and hugged him tight. “You made being your dad the best job ever.”
He would not cry. God he was going to cry. Danno tried to swallow down the tears but the fuckers kept leaking out of his eyes.
Bram cupped the back of his son’s head. “It’ll be okay, take a few minutes to decompress.” He pulled back and cupped Danno’s cheeks. “Just remember this is your wedding not anyone else’s.”
Danno gave him a watery smile. “Thanks dad.”
Bram nodded and headed Sanem back out to where everyone else was sitting to give Danno some breathing room before he had to come out. He winked at Merrick when the man met his eyes questioningly.
The music started playing and Bram chuckled. Leave it to his son to choose the Avengers theme song for his wedding.
Everyone turned to the back of the large barn they had rented to have the wedding at, instead of bothering all the animals on the farm, as Danno and Saint came walking out arm and arm.
Bram would always be thankful to Saint for the way he treated his brother. He talked to Danno the whole way down, distracting him from all the eyes on him. Not that he had to, the second Danno saw Merrick standing tall at the end next to Judd and Jesse. No one else existed after that. Bram looked over to see Ram and Kade cuddled close as they watched the scene unfold with smiles on their faces. He could see another wedding in their futures pretty soon with the way Ram was looking at his man.
The wedding was beautiful and Danno still wanted to bawl his eyes out from Merrick’s vows and he held on tight as they danced across the little dance floor. “Thank you for tonight.”
Merrick smiled down gently at him. “Always.”
