Chapter Eleven A Lit Rocket
Romeo
I watched as Julianna hurried away. I knew for sure something was bothering her. She almost ran into Zia then they both went into the kitchen. I decided to wait for a bit before going after her. Zia was a miracle worker when it came to trouble or disagreements. The only time she ever failed in that was when Gio…Legend left. Not that she didn’t try to prevent it. She stood by the concept that the Descalia sons deserved the right to choose their own paths in life. But our father wouldn’t listen. I wondered lately, if he would listen now? He’d lost Legend for almost ten years.
My gaze again wandered to the kitchen door. I worried about where Julianna’s sudden nervousness had come from. She seemed a little upset after my father talked about Luca being out, looking for this V woman. Pausing, I tried to think if she had ever met Luca? Was he the problem? He hadn’t been there whenever she and I went to the corporate offices. He didn’t frequent Mancini’s estate either. None of us did except for holidays. The exception had been Julianna and I visiting there several times in the last few weeks to talk to Alberto about contracts he had with several companies. Just contractual law really. However, as far as I knew, she had never met Luca.
“When we finish with breakfast,” my father spoke up loudly so everyone could hear, “We all need to assemble in the den again. We have some intel, so we need to finish our plan for this exchange or should I say, the non-exchange.”
“You mean the bait and switch?” Dante asked with a grin.
“We can meet up in the study in two hours.” Then he looked over at Talon. “Is that alright?”
Talon nodded.
I sipped my coffee and realized I’d let it go cold. Setting the cup down, I finally stood and left the table. I wanted to have that time to talk to Julianna. Headed to the kitchen, I paused when my dad called to me.
I turned and stepped over to where he sat.
He looked up at me and asked, “Did you do something to upset my consigliere?”
Yeah, Stephano never missed a thing. I shook my head and replied honestly, “Not that I know of.”
“We need her,” he said. “I don’t want her to quit on us.”
I stared at him. “I don’t think she—”
“No, you didn’t think first, before you went after her. I didn’t object when I realized you wanted her, because I believed she wouldn’t give in to your charm, but I was wrong.” He tossed his hands up. “What about it though? You are a Descalia. Of course, she was charmed. I did my homework on her like I do all of our people and she has no blemishes as far as affairs and the like.”
I glared at him and retorted, “This is not a blemish or an affair.” I stepped close and leaned down a bit to add, “I love this woman, Papa. End of questioning.” I stood upright and stalked off to the kitchen.
When I quietly opened the door, I heard Zia say, ‘Fight all the way.’ I stared at her then looked over at Julianna.
She raised her gaze up and gave me a shaky smile.
Zia grinned at me. “You got yourself a smart girl here, Romeo.”
I nodded. “I know. She’s probably smarter than I am.” I didn’t want to say much else. We were still so new. I also need to find out what I’d done wrong.
“I wouldn’t go that far,” Julianna teased.
Zia stood and grabbed the tray. “You two can run along now.” She looked over at the maids that came in from the back entrance. “Sofie and Gina are helping with the cleanup.”
Julianna chuckled. “Ok, if you are sure?”
“I am.” Zia nodded.
I grabbed Julianna’s hand.
The two maids stared at us with wide eyes, then they both giggled.
Shaking my head, I tugged Julianna out with me.
She glanced back at them and then asked me, “What’s with the maids?”
I shrugged. “They aren’t used to seeing me with a woman, probably?”
She paused and stared at me. “Really?”
I nodded as I again took her hand.
“You never brought a date home?”
“No.”
“Wow, that’s crazy!”
“Why?” I asked her.
“It just is. I mean you are what? 28?”
“Yeah,” I replied as we headed upstairs. “I did tell you that I never dated much.”
“But most men say that and it’s never true!”
I chuckled as we went up the stairs. “Well, in my case, it is true.”
“Amazing! A man that looks like you do? Dressed to the nines and you smell like heaven…” she replied as we went down the hall.
I laughed. “Ok, that’s…like a great compliment, but I don’t—”
“Wait,” she cut in as she looked puzzled. “Where are we going?”
