Chapter 19

Sabastian

W e reached Rockefeller Center in no time, because the apartment was only a few city blocks away. I tucked my hand inside my pocket, and pulled out my iPhone, because when I didn’t have my camera and mic I would use my phone. This was perfect to film. I could edit and add narration later, but I would have some great footage. Some of my viewers had never been to New York. This was an exciting city even with all its troubles, but my troubles had just begun because of Cam.

I filmed along the way and got in enough footage. Justin was great and he shared my eagerness because he was a content creator as well.

However, Cam had been quiet the entire time. He let Robby talk and intermittently Robby would tuck his arm under Cam’s arm. Cam tried to be a gentleman and he’d allow Robby’s mischief. I thought he knew what Robby was doing, but when Robby tried to hold his hand I watched Cam say no to Robby in a tone I’d experienced. There were lines Cam wouldn’t cross especially with me around, I thought.

Robby, on the other hand, never let something like that bother him. He knew Cam felt uneasy about their match up, but what Cam didn’t know was Robby was trying to make Justin jealous.

I didn’t think the jealousy plan worked on Justin, but I felt it working in my favor because when we lagged back looking into the shops and filming, Cam would stop until we caught up, and he’d give me a stern grim face, then turn quickly around offering me his back, then strutting ahead of us.

Yeah he was as handsome coming as going.

“Can’t you two keep up?” he said, stopping once more. “We’re going to miss the lighting. Once that’s over it’s not the same,” he barked at Justin. Nevertheless, Justin remained calm, but pissed.

“What’s with you, Cameron. We’re not children where you have to scold us. If you want to see the lights go ahead, it’s not as if it’s the first time we’ve seen the tree lighting ceremony, but Sam is filming, and he does this as a job.”

“I thought maybe Sam would want to see it too.” He gazed at me and I lowered my eyes because I didn’t want him to see the passion I held for him.

I glanced at Justin. “This is the first time I’ve seen it, and I would like to get there on time I can film the tree lighting.” Robby stood near with a hidden grin enjoying the drama.

“Well, you romantic dudes, let’s do this.” We walked quickly, then strode among a large crowd looking up and gawking at how large the tree was. And then the snow began falling in small flakes, and because Robby had on only a jacket, he began shivering and inching his way in Justin’s direction and between us.

When the tree lights lit up the center in one large flash, I glanced over at Cam and he stared at me, and we both saw Robby holding on to Justin for warmth. Justin however was accommodating, but didn’t appear to be excited about the idea of Robby clinging to him. He eyed me and then Robby. He reluctantly placed his arm around him to keep him from freezing.

Some of Robby’s antics of shivering may have been less than we thought. Robby was a great actor and salesman and he was selling everyone a bag of BS.

“There’s a cab, let’s take it,” Justin said. “Robby’s cold, and there’s a party with drinks, hot chocolate, and hot men.” We climbed into the cab and headed back to the party. However, before we arrived, Cam told the driver to let him off to catch another cab.

“I can drop you off,” the cabbie said, “If your friends don’t mind stopping.”

“You go back to the hotel,” Justin said. “I’m going to take the boys back to the party. We might even have a threesome.” I knew he was joking, but I didn’t think Cam knew, because it took three, and I wouldn’t be a part of that trio. Robby, on the other hand, I’d known him to be down with most things just to get attention, and to get Justin the way he wanted—balls deep inside him.

The cabbie became silent except for the sounds of Manhattan with the car horns, fire and police sirens blasting. Cam reached to pay, and Justin said, “Hell no. It’s my party. You’ve done enough by encouraging me to come here. I’m having a blast. I can’t remember when I’ve had a better time. See you at the hotel later.”

“I have a meeting tomorrow so I’ll see you for dinner. Do you guys want to join us for dinner at our hotel?”

“Sure,” Robby said before I could respond, therefore, I remained quiet. I guessed I was still pissed at how Cam had treated me and I was looking for a way to get even. It was stupid and elementary on my part, but when men played games with each other it was all basic shit. Like boys on a playground.

“Are you coming, Sam? I want you to be there.” He finally talked to me and not around me. He finally told me he wanted to see me. He finally gave an inch.”

“Yes. I’ll be there, Cameron.” I had given him everything he wanted except calling him the name I called him in bed.

“Then it’s a date.” And when the cab came to a stop, Cam stepped out and strolled into the hotel.

The cab didn’t make it a block before Justin said, “Why don’t we go to my hotel and have a few drinks, talk, and listen to music.”

“Are you including me?” Robby asked.

“Of course I mean you too, Robby.” Robby snuggled up to Justin. “You’re so warm and comfy. You know what they say about men who are always this hot, I mean with your temperature. I bet you run one hundred degrees all the time, while us mortals run ninety-nine.” I wanted to say the normal body temperature is ninety-eight you moron, but Robby was trying and I didn’t want to interfere, because I wanted to get this over with without hurting anyone’s feelings. “And you’re not even sick.” He might be if he’s that hot to the touch, I thought.

“And that face and body is super-hot.”

Oh for fuck’s sake, why don’t you tell Justin it’s you who wants to fuck him and get this over with so we can end this evening on a good note and I can prepare to meet my boss tomorrow.

“Is that all we’re going to do?” Robby said. I gave Robby a hard nudge in the side.

“Do you have any ideas?” Justin asked with a grin that said he was into more than I wanted to participate in, yet I remained quiet and allowed Robby to take over because I knew what I wanted and it wasn’t a threesome with Justin and Robby.

“I have plenty of ideas,” Robby said, turning to look at me. I gave him a firm push in case he didn’t get the hint before.

“I have to get ready to meet my boss,” I said when I could no longer go along with the charade.

“Just one drink with us,” Robby pleaded, “and I won’t ask for anything else.”

“Yeah, please, Sam. I enjoy talking to you and your friend.” I didn’t think all Justin wanted to do was talk, but that was all I had in mind because after seeing Cam I wanted to fall into his bed and let him drown in my body.

“Okay, but I’m going to rest and then I’m taking a cab back to my hotel and get in bed—”

“That settled it. Cabbie take us back to the hotel where you left my friend.”

“I’ll do what you asked, but I hope you know the meter was still running while you were trying to make up your minds,” the cabbie said.

“Do I look like I care, you have my credit card and if I ask for a tour of Manhattan, I can cover that and more.”

“A man after my own heart,” Robby chimed in and held on to Justin’s muscular arms gushing and drooling against Justin’s leather coat.
