Extended Epilogue – Elias
Two weeks after we’ve left Graves County, I’m sitting in the new trailer we repurposed specifically for Sinners’ business meetings.
“This is nice,” Cole comments, his arms extended over the couch’s backrest.
“Hey,” Logan complains next to him. “This isn’t a cinema date, keep your paws to yourself.”
Silas throws popcorn at them. “Speak for yourself.”
“Boys,” Jonah rumbles from the recliner. “Boss was talking.”
Si bows in an exaggeratedly pompous manner. “Our apologies, esteemed brother. What were you saying?”
I roll my eyes at them.
Secretly, I’m glad for moments like these. When I look at them, I still see the malnourished, bruised boys in ragged clothes, who we were before we escaped the Sanctum.
“Right.” I sigh. “I said Jules found an article in the Ashford Gazette. Looks like everything went according to plan with the Caldwells.”
Rowe grunts, sounding dissatisfied. “Those abusers didn’t suffer enough.”
“No,” I agree. “But it was the cleanest way.”
“Sometimes we get our hands bloody,” Jonah remarks, “and sometimes we let others do it for us.”
“You did well,” I tell Si. “There’s no suspicion of foul play at all.”
My brother’s grin would terrify a more innocent man. “I have my moments. It wasn’t hard to arrange.”
“Are you going to read the article or keep us in suspense?” Marek asks from Silas’s side.
“Haven’t you foreseen it?” Logan teases him.
Marek huffs but doesn’t reply.
I pull out my phone and load the short article.
“Be quiet now and listen. I’m not reading it twice,” I mutter.
I need to get back to Jules and see that she’s doing okay. Getting revenge can bring up dark emotions to the surface.
I clear my throat. “Okay, here it is…”
Local Business Owner Dies After Son’s Fatal Crash
Ashford Gazette Staff Report
Graves County resident Preston Caldwell, 62, died late Tuesday evening after suffering an apparent heart attack shortly after learning of the death of his son earlier that night, according to local authorities.
Emergency responders were called to the Caldwell residence shortly before midnight. Despite efforts by paramedics, Mr. Caldwell was pronounced dead at the scene. Officials say the cause appears to be cardiac arrest.
The tragic development follows a single-vehicle accident involving his son, Richard Caldwell, 34, which occurred several hours earlier on County Route 17.
According to the Graves County Sheriff’s Office, Mr. Caldwell’s BMW left the roadway and plunged into a wooded ravine before striking several trees.
First responders arrived shortly after the crash was reported by a passing motorist. Mr. Caldwell was pronounced dead at the scene.
Preliminary reports from investigators indicate alcohol and narcotics may have been contributing factors in the accident. Toxicology results are pending.
The Caldwell family has long been known in the Ashford area through their real estate and agricultural holdings. Friends describe the double tragedy as “unimaginable.”
“It’s just heartbreaking,” said one neighbor who asked not to be named. “No matter what’s been said about anyone lately, nobody wishes something like this on a family.”
Funeral arrangements have not yet been announced.
“Nice,” Logan says, the first to comment as usual. “But not bloody enough for me.”
“Nothing’s bloody enough for you,” Cole drawls. “But he’s right, El. I’m fucking overjoyed we arranged this for Blue, but I’m itching to get back to our mission.”
I exchange a look with Silas. His face is set in stone, but his eyes are determined.
“It’s time,” I murmur.
Si nods decisively, then grabs a thick folder. He throws it onto the low table between us, pictures spilling out.
“Indeed,” he says gravely. “Our next target is Malachi Voss.”
Our brothers still as tension fills the trailer. Silas’s gaze meets mine.
“It’s time for El and me to kill our father.”

The carnival always has room for sinners.
Silas Vale is many things—illusionist, killer, survivor of the Sanctum of Ash.
But he’s done being patient.
The Prophets who destroyed him and his brothers are still out there.
And the next target?
His father.
Enter Nova Calder—a fugitive artist with blood on her hands and sirens on her trail.
She crashes into the Seven Sins Carnival like a meteor: reckless, feral, and completely unimpressed by Silas’s carefully controlled world.
But the real problem arrives wearing a badge.
Theodore “Teddy” Coleman, FBI agent and former Secret Service golden boy, is hunting the truth behind the Sanctum of Ash. His investigation leads him straight to the carnival’s traveling doorstep.
And straight to Silas and Nova.
They were supposed to silence him.
Instead… they keep him.
Because breaking a good man might be the most entertaining trick of all.
As the town gets painted red, Teddy will have to decide if he's going to expose the monsters... or join them.
Step right up...
The show is about to begin.
Illusionist is a dark MMF romance featuring an unhinged illusionist, a runaway escape artist with nothing left to lose, and the federal agent unlucky enough to catch their attention.

I’ve done a lot of bad things.
Killing. Stealing. Breaking men who deserved it.
But falling for my dead brother-in-arms’ daughter? That’s the sin that’ll ruin me.
He called me as he bled out—said his girl was in danger and I was the only one he trusted to keep her safe. So I did what any brother would. I brought her into my world. Into my club. Under my roof.
What I didn’t expect was Sasha—wide eyes, soft curves, and a stubborn fire that lights me up from inside.
She’s nineteen, untouched by the filth of the road, and she looks at me like I’m not the monster everyone else sees.
Every day I fight the urge to touch her.
Every night I lose that fight a little more.
Now the men who killed her father are coming for her. The only way to keep her safe is to claim her. Body and soul. No matter who I have to burn to the ground to do it.
I was supposed to protect her. Instead, I’ll destroy her. And God help me, she’ll thank me for it.
Welcome to the Wicked Sinners MC—where loyalty is blood, love is war, and no one rides away clean.
