Chapter 32
Chapter Thirty-Two
Blair
“Mm, yes, baby. Shit!” I had never paid much attention to how big a shower was or needed to be until now. I was grateful I had a decent-sized one. One that two people could fit into perfectly.
I was lying on the floor while Drea was going to town on my clit and stroking my G-spot at the same time. The water was raining down on us, and it was so erotic.
She moaned into my pussy, and I could feel the orgasm building. We had started standing up, but my legs quickly turned into jelly, and she lowered us down to the shower floor. It was cold at first, but after the first few licks and sucks, I couldn’t feel the floor beneath me.
“Please don’t stop, baby,” I whined as my eyes rolled back into my head and she forced every drop of pleasure out of me, causing my back to arch as if she were sucking my soul out of my body. It sure felt that way, anyway. She devoured me until I entered another universe entirely.
“Delicious every time.” She grinned as she brought her fingers to her mouth and sucked them one by one.
“Good fucking God,” I panted. She chuckled and helped me up, applying another lather of shampoo to my hair before the conditioner.
“Darling, do you know how truly exquisite you are?” She rinsed her hands and started washing my body, reveling in the little jolts it produced when she touched a particularly sensitive area.
I groaned and pulled her to me for a perfectly wet kiss. “This is not what I had in mind when I told you I wanted to take a shower before the beach,” I said as I broke the kiss and tried to catch my breath.
She laughed while rinsing the conditioner from my hair. Having her play with my hair was one of the most relaxing things for me. “I’m sorry, love, are you complaining right now? Because kiss me if I’m right, but I heard nothing but positivity in those screams a second ago.”
I turned around and pulled her in from the waist, our wet bodies connecting again, and I had to muster all the strength I could manage not to go for another round.
Shower sex was one of my favorite pastimes.
“No, baby, I am not complaining at all.” I rubbed my thumb across her cheek before connecting her lips with mine.
I broke the kiss, and she turned off the water, stepping out to get the towels. She wrapped me up first, pressing a kiss to my forehead, before getting her own towel.
It was always the little things like that that sent a flutter through my stomach. The forehead kisses. Washing my hair in the shower or wrapping me up before getting her own towel.
“I just meant I don’t always expect sex when we’re together. It’s definitely a big plus, but… it’s not the reason I stay. I just wanted you to know.” I was fidgeting with a piece of the towel, trying to contain my nerves.
I hadn’t brought up our arrangement since our late-night swim, and I was nervous to.
I knew of Drea’s dating history and how commitment was not her friend.
I mean, she was with Skylar for three years and never once called her “her girlfriend.” I was afraid of what I felt for her, and I was scared it wouldn’t be returned.
I just wanted to enjoy being with her, in whatever way I could have her, for a little longer.
She smiled at me and placed two fingers under my chin to tilt my head so we were eye to eye. “Darling, I’m so glad you stay, whatever the reason. And just so we are perfectly clear.” She leaned in to place the softest kiss on my lips. “I don’t expect anything either. I am here for you.”
God, I wanted to melt into the earth for her.
I cleared my throat, trying to gather myself and not drag her back to the bed. “Glad we cleared that up. Now, should we get ready? I can make us breakfast before we go.”
She dropped her towel, and all thoughts of the beach were forgotten. “On second thought, the beach isn’t going anywhere. We have plenty of time to get there.”
“I couldn’t agree more, darling. Why don’t I help you… dry off, hmm?” She removed my own towel, and I knew we were going to have to use them again pretty soon, but did I care? Absolutely not.
After another shower and eventually stumbling our way to make breakfast, we finally made it to the beach only two hours after our original plan.
I wanted to forget the beach altogether, but Drea thought we needed some fresh air and Vitamin D. I tried to make a sex joke as an excuse to stay home, but she didn’t buy it.
“Are you sure this is a good idea? What if someone sees us?”
“Darling, please relax.” We had just parked the car, and her hand was still lightly caressing my thigh. Anytime we were in the car together, that was where her hand landed and where it would stay until we got out of the car.
I laid my head back, eyes fluttering closed as she inched higher and higher up my thigh. The parking lot was surprisingly empty, so I would’ve been more than okay if she wanted to help me relax in the car.
I let out a moan when she started kissing my neck, but it was over before it began. “Tease,” I pouted.
She chuckled and rubbed my cheek with her thumb. “I’m trying to help you relax. Everyone is out of town for the Fourth of July weekend. Let’s just enjoy a nice day together, okay?”
I gave her a sweet smile, knowing she was right. “You’re right. Let’s go.” I stole one final kiss before we gathered all our things and headed to find the perfect spot on the beach.
We ended up finding a decent spot before more people started to fill the beach, and nobody really sat near us.
I was still on edge, wondering if we were going to get caught by someone, but literally everyone we knew was out of town for the holiday.
I just hoped no one caught on that we were both the only ones deciding to stay in town. Luckily we were able to use our jobs as an excuse.