“To my room,” I informed her as I finally stopped at my door. “It might be a little messy. I don’t let the maids in here.” I took out my keys and unlocked the door. Opening it, I motioned for her to head in.
She shook her head as she walked past me into my room. “Ok, I think we need to talk about these maids.”
I bit at my lip as I dreaded doing that. I closed the door behind me. “They sort of had a crush on me?”
She kept looking around at my room. “This isn’t messy.”
I shrugged. “The bed is still unmade.”
Looking over, she glanced at it then swung her gaze back to me. “Are you real?”
I chuckled. “I am. Why do you say that?”
“You saw my room!” She shook her head. “Like that was messy. I had clothes on the floor and wet towels in the bathroom. This? It’s like my grandmother's room. Everything in its place. The bed doesn’t even look slept in either.”
I shrugged. “Ok, so I always make it, even in a hurry. And let me be clear…When I knew you were coming, I rushed out of here yesterday.”
She paused to smile at me. “Ok, so we have established that you are…a neat freak on top of being a good looking lawyer with a dazzling smile. But you barely dated? It sounds like one of those pink dolphin stories. A rarity. So what happened with these maids?” she asked again. “I saw them. Very cute.”
“Cute as in barely twenty,” I scoffed.
Bracing her hands on her hips, she asked in a sceptical tone, “So, they both came on to you?”
I nodded. “Yes.”
“At the same time?’
I grimaced at her. “Like they never did any of it one at a time. No! They cornered me by the broom closet one day. Well actually, they tricked me into the broom closet.”
“Tricked you?” Julianna asked as she looked confused.
“Sofie said she couldn’t reach some cleaner on the top shelf,” I explained. “I went in, she came in behind me and shut the door.” Pausing, I hesitated with the next part.
“And…?” Julianna coaxed me.
I let out a heavy breath and told her, “Gina was hiding in there. Then they jumped me.”
She paused and stared at me. “They what?”
“Climbed me like a tree. Kissed every bit of bare skin on me. Sofie ripped my jacket as I fought to keep it on.”
Julianna’s mouth dropped open in shock.
I nodded at her astonishment. “Yeah, that was my initial response too. Disbelief. Those two girls had planned to rape me, I think?”
Julianna stared at me and then asked, “So what happened?”
“I shouted at them to stop and Dante heard it. He opened the door and we all fell out into the hallway. We were rolling around and they were still doing that annoying giggling crap.”
“Oh, wow…”
“Yeah and he laughed so hard that I thought he was gonna pee himself.” I rolled my eyes. “The girls were on top of me, tearing at my clothes and I called to him for help. He backed away and said he didn't do foursomes.”
Julianna blinked at me in surprise again, then she burst into laughter.
“Yeah and he did that too.” I pointed at her. “Laughing until he cried as I was trying to keep my pants on. Covolo, it wasn’t funny. So after he left, I got angry when they refused to let me get up from the floor. I told them they would be summarily fired if they did not get the hell off of me. They finally stopped grappling and giggling. I warned them if they ever tried that kind of thing again, I would tell Zia.”
“Wow, ok so you let them off the hook.”
“I did and I had to blackmail Dante to keep him from telling anyone. I really didn’t want them to get fired, but I never wanted to be woman-handled again either.”
Julianna was laughing.
“I still don’t think it’s funny!” I exclaimed in disgust. “They tried to violate me.”
“I’ve heard the phrase manhandled, but womanhandled?”
“Well, just know that it does exist. It is rare but it can happen.”
“I mean like you having to fight women off? That’s some great dating cred there.” I teased him.
“Not to me, it’s not. I never would have shared it with you but…” I paused.
“But?” she asked while not taking her eyes off me.
“You need to know crap like that. In case it comes up later. I don’t want you troubled over us… ever. Like what if Dante or even one of those maids says something and you hear about it?” I stepped closer to her and added, “And I know something is troubling you. I just cannot figure out what I did wrong.”
“Wrong?” she exclaimed. “You didn’t do anything.”
“Is it Luca?” I asked.
She looked confused and asked, “Your brother, Luca?”
I nodded. “Papa mentioned him and that was when I noticed you looked upset.”
She shook her head. “No, I’ve never even met him. It isn’t you or your family, Romeo. It’s my family actually. So just know that it isn’t you.”
