Chapter 7 Shocking Secretary Reveal

I felt satisfied inside. After entering, I called and asked the other party to bring me a cup of coffee.

"Okay, Lin Zhiyue."

A slightly low bubbly voice.

Deduct points.

Not professional enough, too sticky.

I prepared to criticize him when he brought in the coffee, to make him understand that the company was a place for work, and he needed to act professional. Even if setting up a persona, it had to be a professional one.

Soon, there was a knock on the door. I said "come in" in a calm and capable voice.

When the other party entered and placed the coffee on my desk, I didn't even look up.

After following Gu Zhaoyu for so many years, I had a firm grasp on authority.

I glanced sideways and saw a pair of clean, slender fingers. The nails were neatly trimmed, the joints distinct, warm and strong.

Impression score plus one.

I had a set of words on the tip of my tongue, about to blurt them out. I raised my eyes and met a pair of familiar eyes.

Gu Zhaoyu!!!

He smiled warmly, his brows and eyes full of teasing, with an expression like "I see how you'll make this up."

The words in my stomach got stuck in my throat.

My thoughts spun wildly, but I kept a straight face.

Gu Zhaoyu laughed. "Lin Zhiyue, why don't you take a sip of coffee to calm down first?"

I picked up the coffee and took a sip.

The coffee was so bitter, but not as bitter as my heart.

"You, why are you here?"

"I'm here to be a Secretary. Lin Zhiyue was my Secretary for so many years, so I'll be yours for a few years. It's courtesy, a traditional Chinese virtue."

"You know everything?"

"Heh! I don't know much. Why don't you tell me?"

My throat felt dry. I begged heaven, someone please save me.

Just as I thought that, the door knocked.

I immediately said, "Come in."

HR came to find me to sign documents. Recently, we recruited a batch of new employees, arriving one after another. Some procedures needed my signature.

I saw Gu Zhaoyu's name in there.

My mood became complicated. HR, you're really not doing human things.

I wanted to cross out Gu Zhaoyu's name.

Gu Zhaoyu coughed.

I quickly signed it neatly.

"Gu Zhaoyu, do you really want to stay here? What about your own company?"

"My company is already mature. If I leave for a while, nothing major will happen. Besides, if a company can't operate without the boss, your company should have closed long ago."

He was mocking me.

He was still so sharp-tongued.

I prepared to say something.

He didn't give me a chance to speak.

"Lin Zhiyue, I'll go out to work first. Call me if you need anything."

He really went out and seriously did his work.

I watched him carefully through the glass.

He had changed his hairstyle to a simple and refreshing men's style. His clothes leaned toward youthful, less of the president's authority, more casual and free-spirited. No wonder he seemed familiar, but I didn't recognize him.

Damn it!

I should have recognized him even if he turned to ashes.

What should I do now?

It's easy to invite a god, hard to send one away. Probably more trouble ahead.
