Real Talk Sports with Darius & Todd
“I spoke to a few top players who wanna remain anonymous, Todd, and I’m telling you, many of ’em aren’t feeling Cade and Jones.”
“Like who?”
Darius fidgets in his chair. “I just told you they wanna remain anonymous.”
“That’s lame. They should go on record if they have a problem,” Todd says, stabbing the table with his finger.
“I think they are. They’re talking to their management.”
“About what?”
“It’s a family sport. Parents don’t want their kids exposed to that sorta thing.
” Darius shrugs. “Shake your head, but you know I’m right.
This is the league that bears the legacy of Mo “Hammer” Bradley and Sniper Hedley, real men, who’d be turning over in their graves if they knew players like Cade and Jones were in the league. ”
Todd shakes his head. “The times have changed. This isn’t your grandfather’s league anymore. And some might say that’s a good thing.”
“Who?” Darius scoffs, twisting in his chair and scanning the room for effect. “The league’s gotten soft. This is the beginning of the end. I won’t be surprised if we start seeing viewership decline over the next few seasons.” The camera zooms in on him. “Mark my words.”
