Sasquatch #2

He didn’t point out that he didn’t fuck her yet, instead he texted him first. Squatch knew Croon wouldn’t appreciate that.

SQUATCH: I’ll give you two but only because as small as you are it’ll take that for me to even feel it. But I mean it—D A T E.

CROON: I should’ve known it would be you.

He’d barely had time to read the text before the next one arrived.

CROON: Don’t fuck with her, brother. She deserves everything good this world has to offer after the hand she’s been dealt. If you hurt her my size won’t matter, I’ll end you.

SQUATCH: I expect nothing less. Don’t intend to hurt her.

As he stared at the words, he realized how true they were. If he was honest with himself, he’d wanted Devin for years, but he’d shut it down as soon as the prospect became a patched brother and earned his road name.

Without thought, he sent one last text.

SQUATCH: I intend to make her mine.

He hit send on the last before he realized he’d even typed it. He just wanted to date her, see where it led, but it was out there now. Floated to her brother already.

Fuck.

If things didn’t work out, those few words would destroy his friendship with his brother and cause a ripple effect throughout the club.

He typed out, I didn’t mean it that way, but he couldn’t send it. It would just make shit worse. Not to mention just then, his Aunt Phoebe’s voice wove through his brain.

“Rarely do people speak what they don’t mean, even if they don’t know it or don’t mean to say it. Sometimes, especially in the heat of the moment, our heart speaks without our permission. It’s important that you listen.”

So, with the three dots bouncing with Croon’s response, he erased his potential message and pocketed the phone.

Anything he had to say would keep until tomorrow.

Squatch’d done right by his club brother, telling him before he even put his lips on her.

They’d settle it the old-fashioned way tomorrow.

As long as Croon was satisfied, his prez would be too.

“March up to the bar, take Scott’s face in your big ol’ mitts and plant a wet one on him.”

Sasquatch was only half paying attention as his brain was on kissing Devin.

“What now?”

“Kiss Scott.”

“Sweetness, I can’t just walk up to people and kiss them. There’s a little thing called consent. Without that, it’s a crime.”

Devin turned in her chair, sweeping her gaze Scott’s way, who stood staring at them from behind the bar with a dumbfounded look on his face.

“Scott,” she called in a sing-song voice.

“I consent,” he blurted with zero hesitation. He’d heard their whole exchange. For a moment he wondered if he’d also listened in while he’d poured his heart out. In that moment, it didn’t matter. What Devin wanted, she’d get.

If she thought he’d back down, she was sorely mistaken.

“Fine, but I get to claim one from you as soon as I return.”

“That’s not how this works.”

“Oh, but I beg to differ. If I understand trailer park rules, then I can modify the game when offended. Well, I’m offended that you think I’d run screaming at the thought of kissing a man. Therefore, I demand the offense price of a kiss from you in lieu of a shot.”

She harrumphed as if put out, but there was no missing the spark that flared in her eyes. That was a good sign since he’d kinda sorta claimed her to her brother.

Oh, shit. Croon.

He’d probably be blowing up her phone and that was not how she needed to find out about their little text exchange.

“And no phones for the rest of the night. Trailer Park rules.”

“Mine’s been off since we left. I know Croon likes to track where I go, but you were tapping away earlier. Who were you chatting with.”

Her phone status was a relief.

“You’re deflecting. But.” He pulled his phone from his cut and silenced it. No way would he be out of communication if his club needed him. His eyes dropped to the text preview, but he forced himself not to read it. He stood. “Now… I’ve got a man to kiss.”

Squatch strode to the bar, reached over the scarred wood surface, pulled Scott’s face to his, and with an over-the-top smacking sound, planted a kiss right on his lips.

It was over quick and Squatch barely had time to analyze how it felt to kiss someone with facial hair when Devin was squealing with delight.

The other patrons whom he’d forgotten about were clapping and whooping.

Or should he say patron. The woman at the bar was the only one left.

That bothered him. He’d been so into Devin, he’d lost situational awareness. Not a good quality in an enforcer.

The lady commented. “Damn. That was hot.”

“Right?” Devin shouted from their table.

Squatch was on her in no time, pulling her to her feet and fitting their bodies together.

“I like trailer park rules,” he murmured as he carded his fingers up through her locks from her neck. With his palm against her scalp at the back, he fisted her hair, positioning her just so for his kiss and his lips descended to hers.

She opened for him without hesitation and he deepened the kiss. Their tongues tangled together in a dance of sensuality. His cock hardened almost instantaneously. Pulling the kiss back just enough to suck her tongue into his mouth, he was rewarded by her doing the same to his bottom lip.

Fuck.

It was one of the best kisses he’d had in a really long time.

The act of kissing had become boring, routine to him. It was just something he did when he wanted to fuck someone. It didn’t mean anything. It was simply part of the game. Not one he’d particularly enjoyed or hated, it was just eh.

Until Devin.

Even before their current kiss had ended, he found himself anticipating the next one and the next…

Kissing her and being kissed by her ranked up there with the main event. He was losing himself to it when she moaned and Scott cleared his throat.

That’s when he remembered their audience yet again.

Reluctantly pulling his lips from hers, he dropped his forehead to hers. “To be continued?” he said hopefully, more like a question than a statement.

Before she could answer, even if she was going to, Scott interrupted.

“Since this game is going so well, I thought I’d drop off another round.” Sasquatch watched in his periphery as the man dropped off more shots, water, and beer.

The blown-out, dazed look in Devin’s seductive eyes had him wanting to pound his chest like a neanderthal and toss her over his shoulder, but the need to know more about her won out over his libido.

“Thanks, man,” Squatch said to Scott’s retreating back while lowering Devin back to her seat.

“You got a cigarette, handsome? A lady needs a smoke after that.” Squatch smirked at the statement from the woman at the bar. She was fanning herself.

Any other time, Squatch would’ve strode over and lit one for her, maybe flirted a bit just for the hell of it, but with Devin’s taste still on his lips, he couldn’t even entertain such a notion.

After regaining his seat, he lit another cigarette. Meeting her still stunned gaze, Squatch dumped the coin from the glass into his palm.

“Shall we?”

Devin nodded. The fact she was still in a daze made his head swell. He did that with just a kiss. It was a hell of a kiss, but still, they’d been fully clothed, in public and yet it had devastated them both… in the best of ways. He wanted to beat his chest and grunt.

With the flick of his wrist, the quarter popped off the table and landed with a tink in the glass. Making a few more high-pitched sounds as it settled.

His attention diverted as two guys and a girl entered. Scott greeted them as strangers, not regulars.

After assessing them as no threat, he dragged his attention back to the beautiful woman in front of him who was touching her lips dreamily.

Fuck. If he wasn’t already hard from the feel of her body as he’d held her close and devoured her mouth, that would’ve done it.

“Fuck, Sweetness, do you know what that does to me? You keep doing that, my head’s gonna get so big me and my ego can’t fit in the same room together.”

Devin dropped her hands to her lap. And chewed on her lip instead. Like that was any better. Jesus, she was slaying him while bringing him back to life at the same time.

“Truth or dare?”

“I don’t know if I can handle another kiss like that without climbing you like a spider monkey up a tree,” she mumbled to herself, but he heard it and his chest puffed up even more. “Truth it is,” she said with conviction.
