Chapter Thirteen.

“Church is in session. Fortune, is there any updates on finances you wish to bring to the table?” I asked as I glanced across at her.
“None other than the fact that the sale of Mrs Henderson’s bookshop is nearly completed. Do you have a plan for it?” Fortune asked.
“Yes, and I have someone in mind to run it. Don’t worry, sisters, you’re not about to get an extra job.” I chuckled and saw relief cross some of their faces.
“Thank fuck, I couldn’t run a stripper club and a bookshop, what would that say about me?” Tinkerbell said.
“Ain’t commenting,” Sparrow quipped, and laughter rose.
“Slut,” Tinkerbell hissed, and Sparrow shrugged.
“Yeah, I’ll own that,” she laughed.
“Okay, two things on my agenda today. Miles Fox attacks Storm, Cyber has an update, and the Bloody Femmes. We need to retaliate. I want a message sent.”
My sisters exchanged looks. They were all aware of what had happened to Wylde two nights ago, but none commented. It was my personal business, and they knew better than to interfere. “Cyber.”
“I haven’t been able to track Fox through cameras.
I lost him outside of town as the cameras were down.
I have caught images, and it was definitely him.
If the cops do their job, they’ll confirm it too.
This proves that Fox is present and is targeting Storm.
There hasn’t been any sign of a hitman, but Wylde said one had been contacted.
Dagger, Blade, did you dig anything up on the dark web? ” Cyber asked the two enforcers.
“Yes, and no. There was a contract put out on an MC member, but it doesn’t say which MC or where.
The hit was taken by a guy who is dangerous enough to make us believe the attempt will be serious.
But he’ll fail. He’s come up against us before and failed.
He’ll do the same this time. The good news is we know who we’re looking for,” Blade replied.
I nodded. “For now, Storm, Blade and Dagger will remain on you. With their powers, they’ll be able to throw up a smokescreen for you to escape. If you go anywhere without them, Storm, there will be repercussions.”
Storm looked disgruntled at my threat but acquiesced.
“We will find him, sister, I promise. Just give us the time we need,” I promised.
Storm didn’t look pacified.
“The Bloody Femmes took two strikes at us. We’re going to reciprocate.
Sparrow, I need a shipment of drugs transported into their clubhouse, and Vengeance to call it in.
Dagger, I want video footage. Vengeance, you know what to do.
At the same moment, I want my sisters present when the cops cart them off.
I want Foxy to know it was us. I want the shithole diner they run shut down for violations.
Again, I want a presence there when it’s reported. ”
Wicked grins crossed my sisters’ faces. This would be fun.

I leaned against my bike, watching as Manchester PD cuffed Rebel, Vix, and Dangerous and shoved them into a wagon. Beside me lounged Maid, Heart, Nun, and Poker. Rebel saw us and began screeching.
“You fucking cunts, we’ll get you,” she shrieked.
I shook my head. “Told ya, Rebel, crime doesn’t pay,” I called out.
“The Harlots are dead!” Vix screamed.
“Add death threats to the arrest, officers,” Nun shouted. The officer looked amused as the three Bloody Femmes kept kicking off. These were three of the worst members. They all had records already, which was why I’d transported the drugs to the gym that the three of them ran.
Dagger had done her job and created a scene in which shadowy figures wearing Bloody Femmes cuts were seen making drug deals outside the gym.
The video was sufficient for the cops to get a warrant and search the gym.
As owners, Dangerous, Vix, and Rebel were hauled off.
I’d planted enough shit to ensure they did a nice long sentence.
Harleys roared as the door was shut on the wagon, and smiles crossed our faces as Foxy, Cheetah, and several others pulled up. Foxy was glowering as she climbed off her bike and headed towards the cops.
She began screaming and shouting and was shoving a cop when he swung her around and slammed her face down on the car.
“Assault on a cop. Nice,” I crowed as the other four Bloody Femmes also kicked off.
Maid was cheerfully recording everything as the new arrivals were also arrested.
The uniforms kept sending us worried glances as we cheered their efforts.
Finally, the Bloody Femmes were carted off, and my job was done.

