Chapter Fourteen
E vren kissed the soft patch on her neck and rubbed his cheek bristles against the sensitive skin.
Running his nose up the column of her throat, he breathed her in before claiming her lips.
Stars exploded behind her closed eyes, lighting up the darkness.
Just like the other kisses he’d given her, they exploded through her world.
“Tell me you want this, Lowen,” he murmured against her lips.
Her chest rose up and down, her mind blanketed with need. Never had she ever felt this with Scias. Not even close.
“I want this,” she said softly, body leaning into his. “I want you.”
His eyes glittered as he resumed kissing her all over, nipping and licking all the way down, until he fell to his knees in front of her.
Sliding his hands up her thighs, she didn’t have a moment to feel embarrassed about being in front of him naked, because his fingers slid through the curls that protected her most intimate part.
“You’re already slick for me,” he said. Her hips bucked as his exploratory fingers touched her slit. A moment later he brought his finger to his mouth and tasted her. “Sweet like honey.”
He brought her leg up, rested it over his shoulder, and buried his face in her pussy.
Licking his way up and down, over and over, until she thought she would go out of her mind.
When he found that bundle of nerves he’d touched earlier, and sucked it into the hot vortex of his mouth, she cried out.
White-hot fire roared through her body and caused her to beg for more even though she wasn’t quite sure what she was begging for.
Pleasure so sharp it cut through her like a knife.
Higher and higher the coil wound until she soared high on a kaleidoscope of ecstasy.
Every cell in her body melted into a pile of blissful goo.
Heart thundering so hard she heard it in her ears.
So, this is what an orgasm feels like , she thought.
Now she knew what all the fuss was about. No wonder people loved having sex.
When her knees quivered and started to give way, she fell back onto the bed with her legs spread wide.
He stood, using her towel to wipe his face, and shucked his underwear.
As he stood naked, she finally saw every part of him, and marveled at how beautiful he was.
Bronzed muscles. A spattering of hair dusted his chest. He had a tattoo on his right pectoral muscle.
A red snakelike dragon with a crescent moon and sun on either side of the creature, mimicking a ying-yang symbol. It was a beautiful design.
“If I join you on this bed, Lowen, there’s no turning back.”
Her rapid breathing was making her a little dizzy. “I know.”
Evren stared at her for a long moment, and then he knelt on the bed and knee-walked toward her.
“Scoot upward,” he ordered.
She obeyed.
“Open your thighs.”
Once more, she did as he commanded.
He came to rest between her splayed legs, and he laid his hands on her skin. Slowly, he ran them upward, until they reached the apex. His gaze flickered up to her, and she stared back, waiting. Anticipating.
“This pussy is mine now,” he told her.
She nodded.
“Words, Lowen. This pussy is mine, right?”
“Yes,” she breathed.
“Good girl.” Bending low, he placed a kiss on her inner thigh, while his thumbs opened her labia folds. “I’m going to worship this pretty pussy every chance I can.”
Immediately acting on his promise, he gave a long lick up her slit.
Her eyes rolled back as pleasure engulfed her body, arching her back as his tongue swept into her channel.
She had this need to move, to thrust her hips up, seeking more.
She cried out when he sucked her clit into his mouth, arching her back.
With hooded eyes, he watched her, which made it all the more erotic.
Consuming her in a vortex of desperate need.
Although he was on top, she didn’t feel dominated.
Instead, he stared at her like she was a goddess come to life, worshiping at her altar.
Lowen curled her fingers into his hair as she began to thrust against his face.
Chasing the raw pleasure her body craved.
Building up and up, the coil tightening until it was too much.
Wanting. Hungering. Far too tight until it finally recoiled, flinging her into the heavens.
She screamed his name as her orgasm swept over her.
Every cell in her body floated on a delicious, euphoric high.
While still in that silken haze, Evren moved up until his bottom half lay on her, using his forearms to prop himself up.
For a long moment, they stared at one another.
He bent and gave her a long, sensual kiss.
Wondering why it was sexy to taste herself upon his tongue.
Then, he moved his hips so his cock rubbed along her pussy.
Searching, probing, hard steel encased in hot silk.
She remembered this, the pain that had engulfed her when Scias forced himself into her body.
When he threw her onto their marriage bed, not even bothering to get lube as he just forced his disgusting dick into her body.
She’d bled for days after, but he didn’t care.
Night after night he raped her, grunting as he used her for his unwanted lust.
“Try to relax your muscles,” he murmured.
“I’m scared.”
“You’re doing so good, baby. Take a deep breath in. Let it out slowly.”
She did as he asked, and every time she released her breath, he sank inside her a little more. Over and over, he did this with her, talking through her fear until he was all the way into her body.
He smiled down at her and gave her a lingering kiss. Giving her time to adjust to being filled and stretched. This was completely different from her other first time, and she was grateful he allowed her to go at her own pace.
Staring up into his eyes, she felt herself falling.
Tumbling heart first into the realization that she loved him.
Maybe she’d been in love with him from the moment he offered to save her, years earlier, at her own engagement party.
Maybe it had been hero worship that turned into real emotions.
Regardless of when or where, it terrified the hell out of her.
