Chapter 2
Christophe
Today I’m heading to Seattle with my brothers Fran?ois and Jér?me. Jér?me’s taking a couple of months off before he starts his new job in Lake Renegade. We invited our other brother Fabien, to join us. But he’s in the middle of filming a movie and can’t get away right now.
“So what are your plans while we’re in Seattle?” Jér?me asks as we wait for Fran?ois to get here so we can head to the airport.
“Well there’s this club that I heard of. There’s one in Chicago, New York, New Orleans and now one in Seattle. So I was thinking of trying it out.”
Jér?me is staring at me. Okay, I know that was a vague answer but how do you tell your brother that you want to check out a sex club?
“Is it a super-secret squirrel club or something?” He chuckles.
“No. It’s—well—oh fucking hell. It’s a sex club. Don’t judge me,” I blurt out.
Jér?me starts laughing. What as ass. I wait for him to stop, but at this point it looks like he might just pass out from the lack of oxygen. Which may not be a bad thing. People are starting to stare at him, so I back away slowly. He finally starts sucking in air and his color is returning to normal.
“Do you mean Club Sin?” He asks, still smiling.
How the fuck does he know about Club Sin?
I frown at him. “Yeah. How do you know about it?”
“I over-heard some interns talking about the one in Chicago. It sounded interesting, but I never have enough free time to check it out. But since we’re here, maybe I’ll join you. I’m sure Fran?ois will say yes to going.”
“I wonder if Fran?ois has tried Club Sin?”
“I’m sure he would’ve said something if he’s gone to one. You know he can’t keep shit to himself.” Jér?me laughs.
“You’re right.” I chuckle.
Out of all of us, Fran?ois has always been the one who couldn’t keep a secret. Even when we were kids, we never told him things if it was a surprise. The first and only time we did was when he was nine. We were trying to plan a surprise for Giovanna. She knew something was going on and she hates not knowing things. She tried to get each of us to tell her. I thought Lorenzo was going to break down and tell her. But nope. Fran?ois was the one who couldn’t keep it to himself. He told her the whole surprise.
“Why is it you fuckers are always picking on me? Isn’t it the youngest that’s supposed to be picked on?” Fran?ois squints at us and points at Jér?me.
“Where the fuck did you come from?” Jér?me squints back at him. “And don’t point at me. I’m not the one who can’t keep a secret.”
“It’s not my fault you assholes don’t pay attention to your surroundings.” He smirks. “Too busy being mean to me. And I can keep a fucking secret.”
“Name one time you did.” I laugh.
Fran?ois thinks for a minute—you can see the realization that he can’t keep a secret and we all start laughing.
“You both suck,” he says through his laughter. “It was ONE TIME. And I was nine, for fucks sake.”
“Yeah but it was an important one and you caved when Giovanna poked at you.”
“She looked at me with her big sad eyes and I just couldn’t.” Fran?ois sighs. “You know that look she gets. Hell, she still gets that look now!”
Fran?ois is right. If there’s anyone who can make any of us feel bad or give up information it’s our baby sister. She’s got the biggest green eyes and she has that innocent look down.
Fran?ois
I can keep secrets, they just don’t know. I mean you make a few mistakes as a kid and brothers will never let you forget it. I’m excited to be going to Seattle with them. I want to check out a club I heard about. Club Sin. There’s one here in Chicago, but I’ve never had the time to go.
“What were you two talking about?” I ask them as we head into the airport.
“There’s a club we’re thinking of going to while we’re in Seattle.”
“Awesome. What kind of club? Dance club?”
Jér?me laughs.
“No, it’s a specialty club,” Christophe says.
I frown at both of them. “What the fuck is a ‘specialty club’?”
“It’s a place where special things happen.” Jér?me chuckles.
“You’re an ass.” I laugh.
“In all seriousness, it’s a sex club,” Christophe explains.
“Wait, is it called Club Sin?”
Both my brothers turn and stare at me.
“How do you know about Club Sin?” Jér?me asks me.
“Giovanna told me about it.”
“Has she—you know what? I don’t want to know,” Jér?me says as he makes a gagging noise. “Have you been to the one in Chicago?”
I shake my head no. “I thought about it, but I never seem to have time. So I figured since we’re headed to Seattle, why not try the newest club.”
“That’s what we thought too.” Christophe chuckles.
“Should we check it out tonight?” I ask them.
“Yeah, I think we’ll have time when we get in. I’m pretty sure it opens at nine. So we can grab dinner and then head over to the club.”
Jér?me and I nod at Christophe. Suddenly I’m even more excited to get to Seattle.
Renee
I’ve made up my mind and I’m going to Club Sin tonight. If I end up not liking it, well at least I tried. I’m going with my friend Lavender, she’s the one who told me about the club. And how much she loves it there. She’s tried a few different rooms and says she likes the variety. I’m a little scared to try it out. But even though, I’m excited.
I look at my phone as it starts ringing.
“Hey Lav, are we still on for tonight?” I answer.
“Hell yes! I’m so excited you’re going with me. I think you’re going to love it.”
I laugh at how excited she is.
“So I’ll pick you up at seven and we can have dinner before going to the club. The doors open at nine. And you want to get there early so that you can choose your room. Otherwise you’re kind of stuck with the rooms that are left.”
“Sounds good, I’ll be ready.”
