Epilogue

Samael

“Don’t you dare touch me, Malachi. I have places to be, and so do you!” Greer comes out of Remi’s—or should I say her—walk-in closet looking beautiful in a form-fitting green dress that’s sexy yet modest at the same time.

In the five years since Greer has come to us, she’s blended perfectly into Elysian Pines and our lives. She has her own room, but we all spend most of our time in Remi’s suite or mine. She’s taken over both his closet and part of mine, and that’s after filling up the one in her room.

What can I say? While Greer has been imbued with our grace and has become one of Colorado’s top philanthropists, the woman loves clothes and looking good. Not that the three of us aren’t any different. There’s always something nice about dressing your best, regardless of who or what you are.

“Oh, come on, Princess,” Kai whines as he comes out of the closet as well. He, however, is not wearing clothes. He’s completely naked, and his hair is wet from a shower. “I was meeting our new guest at the bar when you got hot and dirty with Remi and Sam.”

Kai’s lower lip juts into a pout, and Greer turns around, hands on her round hips.

She may no longer be a Scrooge, far from it, but she’s still a smart-mouthed beauty with an attitude to boot.

We all love it, though, especially me. It’s been nice not being the only “broody” or “grumpy” one of the bunch.

Remi and Kai balance us out with their sunshine and optimism.

“I wasn’t planning on getting frisky with them—it just happened,” Greer says.

I half smile from my seat in a chair near the fireplace.

While Greer finished getting ready for tonight’s banquet—thrown by Elysian Ventures, a company she built with our help, that honors and gives funds to businesses and startups that are making a difference in Colorado—I picked up the newest romance she’s been reading in the Omegaverse genre, something that’s new to me.

I like it so far, though—it’s already giving me plenty of new ideas for the four of us to try.

This particular book is called Lights, Camera, Knot, and it’s about a pack and an actress Omega who goes into heat on the set of the movie they’re filming.

I’ve already begun to imagine what a knot on a cock would look like and how I can use my powers to create one for me, Remi, and Kai.

Apparently, the knot is above the balls and swells to lock into place in an Omega’s body.

Interesting. I may need time to experiment with it.

I’m sure Kai would be a willing participant before we surprise Greer with it at a later date.

“‘Getting frisky’?” Kai laughs at Greer’s choice of words. “What are you, eighty?”

“Are you making an age joke, old man?”

He chuckles and tries to snatch her again, but she moves away from his grasp just as Remi walks into the room.

The three of us all stop and stare at him when he enters. His aura is glowing gold, and the suit he wears is stunning on him. It’s a green velvet that matches the color of Greer’s dress and brings out his eyes.

“Damn, Daddy, you look sexy as hell.” Kai whistles.

“Yeah, you do,” Greer says, eyes checking him out from top to bottom.

“I have to agree,” I add.

If Remi was the type to blush, I think he would be. But he glows under the attention, his lips turning up into a smile as he places his hands in his pockets and surveys Greer’s dress.

“Thank you. I have to say, love—this dress is to die for.” He holds out his hand, and she takes it. He twirls her around so we all get a three-sixty view, making my dick hard.

You’d think after having her mouth only an hour ago, I’d be sated, but I’m not.

While the voracious hunger we felt the moment Greer came into our lives doesn’t feel as wild as it did five years ago, it’s still there—not in a bad or annoying way, but it makes us insatiable for each other.

Case in point: Kai trying to get a hold of Greer.

I’d help him earn what he wants if we didn’t have somewhere important to be.

He places his hands on her hips while she’s distracted by Remi, who’s looking down at her like she’s the sun to our earth. It’s a fitting description. Every day she’s in our lives, the sunnier mine becomes. I think Remi and Kai would say the same.

Before her, we were spinning around, doing what we always do: guarding the town, helping those in need, and spending our nights with each other. It was a good life, and I thought it would be the same for hundreds of years to come.

That was until Greer arrived and showed all three of us what we were missing. She showed me that I didn’t always have to live in the future and simply go through the motions—that things could change. Just as she has.

Greer swats Kai’s hands away and dips out from between the towering Nephilim before she points at Kai with narrowed eyes. Remi looks amused at whatever is happening while Kai pouts again.

“No,” she scolds. “No touching. And for the love of everything, put some clothes on.”

Remi stares over at me, and I stand, putting my book down on the chair. As I walk to them, I show him mind-to-mind what he missed before he walked in. He shakes his head and snaps his fingers, dressing Kai in an instant.

“Hey!” Kai cries.

“Thank you, Remi.” Greer smirks smugly.

“I could have dressed myself.”

“Apparently, you couldn’t,” I interject. “Plus, bad boys don’t get to make decisions for themselves—isn’t that right, Daddy?” I grin slyly at Remi, and he smiles back, eyes simmering as he looks at Kai.

“That is very right, Samael.”

Kai huffs, but it’s clear to all of us by the way his eyes are sparkling that he’s not annoyed. There’s also the fact that his cock is as hard as a rock, tenting the black dress pants Remi put on him.

“I still think it’s unfair that the two of you”—he points at us—“had your fun, but I was left out.”

“Oh, poor baby.” Greer gets up on her toes and pats his head, his hair now dry and styled from Remi’s grace. “It’s not like you were balls deep in me last night or anything.”

Remi snorts, and I smile along with him. The mouth on this woman is something else. Not that we’re any better.

“That was last night; this is now,” Kai argues.

“Oh, he’s being really bad, isn’t he?” Greer asks, gaze bouncing between me and Remi.

“He is,” I say. “I guess that means tonight he has to watch.”

