Chapter 12
Jade
I arrive at The Whip’s End around six pm for a quick session before preparing my own room for Fylis.
Cracking my neck, I walk down the dim hall towards where I’m going, passing my own room on the way.
Dressed in my regular clothes, not to disguise myself, but to shed my domme persona.
Right now, I’m a client. I used to attend regular sessions before I was assigned my own room, but my mentor felt I had nothing further to work on.
Having my own niche and not expanding beyond that.
But today I need it. My feelings, my anxiety, were running rampant the past week.
Knocking on the large black door three times, I wait for approval to enter.
The lock snicks, and the door slowly opens to a room lit with red lighting.
Stepping inside, I remove my shoes, neatly tucking them against the wall with my bag.
Locating the plush black rug, I move towards the center, then sit on my knees, my palms neatly placed upon each thigh as I await a command.
Smoke billows from a dark corner as orange eyes illuminate his features.
He watches me for a moment before standing, the sound of his tail dragging slowly across the tile as he approaches.
Stepping into the dim lighting, his body takes form.
Wings tucked neatly behind his back, golden scales glisten, making light reflect and dance around the room.
A pointed claw gently tips my chin up towards his impressive height.
“It’s good to see you again, Jade.” His voice caresses me like a heavy blanket. I sigh in relief, my body giving in to the session.
“It’s good to see you as well, Master.”
He gets down on a thick knee before me, his hum of approval bounces off my skin, making it vibrate.
“I know you booked a session, but I can tell you’re here for another reason. Come, sit with me.” He gently hauls me up off the floor, taking my delicate hand in his, and guides us over to a large upholstered bench. His body far too large for a regular couch. “Tell me what troubles you.”
He gently strokes my hair as I gather my thoughts. It’s comforting, but I can’t help but picture someone else in his place.
“A client…” I start, and he freezes. A low growl fills the room.
“Did someone hurt you?” Smoke fills the space around us, and I can’t help but bat it away with a smirk. Drogo is very protective, but not in a romantic way.
“No, you grumpy dragon, listen!” I chide playfully, and he returns to stroking my hair. “I have feelings for a client.”
He sits quietly, waiting for more details this time.
“He is new and has a lot of things he’s working through, but I fear I’ve made it-” I struggle with the right word. What have I made this? Besides a problem.
“Personal?” Drogo fills in the blanks as if I’m a walking Mad Lib.
I nod, not wanting to say it aloud. He moves from his spot beside me, dragging a stool to sit in front of me now.
“Hmmm, that is a predicament. I’ve noticed you also unloaded some clients. Is this for the same reason?”
Is it? While I had one or two clients fall off my schedule, I did move a few over to another domme. I told myself she was better equipped to handle them, but in all honesty, they fell within my niche. Drogo nods as if he can hear my thoughts.
“Is he a client or a project?” His words sting, but he’s right.
Fylis is more of a project. His own struggles hit close to home.
I want to fix beyond all of this. The stool screeches across the floor as Drogo stands, pulling me up with him.
Walking me over to the large standing mirror, he places me in front of it, my reflection staring back at me.
His claws wrap carefully around my shoulders from behind me, his scaly maw against my ear.
“You are strong.” He whispers sternly, and my breath hitches and my chest burns.
“I am strong.” I turn towards his voice, tears pricking at my eyes.
Drogo’s hand moves my face back towards the mirror, forcing me to confront myself. “Tell yourself, not me.”
“I am strong.” A single tear hits the tile with a wet smack.
“Good, you are not broken.” Closing my eyes for a moment to stave off more tears, my lip quivers. “You are not broken.” He repeats again with more force.
“I am not broken.” Staring back at the woman before me, I shake off the past memories. I am no longer that girl. Wiping my hand across my eyes, I say it again, forcing myself to believe my words this time. “I am not broken.”
“Good girl. You make your own path.” His words ignite a fire in my belly.
“I make my own path.” Standing firm, my words come out with more bite this time. Drogo’s hands rub my arms as his warm breath tickles my neck.
“You know what you need, Jade. You know what your client needs. No one can make that decision but the two of you.” He gives my arms a gentle squeeze, then turns me, cupping my cheeks in his claws.
“As much as I would love to play with you, our session has come to an end.” Drogo’s eyes flash with a different heat.
Admittedly, there’s a tingle of want. I would absolutely fuck Drogo if my mind weren’t so wrapped up in a certain satyr.
I’ve heard about his situation downstairs, and to say I’m intrigued is an understatement.
He smirks as my eyes briefly glance downward for a hint of truth behind the rumors.
“The rumors are true.” He smirks before walking me over to my things. “You know where to find me, Jade.” His wings twitch as his eyes graze over my body. I return the smirk before slipping my shoes back on, tossing a wink over my shoulder as the door closes.
It’s time to get ready for my session with Fylis.