Scias could only hurt her body. Evren had the power to destroy her heart.
“Take a deep breath,” Evren murmured. “The burn will fade soon.”
“It’s already eased up,” she said, smiling at him.
He kissed the tip of her nose. “Are you sure you’re ready?”
“Yes,” she breathed.
Evren pulled out, only to push back in again. Taking his time, watching her. Her heart overflowed with emotion, moved by how he took his time. How he made sure not to hurt her. Giving her pleasure before taking his own.
“You feel like heaven,” he said as he surged forward a little more forcefully. The momentum strong enough to make her breasts jiggle.
Although he watched her carefully, there was nothing soft about his possession.
Her heart pounded so hard she wondered why he didn’t hear it.
Pulling out partway only to push into her again, harder.
In and out he thrust, using long, hard strokes.
She couldn’t take her eyes off him, enthralled by the savage pleasure streaking over his face.
“I’m close,” he muttered. “Holy fuck. You’re gonna make me come.”
She wanted him to. Wanted to give him as much pleasure as he had given her.
She ran her hands over his ass, as he pounded into her, and dug her nails into his skin.
He made a guttural groan and then buried himself deep into her body, holding still as his orgasm crashed over him.
His hips pumped a few more times before he finally fell still and collapsed half on top of her.
She pulled him close and hugged him, felt his rapid breath against her neck.
Knowing that everything in her world had just shifted completely off its axis.

E arly morning light tried to sneak past the drawn curtains, and some of it managed to find a small crack to slither through.
It was enough to give the room a modicum of illumination, as Lowen laid with her head on Evren’s chest. She’d tried to sleep, but she wasn’t used to being in bed with another person.
Anytime Scias “visited” her, he promptly left right after his violation.
“Morning,” Evren rasped, his voice hoarse and pitched low.
She leaned her head back to smile up at him. “Good morning.”
He stretched, making sure she stayed put with his hand on her back. “Did you sleep well?”
“No,” she replied honestly.
“What’s wrong?” he asked, concerned.
“Nothing. Just ... thinking.” She touched his tattoo. “What does this mean?”
“ Evren is a dragon in Turkish mythology,” he said. “I don’t know if my mother knew that, or where she even heard the name, but I thought it made me cool when I was a kid.”
She smiled. “Lowen was my paternal grandmother’s name. My dad insisted.”
“It’s pretty.” He kissed the top of her head. “You rocked my world last night, Miss Hayes. I hope I didn’t hurt you too much.”
“It was perfect,” she replied softly. “I never knew sex could feel good for a woman.”
“Not even masturbation?”
“I never did that. I was ... ashamed.”
“For what?”
She took a moment to collect her memories.
“One time my father found a maid and a gardener having sex in the pantry. Apparently, this maid was my father’s favorite toy, and I had to watch him beat her with a belt.
The lesson being a woman’s body wasn’t her own, and I took that to heart. I was eleven.”
“Shit,” he muttered.
“Lots of so-called lessons,” she continued. “The first man who ever beat me, was him. Part of it was that he blamed me for being born a girl, when he wanted a son.”
“He could’ve remarried.”
“Yes, he could have.” Lowen shook her head, searching for the emotions of guilt or sorrow for her father, and found nothing but apathy. “I should feel bad that he’ll be the one paying for my defection, but I can’t seem to summon one iota of remorse. Does that make me a bad person?”
“It makes you one of us,” he said. “And I’ll protect you with everything I have.”
They lay in each other’s arms for a few more minutes, then her bladder wouldn’t let her lie still anymore.
Extracting herself from his warm embrace, she grabbed her clothes and then entered the bathroom.
After emptying her bladder, she jumped in the shower and quickly washed.
After drying, she dressed, ran a comb through her hair, and brushed her teeth.
By the time she stepped back into the room, her stomach growled.
Evren walked over to her, wearing his boxer briefs, and gave her a quick kiss. “I’ll only be a few minutes. Then we’ll pack up and get breakfast.”
“Okay.”
While he showered, she grabbed the duffle bag she’d bought at Wal-Mart and started removing tags.
She folded everything up and packed it neatly away.
Everything she’d bought last night was all stuff she felt comfortable to wear.
Jeans, t-shirts, tennis shoes. Everything Scias forbade her to wear.
He told her she was a reflection on him, so she had to play the part.
Every time she dressed in the clothes he’d picked for her, she hated her life a little more.
Lost in unpleasant memories, it startled her a bit when Evren’s arms came around her.
“Are you okay?” he murmured as he rested his chin on her head.
“Yes,” she replied. “Just ruminating.”
He placed his hands on her shoulders and turned her around. “They can’t hurt you now, and I won’t let him hurt you.”
“I know,” she said trustingly. She remembered his promise to make sure Scias never hurt her again, but it didn’t seem enough. Something in the back of her mind told her she needed more. “Do you think you could show me some basic self-defense moves?”
One of his eyebrows went up. “Yeah. That’ll be no problem. We’ll have lots of time once we reach Blackmeadow.”
She smiled, stood up on tiptoe, and kissed his cheek. “Thank you. I want to be prepared, you know. In case Scias manages to find me.”
“Anytime,” he said.