I slowly shook my head at her. “I’ve heard about that line. It’s not you…it’s me. I mean a woman has never said it to me, but I suppose there’s always a first time?”
Scoffing, she said, “Well, this time, it is true.”
“Can you talk about it?’’ I asked softly. “Maybe I can help?”
“I’m not sure where to even begin?” she said as she teared up. “I grew up in New York City. In an old Italian neighborhood. The very same one that welcomed the first Italian immigrants. Little Italy. Me, Mama, Papa and my sister. My dad worked in a factory and my mom was a housekeeper. We were like a typical blue collar working family. Then my Papa moved up in life and my mother helped him. We got a bigger house and even had a few servants. We were a happy family as far as I can remember, then…”
I walked over to her and swiped the tears from her face. “Then what?”
“Damn it…” She sniffled. “You made me cry! I knew I shouldn’t talk about…” She slugged my arm. “I hate fucking crying!”
I grabbed my arm where her small fist had tried to do damage but didn’t and whined, “Owww! Calm down, slugger,” I teased.
Laughing, she swiped a leftover tear from her cheek. “You always know how to make me laugh. I love that about you.” Julianna literally jumped up on me, kissing me.
I admit this did surprise me… her sudden kiss. But I held her and took what she gave me, letting her lead.
She kissed me hard and held me close. Pulling from my lips, she said in a breathless tone, “I love being with you.”
I gazed into her eyes. “I love it too.” I carried her to the bed and sat her down. I loved her in fact. I just needed to wait until she was ready to hear it.
“Oh, good.” She looked down and patted the mattress. “We get to use your very neat bed.” She wiggled her brows at me.
“You didn’t finish telling me—”
She pouted. “Never mind about that. I think we should stay in bed all afternoon.”
I raised my brows at her. “Really?” I loved the idea but she didn’t know about the meeting. “We’ve only got…” I looked down at my watch and said, “...an hour and a half maybe?”
“Until what?” she asked.
“My father called a planning meeting. You do know that tonight is the night, right?”
Nodding, her smile and flirtation faded away.
“Don’t look like that. We can’t fly off to heaven for the whole afternoon, but we have enough time to touch the sky.”
Staring into my eyes, she smiled. “That is exactly what it felt like.”
“For me too.” I smiled. “I’d thought that I messed up with you somehow. I mean earlier, you acted like maybe you regretted touching the sky with me.”
“Hell no,” she scoffed. “Just give me some time. I’m not sure there is a real problem yet.”
“Yet?” I asked. “You need to talk to me.”
“And I have.” She nodded. “I wanted to make sure you knew it was not you at fault.”
“At fault? For what?”
“I’m not sure yet.”
I raised my arms in frustration. “You counter like a lawyer, Ms. Regatta. No wonder you beat everyone in court.”
She laughed. “I’m not like…” She shook her head.
“Not what?” I asked. “Avoiding something? Keeping something to yourself?”
She tilted her head at me. “It might be nothing. I could be mistaken.”
“Ok, you lost me…again.” I felt frustrated.
“Maybe I haven’t been with you all that long but I know when you...”
I chuckled. “When I what?”
“When you get agitated. Which isn't often. Like you get a look in your eyes.”
“I do, eh?” I stared at her and my gaze lowered slowly down along her body. “What does my look say now?”
“I hope it says, I am gonna fuck you hard, Julianna .”
I laughed. “Covolo, you have no shame, counselor!”
Shrugging, she replied, “Not about this. I never knew…” Her voice fell away again.
“What?” I sat down on the bed next to her.
“That sex could be like that. Spinning through infinity as they say. Lit up like a rocket in the sky.”
“You found the right man is all.”
She grinned. “Dritto, dritto! Damn straight, I did!”
I laughed again. This woman was so right for me. I knew it from the very first. One of the reasons I brought her to my room…I needed to change clothes for today. I found what I needed then looked back at Julianna.
She laid on the bed nude.
I raised my brows at this unexpected sight. “Trying to tempt me?”
Julianna spread her thighs open. “Is it working?”
I got hard instantly…Of course. “What am I going to do with you?’
