Chapter 9

Chapter nine

David

Their hand felt perfect in mine as we walked to my bedroom. I’d hoped Ellery and I would be compatible, but I’d never dreamed we’d click as well as we have. Ellery was everything I could ever want in a partner. Something about them settled my soul.

When I broke down, embarrassment and shame threatened to swallow me whole. Then Ellery’s kindness and warm touch instantly quieted those ugly thoughts.

I’d always seen myself as the Daddy. Needing to be the one in control and providing care. When Ellery asked me if I needed time to be in my Daddy headspace, it made me feel cared for in ways I’d never quite felt before.

Most people didn’t realize that being a Daddy is just as vital to us as regressing is to littles.

When caring for someone, they become my whole focus.

The rest of the world and all my worries fade away.

Being a Daddy is my safe space. It grounds me just as much as painting does. It will always be a part of me.

When we reached my bedroom, I released Ellery’s hand from mine and regretted the action almost instantly. Unfortunately, it was unavoidable. I placed their bags neatly on the bed and then turned toward them and opened my arms.

I expected them to step into my embrace, but what actually happened was infinitely better. Ellery wrapped their arms around my neck and then jumped. Their legs were quick to wrap around my waist. My arms instinctively reached down and grabbed their ass to hold them tighter against me.

“Princess, I need to know. Do you have any hard limits while in little space?”

Ellery nuzzled their cheek against my shoulder, practically purring like a kitten.

“I very rarely get aroused in little space, but if I do, I’m okay with anything except penetration.

I only like spanking as a reward when I’m big.

If I need discipline, big or little, I prefer ways that don’t involve any impact play.

I like impact play, but I don’t get off on being bad.

Needy or slutty, sure, but never bad. That’s just not my thing.

” Ellery lifted their head and gave me a smirk. “I’m a good princess after all.”

Their playfulness made me smile. I loved how easily they opened up to me. “Thank you for telling me, darling. I agree, I’d much rather give my good princess a spanking. But if my naughty baby needs discipline, I have plenty of methods that don’t involve any impact play.”

They relaxed against me and started rubbing their face into the crook of my neck. They were so damn adorable, I thought I was going to have a heart attack. “Thank you, Daddy.”

“You don’t ever have to thank me for respecting your limits. That’s a requirement, not a favor. Do you need anything specific when little?”

Ellery’s body tensed slightly, and I almost thought they weren’t going to speak.

After what felt like forever, they spoke.

“I’m pretty easy going. I don’t regress young enough to want diapers, but uh .

. . sometimes I struggle to really sink into my headspace.

I thought it was because I didn’t have a Daddy, but even when I tried playing with a caregiver, I still struggled.

Tristan helped me realize that sometimes I need verbal reminders to help me slip into or sometimes stay in my headspace. ”

I wasn’t quite sure what they meant by that.

I knew that some littles struggled to slip into their headspace and would use clothes and their littles’ items to help.

Every little was different, and if Ellery needed verbal reminders, I would be happy to provide them .

. . I just needed to know what that meant.

“Lots of littles need help slipping into or maintaining their headspace. There’s nothing wrong with that. How exactly can I help remind you?”

Ellery’s hands twisted nervously in my shirt as they spoke.

“I like being told I’m too small to worry about certain things or that it’s not my problem or place.

Some littles can completely shut off the big part of their brain, but sometimes it feels like big me is always there in the background, still worrying, still on standby.

Big me is stubborn and needs lots of reassurance that they aren’t needed in that moment.

I know I must sound crazy talking about myself like I’m two different people, but—”

My poor princess was nervous and rambling, so I cut them off. “Shh, princess. You’re okay. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that. I completely understand what you’re saying.” I leaned forward, letting my lips ghost the shell of their ear. “And as for crazy . . . I happen to like crazy.”

Ellery shivered and let out a low moan. “David.” They said my name dramatically, drawing each syllable out with a whiny tone.

“I’m just teasing, princess. I don’t think you’re crazy.”

I carefully moved us over to the empty side of the bed and sat down.

With them still in my lap, legs wrapped around my waist, I gently grabbed their chin and forced their gaze to mine.

