Chapter 16
Chapter Sixteen
Stella
After Angel left earlier, I got up and took a shower and decided to give myself a mani-pedi. I painted my toes a bright blue. I never have time for something so relaxing considering I’m usually exhausted to the point I only want to fall into my bed and sleep for days.
Since the ‘accident’ I’ve been on leave, healing, and when left alone, I don’t know what to do with myself.
I haven’t been out of the clubhouse, not even to step outside for fresh air.
I know I’ve nothing to fear being here, but I didn’t want to take chances.
Not that anyone would be stupid enough to try anything here at the clubhouse.
Sitting in the kitchen with a cup of hot tea in hand, I groan at the taste. I like hot tea, but I prefer my coffee. Going without for the next however many months is going to suck, and I refuse to think about decaf—gross.
Thankfully, the nausea’s subsided and I’m feeling better each day.
I’d be even better if Angel would have sex with me to relieve the ache he’s left me with on a daily basis.
I love the fact that he enjoys toying with me and the orgasms he gives me, but I need more.
I’m not hurting anymore. This morning, if he didn’t have to leave, I intended to get exactly what I was dying for.
Just like I did when he kept refusing to let me go down on him.
“What’s with the look?” my brother asks, breaking me from my thoughts.
I blink a few times, coming out of my daze to meet my brother’s gaze. “What?”
Hellhound gives me a look and shakes his head. “Nope. No, not gonna go there. I know that fuckin’ look.”
“What are you talking about?” I furrow my brow confused by his statement.
“You got that daydreamin’ look you always had as a kid,” he clarifies. “I don’t want to know what you were daydreamin’ about. I’m sure it’s got nothing to do with what you used to think about. And if it is, the answer is no, you can’t ride my motorcycle.”
At my brother’s remark, I blink a second before throwing my head back and bursting out in laughter. I’d completely forgotten I used to do that . . . ask him to let me ride his bike. At one time I wanted my own.
“I forgot about that,” I admit, sobering and meeting his gaze once more. “You never would let me ride it. To be honest, I’ve yet to ride one except for Dad’s when he would take me around the block.”
“Maybe Angel will take you eventually,” he grunts and nods to my stomach, “but not while you’re carrying his kid.”
“You should know better.” I roll my eyes and lift the mug to my lips, downing more of the warm liquid.
Hellhound starts to say something else when the door bursts open and Tombstone stalks in looking pissed.
“We gotta lock shit down,” he announces, his attention solely on Hellhound. “Warning came in we’re about to have a raid here in a couple of hours.”
“Fuck.” Hellhound snarls. “Nothing here for them to get us on. But that don’t mean we don’t have shit to put away.” My brother turns from Tombstone to look at me. “Stella, for the time being, I want you to go to Angel’s room and stay there until he gets back.”
Nodding, I slip off my stool and turn to leave the room. I stop at the door and glance at him over my shoulder seeing him talking quietly to Tombstone, the two of them making plans. Hellhound lifts his gaze to mine, and I offer him a small smile before leaving them to it.
I don’t know what’s going on, but from the looks on their faces and the word ‘raid’, I’m guessing it’s not a good thing.
Doing as my brother asks, I go straight to Angel’s room to chill until he gets here.
I’m sure I’d be with the other ol’ ladies, but they’re all working at the garage today.
Well, Ivy and Isabelle are. Sutton was working from home today.
According to the text she sent to our group chat, she was on a major deadline and needed to get it done or she’d lose her boots money.
I step through the doorway, close it behind me, and make sure to lock it. I figure I’ll watch a movie or something. As I start toward the bed, the bathroom door opens and out steps a man I’ve never seen before. He’s holding a gun pointed at me and has a smirk on his face.
“Well . . . Well . . . Well . . . Looks like that bitch is smarter than she looks. Now, be a good little whore that you’ve turned out to be and come with me nice and quiet like. I’d hate to have to blow the place to smithereens.”
My heart pounds mercilessly against my chest at the threat against me and the club. How did this guy get in here? Who is he talking about? What ‘bitch’ is he speaking of?
“Come on. I don’t have all day. let’s go.” He waves the gun, motioning for me to move.
Slowly, I do so while trying to rack my brain with a plan to somehow get out of this, but from the crazy look in the man’s eyes, I know there’s no way to get out without someone getting hurt.
I step into the bathroom and come to a halt at the opening in the wall next to the sink.
What the hell? There’s a secret door. Talk about weird and freaky.
The man holding a gun on me shoves me through the entrance and steps through behind me, sealing us in the dark depths of what seems to be a tunnel.
Upon entry, there are stairs that lead further down into where I don’t know, but I’m sure to find out soon enough.
“Walk,” he commands, pressing the gun deeper into my side.
My throat tightens and I try to keep my breathing even, but it’s not easy. The feeling of being closed in on . . . that the walls surrounding me will collapse in on me at any given moment, it’s nearly more than I can bear.
I don’t know what’s about to happen, but I couldn’t jeopardize the club or the other ol’ ladies. I just hope that soon they’ll find I’m missing and that it won’t be too late.
