EPILOGUE

Seraphina

Noircoeur was completely packed with creatures.

Daemons, lumens, mortals, and others. But the burlesque lounge I enjoyed performing at was no longer owned by the Obscuritas Kings.

The club now belonged to the Umbra Noctis.

Once an underground group of dissenters, the Umbra Noctis was the new society of creatures united in their efforts to protect all creatures and expand their reach to new worlds.

We returned to Earth after a few nights of celebrations on Stella Terra. Tibby and Gremory were with us as well, and seeing her smiling was filling my heart with happiness.

“Can I tempt you into joining me on stage, Tibby?” I sang out to my friend, with no power, only a pleading tone. Tibby was one person I would never use my ability to influence minds on. Not after the years she spent under Laszlo and Samuel’s influence.

Her bright-blue eyes sparkled when she smiled, tucked between Gremory’s thighs where he sat at the bar. “Absolutely not. My voice can’t hold a candle to yours.”

I waggled my eyebrows. “Who said you had to sing?” Gremory arched an eyebrow, and I grinned at him. “Did you know your girl is a talented pianist?”

Tibby flushed bright red at the compliment. “I’m really not. I just dabble.”

Gremory wrapped his arms around her slender waist and rested his chin on her shoulder. “Seeing as you have an exceptional talent for downplaying your abilities, I’m going to need a demonstration.”

I reached out and squeezed her hand encouragingly. “Come on, my friend. Before we part ways, let’s give them all a show.”

Tibby smiled softly and nodded. I tugged her out of Grem’s arms and away to the stage.

We sauntered past the VIP booth where my mates were lounging, and I gave them a wink.

I may have changed into the tiniest bodycon dress and thigh-high red boots since ducking into my dressing room.

Several growls and horny snarls from the booth had a few heads turning. Tibby and I laughed, skipping away.

Fucking hells, pet. You look good enough to eat. And I will be having a taste when you leave that stage.

I am so fucking turned on right now. Can we have an orgy in this booth? Do the curtains close? Phen was like an eager puppy, and his excitement at experiencing the club for the first time was infectious.

Oh, they sure as fuck do. But I don’t think there’s room for an orgy. Let’s go back to the Towne House and play hide and seek. First one to find Seraphina gets to fuck her mouth. You game, diabla?

Desire stirred low in my belly at his words. I’m in. Just because I love your dicks doesn’t mean I’m going easy on you, though. No rules.

Shall we have teams? Andras mused. Perhaps Dev can assist with the cock sucking.

If you want your dick in my mouth, Andras, all you have to do is ask. Dev sassed back, and for a moment, we were all silent.

Raucous laughter from the booth caused dozens of heads to turn, and I couldn’t keep the grin from my face.

My mates and I had come so far in our relationship with each other.

The last time I sang on this stage, the Princes were still unaware I was investigating each of them.

But while I thought I was sneaking into their lives to ruin them, these fuckers were digging their claws into my black heart.

We never stood a chance. And if I could do it all over again, I would.

Despite the pain, and the loss, we found each other in our darkest moments.

This life was not for the faint of heart, but it was ours.

“So, my friend, what song do you have in mind?” Tibby asked, seating herself behind the piano on the stage.

With lust pulsing through my veins, I knew just the one. “Let’s do ‘Heaven’ by Julia Michaels.”

Tibby began fingering the keys with extra finesse. She played beautifully. I spied Gremory in the crowd laser-focused on his mate. My gaze turned to the booth with my own mates, and their hungry eyes melted my insides. It was our last night on Earth before we set out for worlds unknown.

The song ended to a standing ovation from the crowd, and I had a new game in mind for us. Leaping off the stage and running for the exit, I cast one last look back at my mates.

Catch me if you can, boys.
