24. Rosalie #2
“Yeah?” He smiled. “I’m proud of you, too.”
“Maybe we can play doctor the next time I get to see you.”
“Absolutely.” He looked up my bare legs, his eyes lingering on my chest before he locked eyes with me. “I’ll bring my stethoscope.”
“Enough,” Anson said, his voice low. “You never know if people bug this shit.”
Cole rolled his eyes. “Who gives a shit? So what if the world knows she’s mine too?”
“The world is likely not ready for that sort of relationship,” Anson said.
Cole scoffed. “Rosebud is a trendsetter. All she has to do is say she digs it, and people will be running to the altar with half a dozen partners. I guarantee it. In fact, she and Enzo should work together on making it a reality.”
“Curious as to why De Luca has such an interest in making it legal,” Anson mused.
“So he doesn’t have to skirt his woman off to some fucking snake and giant bug-infested island somewhere to prove he means forever. He can do it from somewhere nice, like The Plaza.”
Anson chuckled at that. “Is he entertaining the idea of a new harem?”
Cole glanced at me. “No.”
“Then I beg the question—”
“Ani. Enough,” I murmured. “Please.”
He snapped his mouth closed and reached for my hand. He pressed a kiss to our rings.
“I’m sorry, baby,” he said softly. “You’re right.”
I breathed out, and we sat in silence for a few moments before Cole’s phone buzzed. He’d turned it off all weekend and had only just turned it on in the SUV on the way over.
He stared down at the screen for a moment before shaking his head, sighing.
“Trouble in paradise?” Anson asked.
“Virelli’s men broke into a few of our places. Killed some of our men. Enzo wanted to know when I’d be back.”
I swallowed and looked down at my lap as Anson let out a grunt of discontent.
“I don’t like this, Cole,” I whispered. “You going back to that…”
“I’ll be fine. I’ve been doing this for almost a decade now. I know what I’m doing,” Cole said.
“You’re an idiot,” Anson muttered.
“What the fuck did you say to me?”
Luckily, their argument ended as the door opened and the doctor returned.
“We have the results,” she said, taking a seat on the stool. “Uh, do you want your security in here for this?”
“No,” Anson said immediately, smirking at Cole, who glared at him.
“He stays,” I said.
The doctor cast a quick look over at Cole and smiled before turning back to me.
“So you are definitely pregnant. We have you at four weeks and two days. Very early. That gives you a due date of….” She spun a little wheel.
“April fifth,” Cole said immediately.
The doctor looked at him in surprise. “Yes. April fifth. You’re good at this.”
Cole chuckled. “I finished my OBGYN rotation at Mercy in Chicago not long ago.”
“Oh, you’re a doctor?”
“Basically,” he replied.
“Oh goodness. Wait until I tell the girls at the front. They were fawning all over both you and Mr. Beyers here, but they knew he was taken by our mama-to-be. They’ll be delighted to know you’re both a doctor and a protector.”
Cole chuckled at that. “I do my best in both positions. And other… positions.”
Doctor Sims laughed, her face reddening as Cole winked at her.
Something about it bothered me. It took me a moment to realize I was jealous that other women were looking at him.
“Relax,” Anson murmured, kissing my knuckles as he brought my hand to his lips.
“Rosalie had serious issues with hypermesis gravidarum previously,” Cole continued. “The baby was… lost. I’d like something prescribed for her. Doxylamine along with B6.”
Doctor Sims nodded. “I can make that happen. How is the morning sickness so far?”
“It’s not terrible, but I’m pretty woozy most of the day,” I said as she gestured for me to sit back.
Anson got up and stood at my side. Cole moved to stand next to the doctor as she did her examination.
“Put your legs in the stirrups. We’ll do a quick once-over,” Doctor Sims said.
I did as instructed.
“Um, is this…” Doctor Sims looked from Cole to me as he stood next to her.
“He-He’s fine,” I said.
Anson grunted.