“In fact, I think it sounds quite nice. I get to hold my princess just like this and tell them all about how small and adorable they are.” Ellery squirmed in my lap, their cheeks flushing an adorable shade of pink.

“Would you like help getting into the right headspace, princess?”

They tried to nod, but my grip was firm on their chin. “Yes, Daddy.”

Fuck I loved how that word sounded coming from them. “You’re so adorable, princess. You fit so perfectly in my lap like a tiny kitten. If you ever need a reminder that you’re my little princess and that Daddy always has you, climb up into my lap and feel how small and snug you are in my arms.”

Ellery’s face was flushed, and their eyes were slightly glassy. Their whole body radiated excitement. With every word that left my mouth, little Ellie came closer to the surface.

“I’m here, darling. You don’t have to think about a thing. All you have to worry about is putting on your pretties so Daddy can see how gorgeous and talented his baby is.”

Ellie wiggled in my lap with excitement. “Daddy . . . can I go put them on now, please?”

Unable to help myself, I kissed the tip of their nose. “Of course you can, princess. Thank you for being so polite. I’ll be in the living room, and my room will be your special dressing room.”

Ellie jumped off my lap and twirled around in excitement. “Yay! Dress-up time!”

“I’ll leave the door cracked, so just call out if you need me.”

Ellie’s smile was pure joy and warmed me to my core. “Okay, Daddy.”

After leaving the door slightly cracked, I made my way back into the living room. To give Ellie plenty of room to strut and twirl as they showed off their dresses, I pushed the coffee table against the wall.

Everyone I knew who wore dresses always complained about how difficult it was, but Ellie’s love for dresses must have found a way to overcome that, because just as I was sitting down, I heard Ellie’s footsteps behind me.

“Are you ready, Daddy?”

Ellie’s voice was soft and full of excitement. The way they called me “Daddy” held so much vulnerability and trust that it nearly blew me away. “I’m always ready to see my princess all dressed up for me. Let me see you, darling.”

The room was silent except for their footsteps as they walked around the couch until they were standing right in front of me. The second I saw them, I couldn’t take my eyes off them. I felt as if all the air had been knocked out of my lungs.

Ellie—or should I say Princess Ellie—was wearing a deep-purple dress.

The bodice was fitted to their torso, flaring into a puffy skirt that stopped just above the floor.

Their collarbone was visible and sparkling with what looked like a shimmery highlighter.

The neckline was low, and had long sleeves that hung off the shoulders.

My favorite part was the silver tiara that was perched atop their head.

They were absolutely breathtaking. “Damn, Princess. It’s amazing . . . You’re so incredibly talented and beautiful. Give me a spin.”

Ellie’s cheeks flushed as they curtsied. “Thank you, good sir.” They stepped back and twirled slowly, letting the skirt’s fabric lift and dance around them. Their giggles filled the room, making my small apartment feel more like a home than it ever had before.

Once they were done twirling, they made their way over to where I was sitting on the couch and plopped right down in my lap. “Well, hello there, little princess. Did you have fun showing off your dress?”

Their face was tucked into my chest, and I could still feel them trying to catch their breath. “Darling, look at me.”

Ellie slowly lifted their head, and when I saw their eyes, I knew. “Your medicine from earlier must have worn off, you don’t look like you feel well. Come on, princess, let’s go get you changed, and then you need more medicine and something to eat.”

Ellie tucked their head into my chest and whined. “But I wanna be a princess.”

“Shh, I know you do, darling, but you’re still sick and need plenty of rest. Did you bring any nightgowns with you? Princesses have comfy clothes, right?”

“I do. It’s the same as the other one, just a deeper purple like this.”

I placed a kiss on the top of their head and then gently grasped their chin, forcing their gaze to mine. “That’s perfect, princess. Can I help you change, or do you want to do it yourself?”

Ellie’s cheeks turned pink, and they tried to look away but quickly gave up. “I’d like your help, please.”

My chest puffed up with pride, and I kissed their lips softly as a reward for being such a good princess. Okay, and maybe because I couldn’t help it, their lips were very kissable. “You’re so fucking sweet, darling.”

Grabbing the back of their thighs, I made sure I had a tight grip before standing up off the couch with them still in my arms. They let out a surprised squeak and tightened their legs around my waist. “Come on, little princess.”
