Chapter Nineteen #2

"You're wearing my name." His voice had dropped to something raw. "On your back. In front of everyone."

"That was the point."

"I know." He stepped closer. His hand found the collar of the cut, fingers tracing the leather, the patches, the promise stitched into every seam. "I just need a minute to believe it's real."

Michelle reached up, caught his hand, pressed it flat against her heart.

"Real enough?"

His breath left him in a rush. Then his mouth was on hers—not gentle, not patient. Claiming. The kiss of a man who'd just declared ownership in front of everyone he loved and was now collecting on the promise in private.

Michelle kissed him back with equal intensity. Her hands fisted in his cut, pulling him closer, and the sound he made—low, desperate, undone—sent heat pouring through her body.

"The cut stays on," he growled against her mouth.

"Bossy."

"Possessive." His hands slid beneath the leather, finding skin, and Michelle arched into him with a gasp. "There's a difference."

"Show me."

He lifted her. She wrapped her legs around his waist, the claiming cut shifting on her shoulders, and he carried her to the bed with the focused intensity of a man on a mission he intended to complete thoroughly.

They fell together. His weight pressed her into the mattress, and Michelle pulled him closer—never close enough, not tonight, not when the ceremony still hummed in her blood and his name rode her back like a brand.

He undressed her slowly. Peeled away everything except the cut, leaving her bare beneath his leather and his gaze and the weight of what they'd just committed to.

"Every day." His mouth traced the line of her collarbone. "Every morning. Every night. You're going to know you're mine."

"I already know."

"Then let me remind you." His hands mapped her body with devastating patience. "Because I plan on doing this for the rest of our lives, and I want to get it right."

Michelle pulled his shirt over his head, running her palms across the scars and ink that told the story of thirteen years she'd never fully understand but had chosen to love anyway.

"Alex." She said his name like an invocation. "You've been getting it right since the first night."

Something cracked open in his expression. The last wall. The final barrier between the man he'd been and the man he was becoming.

"Say it again."

"Alex." She pulled him down to her. "My Alex."

He came undone.

His mouth found her breast and she gasped, her back arching off the mattress.

His hands gripped her hips—hard, claiming, the possessiveness that had been building all night finally finding its grip.

She reached between them and took him in her hand and his whole body went rigid, a groan tearing from his throat that she felt in her own chest.

"Now." She guided him to her, wrapping her legs around him. "I want you now."

He drove into her and they both made sounds that weren't words.

Michelle's hands fisted in the leather of her own cut—his cut, his name on her back—and pulled him deeper with her heels.

The claiming wasn't gentle. Wasn't patient.

It was total—possession made physical, every thrust a declaration that matched the one he'd made in front of his brothers.

"Mine." The word ground out between movements. "My old lady. Mine."

"Yours." She met him thrust for thrust, her nails raking down his back. "And you're mine, Alex. Say it."

"Yours." His voice broke on the word. "Always yours."

She surged up and flipped them—using momentum, using the surprise on his face—and pinned his wrists to the mattress. The cut fell open around her shoulders as she settled over him and took him deep, rolling her hips in a rhythm that made his hands strain against her grip.

"You gave me your name tonight." She leaned down, her mouth against his ear. "Your patch. Your brothers." She rolled her hips again and he groaned. "Now give me the rest."

His control shattered.

He broke her grip and surged upright, pulling her against his chest, one arm locked around her waist while the other fisted in her hair.

They moved together—fierce, consuming, his mouth on her throat and her hands gripping his shoulders and the leather cut caught between their bodies like the bond it was.

The pressure built fast, driven by ceremony and adrenaline and the knowledge that this was permanent. Michelle felt it tighten in her core—each movement winding her higher, his hands and his mouth and the hard length of him inside her driving her toward something enormous.

"Look at me." His hand found her jaw, tilting her face down to his. "I want to see you when you fall."

She held his gaze—dark eyes burning, no shadows, no distance, just the man she'd claimed staring up at her like she'd hung the stars—and she let go.

The orgasm hit her like a wave breaking.

Her whole body tightened around him, a cry tearing from her throat, and she watched his face as he felt it—watched his eyes go wild, his jaw clench, his hands grip her hips hard enough to bruise.

He thrust up into her once, twice, and then he was falling with her, a raw sound breaking from his chest as he pulsed inside her, his forehead dropping to her collarbone, his arms shaking, both of them holding on to each other as the world burned down to just this.

Just them.

Just permanent.

They lay tangled in the aftermath, the claiming cut draped across them both, his arms locked around her like he was afraid the world would try to take her back.

"My old lady." He murmured the words against her hair. Testing them. Tasting them. Finding them exactly right. "Michelle Torres. My old lady."

"Sounds good when you say it."

"Sounds like the truest thing I've ever been called." His arms tightened. "Every name I've ever worn—every cover, every alias, every version of myself I've invented—none of them felt real. But this?" He pressed his lips to her temple. "Yours. That feels real."

Michelle smiled against his chest. Listened to his heartbeat—steady, strong, the rhythm of a man who'd finally stopped running.

Through the walls, the celebration continued. Music and laughter and the sounds of a family that had grown by one today.

Her family.

She pressed closer to the man who'd given her his name, his cut, his heart, and everything underneath.

"Alex?"

"Hmm?"

"Take me home tomorrow. To the store. I want to start rebuilding."

His hand found hers in the tangle of sheets and leather.

"First thing in the morning."

Michelle closed her eyes. The claiming cut was warm against her skin. The compound was alive with people who loved them. And the man holding her was, for the first time in his life, exactly who he wanted to be.

Tomorrow, they'd rebuild.

Tonight, they had everything.