She laughed. “Do I need to make a list?”
I rolled my eyes. “Yeah, dumbass question.”
She licked her lips. “Can I help it if I’m addicted to you?” she asked in a low voice.
I slowly shook my head. I had vowed to get her addicted and now I got my wish.
She smiled and said, “Well, maybe this will work?” She got up, turned on the bed, and got on all fours. Laying her chest down on the bed, she raised her beautiful creamy ass up at me.
Fuck! This sight undid me. I couldn’t fight this—she had pushed my beast too far with this position I think. I dropped my socks, undershirt and briefs to the floor.
“I’m going to stay just like this until you do me, Romeo,” she purred.
I undid my dress pants and let them slide down to the floor along with my briefs. “You push too far, little Julie.”
“Oh? So what are you going to do about it?” She giggled as she waited.
I got on the bed and looked at her sweet slit. “This,” I finally answered. Poking my tongue out, I licked her slit down to her clit.
“Oooohh.” Her body shuddered but she remained in position.
Pushing two fingers into her, I stroked her then reached under her and tweaked a nipple. I loved having her like this. It filled me with such lust and need.
“Mhmmm,” she mewled. “Please Romeo? I need you, please?” she begged.
Damn, she was so tempting. My cock hardened even more with her begging. I played with her body like before and drove her to wildness.
“Mmm…” she moaned.
I added a finger to her core and thumbed her button as well.
“Damn, Romeo!” She trembled and shuddered.
“You like this?” I asked.
“Anything you do to me. Your fingers, your mouth, that tongue… Everything.”
Well fuck, that was a helluva answer. I played with her some more until she was literally panting and barely able to stay in position. “Gotta make you pay for tempting me,” I teased her.
She laughed. “ I know you wanna do me …” she sang.
I smiled. “Yes, I do wanna do you. Up on your hands.”
She rose up on all fours again.
Bracing her hips with my hands, I shoved in deep.
“Ahhh,” she let out a yell.
I pulled back then thrust up into her hard. “Like that?”
“Yes, yes!” she let out breathlessly.
I then stopped. “I want you to do me now.”
Julianna paused as if to figure this out.
“Push yourself back over me. Then forward.”
She moved back and I held still. Then she moved forward as her warm, wet sheath slid over my cock. “Ohhh,” she panted.
“Si, that’s it, sweet Julie,” I coaxed her. Such a beautiful sight. Julianna was so sensuous… so perfect for me.
She did just as I said as I watched. “Come on, babe. Faster, harder.” I was almost breathless now.
“Ohhhh,” she wailed as she glided her body back and forth.
“Yes, get some more.” I reached under her, grabbed her nipples and flicked them with my fingers.
“Dannazione, Romeo. Ohh!” she panted. “Ahh… so addicted to you…”
Just what I had wanted to hear. “Come on me, dolcezza,” I cooed at her as I tweaked her nipples.
She amped it up as she gasped then whimpered while using her body to fuck me.
The sounds she made and the way she moved was hot as hell. She screamed out, “Romeo! Ohhhh…” She came with her body shuddering wildly.
I buried myself deep into her, meeting her last thrust and came hard. “Cazzo…” I groaned as we came together.
“God, the things you do to me,” she whispered breathlessly. “I will never get enough of you.”
I felt so elated to hear this from her. “Nor will I, Julie.” I pulled out of her.
She landed heavily on the bed on her face with a dramatic plop . “God, I came so hard.”
I chuckled as I leaned down and kissed her neck. “I’m Italian, so I never do anything halfway.”
She spluttered a laugh. “A rocket, Romeo. I was a lit rocket.”
I laughed with her as I pulled her up off the bed and hefted her over my shoulder.
“W-what are you—”
I smacked her asscheek. “We have to shower, then we have a war meeting, counselor.”
“Ugg…I just wanna stay in bed,” she whined.
“Careful consigliere, I warned you about this already,” I quipped. “You want another smack on the culo?”
“Really?” Juliana exclaimed. “Culo? I’ve never known anyone to use that word.”
I shrugged. “Hey, like I said, I’m Italian.”
Julianna laughed as I carried her into the bathroom.