“No! Unfair.”

“So whiny.” Greer laughs.

“Okay, fine, I’ll be good.” He holds his hands up for good measure.

“I think we’re past that, Malachi,” Remi taunts, his tone husky and deep. The timbre of it sends a wave of arousal through the room, the air tightening.

“I think so, too,” I agree. “But I think Greer should be the one to decide how our bad boy gets punished.”

“Hmm, I think you’re right,” Remi agrees.

Greer steps forward and grabs Kai’s chin.

Her shoulders are back, and I think all of us feel the dominance now pouring out of her.

In moments like these, where Greer’s “Mistress” comes out to play, she feels like the woman we originally met, our little Scrooge.

None of the “Bah! Humbug!” part but all the confidence.

“I think you need a lesson tonight, Angel Boy.”

Kai’s lip twitches as he tries not to smile. “If it pleases you, Greer.”

We know Kai means business when he calls her by her name instead of Princess.

“It would. Now, promise me you’ll be good and listen from now on.”

Kai swallows as she strokes his facial hair. “I promise I’ll be good and listen from now on.”

She tugs on his beard a bit. “And you’ll take your lesson, whatever that may be, like a good Angel Boy?”

“I will.”

She nods and drops her hand. “If you follow through, I’ll make my own promise.” She glances at me and Remi before she looks back at him. “I promise I’ll do that thing you like.”

Kai swallows a moan, flashing an image of “that thing”—aka him getting pegged by her while Remi fucks her and I fuck Kai’s mouth—over our telepathic connection.

It doesn’t surprise me that his ass is bright red in that image, most likely from the last time we did that, when Remi spanked him till he was near weeping—hard for a Nephilim to achieve.

None of us have to ask Kai if he’ll listen and take his punishment later. He wants that image to come to fruition, and the rest of us do, too.

The sound of “Hark! The Herald Angels Sing” breaks up the sexual tension, and Greer snaps her gaze to the three of us.

“Where is that coming from?” she demands.

“Your purse,” Remi says, trying to hide a laugh.

While Greer is no longer what you’d call a Scrooge—she even likes Christmas now—she’s still not a huge fan of carols. She struts over to where her clutch is on the dresser and picks up her phone.

She immediately glares at Kai once the phone’s in her hand. “Who changed my alarm tone to this?”

“I didn’t do it, I swear.”

She clicks it off and faces Remi, but he shakes his head. “It wasn’t me, love.”

Her gaze, along with the other’s, finds me, and I purse my lips.

Kai laughs. “You didn’t.”

“I did,” I reply.

Greer cocks her hip and her eyebrow, stepping in front of me and holding up her phone. “You thought that was funny?”

“A little.”

Kai and Remi are struggling to hold their laughter in. I’m not normally the one to play practical jokes, but it’s three days before Christmas and our five-year anniversary with Greer. Moreover, we have a new Scrooge-like person in our town tonight that we’re going to help, Greer included.

Over the years, not only did she leave Northlight Capital and build a company that cares about people and businesses, but she’s also become someone who befriends those in need or offers an ear when they arrive in Elysian Pines.

She added something to our dynamic that we didn’t have before: humanity, someone who could relate to them and what they were going through.

I thought adding the carol to her phone as an alarm would be a silly prank to show her how far she’s come and remind her of where she started. It’s also fun to see her reaction.

The alarm plays again, and she stares at her phone. I set up a few to make sure we weren’t late for tonight. I had a feeling Kai would try to get in her pants because he felt left out. If he’d ended up succeeding, it would have kept us from being late. This worked out better than I hoped.

She turns it off again and taps her foot. “I see what this is.”

I cock a brow at her.

“Trying to get the Scrooge to come out and play for old times’ sake?”

I lick my lips and shrug. “Only the part that you’ll unleash on Kai.”

She chuckles darkly, the sounds zipping up my spine and making my dick twitch.

Greer leans up on her toes and puts her mouth to my ear.

“Not only on Kai.” She bites my earlobe and walks away before I can react.

Grabbing her coat, she winks at Remi before striding to the door.

The back of her dress is open, giving us a view of the near-iridescent angel wings across her shoulders that mark her with our grace, a gift that’s linked her to us and Elysian Pines for as long as we exist here.

She stops and looks over her shoulder. “Well, are you three coming? I love you all, but I’m going to be mad if we’re late. I told Avery and Josh we’d have drinks with them beforehand. She said she has news. I think she’s pregnant again.”

Greer glows at the idea, and my heart rate picks up at her excitement.

Five years ago, this version of her was buried deep in a heart of ice.

Now, she shines and flourishes, she’s happy and carefree.

We still don’t have the answers to everything, but the future has proven that it is ever changing and unpredictable.

What we do know is that Greer’s built a thriving business she runs from here—though she tells her family it’s based in Garland, since Elysian Pines isn’t exactly on the map—and she makes frequent trips to see them.

She’s mended old relationships and even hired Tim as a manager.

She and her parents have a good relationship now, and I can’t forget one of the most important things: We all have each other.

Her friends and family have welcomed the three of us with open arms. As for the day people start noticing we don’t age normally… well, we’ll figure that out when the time comes.

For now, the four of us enjoy life. We spend every night together huddled warm and close, and we’ll do that every night until there are no more nights, showing our love in every way possible.

“We’re coming,” I say.

“Isn’t that my line?” Kai jokes.

Remi whacks him gently on the back of the head before taking his hand. Greer laughs and takes mine. The four of us walk out of the room and from the inn, ready to see where tonight takes us, ready to face the future with no fear.