“Babe, would you mind putting sunscreen on my back, please?”
I turned around with the sunscreen in my hand. “Great minds think—” Words seemed to have floated out into the ocean when I turned to see Drea taking off her cover-up.
She’d gone with a coral bikini set. The halter top fit her boobs perfectly, and it was so transparent I could see her delicious nipples peeking through.
I trailed my gaze down to her stomach that was already glistening with sweat from the heat, down lower to the bottoms that I assumed barely covered the ass I so desperately craved to bite.
She cleared her throat, and I jumped. I must’ve been drooling because… goddamn! “Like what you see, Ms. Sterling?” She quirked her eyebrow, and I could feel my cheeks burning.
Yes, I most certainly do. “I… Turn around?” It came out as a high pitched question, which caused her to chuckle.
“Yes, ma’am.” She winked, and I stood up on shaky legs as she turned around.
When I was done, she took the bottle from me and motioned for me to turn around so she could apply it to my back. I turned around and took a deep breath.
Of course she took her sweet time applying the lotion, and I had to suppress a moan when I felt her warm breath on my ear as she whispered, “All done.”
“Great!” I spun around and wretched the bottle from her hands and applied it to the rest of my body. “Thank you,” I said at a normal volume. She smirked and waited for her turn.
After we set up our towels and chairs, I got out the book I’d brought with me. It was a vampire book that Mackenzie had recommended to me. The vampire’s love interest was a hunter, and the two had a very interesting past. It was very dramatic and very spicy. The perfect combination.
I must’ve dozed off, because I felt a wet hand on my leg and jumped, forgetting where I was briefly. “Sorry, darling. I just went for a little swim. How’s your book?” Drea was now crouching in front of me, applying more sunscreen to my body and I closed my eyes, enjoying the contact.
“Nothing exciting was going on. I must’ve fallen asleep. How’s the water?” I asked.
She leaned in and placed her arms on my sides, caressing them as she had at the book festival. The memory of her body so close to mine as she pressed me against the wall had a heat filling my body that had nothing to do with the sun.
“It was refreshing,” she said in a sultry voice that had me squeezing my thighs together. She knew what she was doing, and I didn’t want her to stop.
She smiled and brought her lips to mine, and I hesitated for a beat before she grabbed my chin in the way she knew made my knees weak. I grabbed the back of her neck and kissed her back with everything I had. It was over in a second but the aftereffects lingered for several minutes.
“I was thinking, we should build sandcastles. Thoughts?”
I shook away the tingling feeling her kiss had left. “I think that is an excellent use of our time, Ms. Voss.”
After hours of building sandcastles, laughing, and stealing kisses, my skin was starting to get a little toasty, so we decided to call it a day and pack up. We had just gotten in the car when my phone went off.
“Are you going to answer that, love?” Drea asked as she was packing up the car.
My eyes widened when I saw it was Cara trying to video call with me. “Um… I’m not sure if I should. It’s Cara. She wants to video chat.”
She shrugged. “I can make myself scarce. It’s okay, Blair, answer it.”
I huffed out a breath and swiped to answer the call. “H… hey, Cara. What’s up?”
She grinned brightly when I answered. “Hey, B! How’s your weekend going? I miss you! Are you going to watch the fireworks later?”
“It’s good, just taking a little break from writing. I was starting to get blocked. Yeah, I think we’re going to watch them later. How about you guys?” My smile wasn’t forced.
Cara looked like she was having a great time with her family, and I was happy she was taking a break. She worked way too hard sometimes. But who was I to talk about working harder than was necessary sometimes?
“We? Are you with your mystery guest right now? Is that her car? Let me see!” She gasped and I turned bright red.
I fucked up. We? We?! How could I have let that slip? I needed to think of something to say, but I didn’t want to lie to her.
Thankfully, someone in her family saved me from having to come up with an excuse. “Maybe next time, doll. The family is beckoning me.” She groaned with a sweet smile. “I want to meet this woman, Blair… soon!”
You already have, Cara… “Go. Tell your parents I said hello.” We said our goodbyes just as Dre was getting into the car.
“Well? How did it go?” Drea was rubbing sweet circles on my thigh, and my anxiety from the call was slowly diminishing. She always had a magical way of doing that.
“I almost ratted us out, and now she’s demanding to meet my ‘mystery guest’ soon, but luckily we’re both going to be pretty busy, at least until the signing, so I should be okay. This is killing me, Drea. I’m tempted to just tell her, but now I’m too scared it’ll blow up in my face.”
“I’m sorry, sweetie. I know it’s not easy to keep it from her.
I’m having the same issue with Fallon. She is my family, and I don’t like lying to her.
Soon enough, this will all be over, and I can brag about you until the end of time.
” She smiled softly and kissed me with a passion that had me forgetting whatever I was upset about to begin with.
“Let’s go wash off this sand,” I said. She winked and I blushed, remembering how our day had gotten started.