Cole knelt at Doctor Sims’ level. She told me she was going to do a quick exam, and I squeezed Anson’s hand tightly as she inserted the speculum.
I hated these things.
She did what she needed to do before removing the device. Cole straightened and winked at me before returning to his seat.
“Everything looks good. I’m thinking we’ll bring you back at nine weeks and do an ultrasound. If anything changes, please reach out to me. I’ll send the prescription off to your pharmacy.” She pulled her card out and handed it to Anson. “And congratulations on your baby!”
“Thank you,” I said as she bid us goodbye and left the room. I winced as Anson helped me to sit up. He quickly handed me my clothes, and I went to dress, but Cole moved behind me and cupped my breasts.
“Knowing you’re pregnant is really fucking turning me on,” he murmured in my ear. I could feel his erection against my ass.
“Cole,” Anson warned.
“What’s wrong, Beyers? Never fucked in a doctor’s office before?”
“Have you?” he challenged.
I didn’t even realize Cole had unzipped his pants.
He urged me forward so my hands were back on the table before pushing his cock inside me. I still had some of the lube from the speculum in me, so it was an easy insert for him.
“Yes,” Cole said breathlessly. “I fucking have now.”
“Fucking asshole.” Anson moved to stand in front of the door to block it in case anyone came in.
Cole railed into me from behind, his hand over my mouth as I moaned softly. He brought my back flush against his chest as he thrust deep into my pussy.
“Fuck, you feel like heaven,” he groaned, kissing and sucking at my neck. “Baby, god. This pussy is so fucking good.”
“Hurry up,” Anson urged.
Cole let out a dark chuckle before plowing hard into me, the sound of my muffled moans and slapping skin echoing around us.
He kept his hand over my mouth as I came, crying out against his palm.
“Oh, there’s my sweet Rosebud,” he husked out, snapping his hips forward. “Fuck. I want your ass.”
“Cole, you fucking dick,” Anson snarled. “Hurry up.”
“Oh fuck. Next time.” Cole let out a low groan, his cock twitching deep inside me. He finally slowed to a stop before kissing my neck and shoulder. “Mm, round two in the SUV.”
“I think the fuck not,” Anson snapped. “Put your dick away.”
Cole laughed softly before pulling away from me. He pushed his hand on the middle of my back, forcing me over the table. A moment later, I felt him cleaning me with tissues.
“Perfect. It’s like I was never here… except for the little bun I left behind.” Cole smiled at me as he cradled my face. A moment later, he had me dressed, and Anson pulled me away from him.
We left the room and went out the back door to where Ryder was waiting for us.
We got into the back, and Cole was quick to take the seat next to me as Anson grumbled and sat across from us.
“How was it?” Ryder asked.
“I fucked her in the examination room,” Cole said. “Oh, and our baby is due April fifth.”
“Congrats, guys,” Ryder said, smiling at us in the rearview mirror. “But fuck you, Scott.”
Cole gave him the finger.
Anson smiled. “Thanks, man. Now take this prick to the airport. He’s driving me nuts.”
Cole smirked at him. “What was it like watching me fuck her, knowing you couldn’t? Did it feel like old times?”
Anson shook his head. “You really are a fucking nightmare.”
“Your nightmare now, Ass Hat. Thanks for getting me off that night. Without you, I might not be ahead with babies. Two-oh, bitch. How does that feel? You’ve been with her for five years, and I come back, and five minutes later, I planted my seed again. That’s gotta suck.”
“We don’t know it’s yours,” Anson said, not bothering to get snappy. “It could be mine.”
“Could be. Likely isn’t. I have a track record of getting the job done.”
“Cole, stop,” I said. “Please?”
He immediately went quiet, his hand holding mine tightly.
I stared at Anson, and he smiled at me, with no sign on his face that Cole upset him.
“Mine,” he mouthed to me.
I smirked and mouthed back.
“Yours.”
And that was all it took to change the mood in the car.