“You can’t shut us down!” Ivy yelled as the inspector slammed stickers all over her diner. People were filing out, looking disgusted.
“You had mice and droppings in your kitchen!” the inspector stated angrily. “You were serving people!”
“It’s a set-up. My kitchen is immaculate!” Ivy screeched.
“There was a cockroach in your icing sugar!”
“Bullshit. You put it there, you measly little…” Ivy’s head turned as she heard our tuts. Her eyes narrowed, and she spat on the ground. “Royal Harlots. How much did they pay you?”
“I resent your implication. I found those creatures in your kitchen. The only person to blame is yourself. I have the evidence on camera, and until these premises are clean and bug-free, they are shut! And fines will follow.” The irate man stormed off as I watched.
“Always knew you were dirty sluts, but contaminating your customers’ food? That’s even lower than I believed,” I replied.
“You’ll get yours, Harlots,” Ivy yelled and stamped her foot.
“Wow, talk about childish. Just own it. You’re a dirty cunt, and now Manchester knows not to eat here,” I stated.
Customers were watching, and many were looking green.
“I’d look at suing them, contaminated food with mice droppings. Who knows what you’ve eaten?” I said loudly. Two women bent over and threw up. A guy made his way down an alley, and we heard loud retching.
Ivy looked furious. “You’ll pay for this.”
“I don’t know why. It’s not as if we did this.” I laughed and mounted my bike. “Royal Harlots, let’s ride.”
Storm
“Should you be out and about?” Soul demanded as Dagger, Saphire, Vengeance, and I headed back to our bikes. I’d needed to attend a hospital appointment to get the all clear on some lingering headaches, which I’d received.
“Tell Sapphire we’re coming this weekend. Warden is going to reach out to her and let her know, but give her a heads-up. I understand she’s been pretty vile lately,” Soul said.
“How have you heard that, little brother?” I demanded.
“Gossip travels, and there’s a rumour about a cop that’s truly pissed Sapphire off.”
I quickly glanced at Sapphire to see if she was paying attention, but she was talking to Dagger.
“Nice to know,” I replied. Even though Soul was my brother, I wouldn’t discuss Harlot’s business with anyone else.
“How are you healing?” Soul asked.
“I’m fine.” My hand tightened around the phone.
“Lie.”
I growled at Soul’s reply. Having a baby brother who was an alpha male and who shared the same power as me was a pain in the ass.
“Tell the truth,” Soul followed up.
“I’m still getting random headaches, but I will be fine. Don’t you stress.”
“It’s my job to worry,” Soul retorted, and I snorted.
“I think you’re forgetting who raised whom. Look after your woman and kids. They should keep you out of trouble.”
“Yeah, Bryony gets into her own shit,” Soul said, but the love in his voice made tears come into my eyes.
“Glad you got that, Soul. Love that you found your anchor and soulmate,” I whispered, and Soul made an indistinguishable noise.
“It will happen for you one day,” he said with dedicated belief.
“He’d have to be a lunatic to put up with the club, but we’ll see. Have a good day,” I said and cut the call.
Dagger hit me like a ton of bricks as a shot boomed out.
Sapphire yelped as Vengeance took her to the ground and rolled.
I went down with my sister on top of me and hit my head.
Damn it, I’d just got the all-clear! Dazed, I realised we were being fired upon and I shoved upwards against Dagger’s dead weight and rolled her off me.
Dagger fought to keep me under her as a second shot echoed.
‘We’re being fired upon!’ I screamed into my mind, aiming at Belladonna.
Darkness fell, hiding our bodies from the buildings surrounding us.
“Move,” Dagger hissed as a shot went wild.
Vengeance raised a barrier created from weeds as Dagger sent frightening images into the dark, and a scream echoed. Using the plants as a shield, we moved towards where we’d just left. Right now, we were sitting ducks.
‘Sparrow is there with Candle,’ Belladonna replied.
Lightning flashed across the sky and struck at random. A second startled scream bounced off the walls. I imagined the hitman was running for cover. Hands grabbed me, and I turned and struck out. Sparrow ducked as trash cans began flinging in every direction.
Another shot rang out.
Dagger grunted and stumbled as we hid behind an entrance wall, and Candle raised her head as forked lightning struck around us. Several screams were heard as people sought cover.
I reached out, grasped Sapphire, and touched something sticky. Shit, Sapphire was bleeding. Sapphire shrugged me off and raised her gun. In the darkness, we couldn’t see anything, and she would be foolish to shoot.
“Drop your shield,” Sapphire ordered Vengeance. The plants retreated, and Dagger began slowly lightening the darkness. Sapphire squinted and searched for the attacker.
“I can’t see anyone,” Dagger called.
“No, he’s run,” Sapphire agreed.
“You need ER. Move,” Vengeance ordered.
Sapphire glared, but I saw she was wounded in two places. “What the fuck?” I gasped.
“She covered you,” Vengeance snapped as Sapphire offered me a weak grin.
