Chapter 12
Two Months Later . . .
There was a short time in my life where I thought love was just a word. Something that people were programmed to say with no emotion or action behind it. When I met Victor Benson, he further confirmed what I always thought. He said he loved me, but his actions didn’t show it.
I was used as his porn star, maid, and to show off to his friends and family. I never felt as if I were put first in anything, and when I found out about his infidelity, I knew our time was up. I allowed that man to lie and gaslight me for two years, until I got fed up and left him.
I didn’t completely write men off though.
I still kept hope alive that there was someone out there that was going to put some action behind the word and stand on big business about me.
And I did.
Avery was all that and so much more.
I didn’t think I’d ever meet my person—well, not after five months of being alone, but meeting him proved that love did have meaning and action.
Not only did he come into my life and immediately change things, but the way he showed up and out for me had me swooning every day I woke up, and thinking of ways to surprise him with the things he loved and wanted to do.
The random gifts at my front door, text messages that put a smile on my face every morning, or random dates around the city made me feel as if I was living in a fairy tale.
A dream I never wanted to wake up from. The sexy, seductive, introverted king was addicted to me, and vice versa.
I couldn’t get enough of fucking him whenever we had an opportunity to do so.
We had finally met each other’s parents, and it was funny that both our moms’ names was Evelyn, and our fathers used to be old high school friends.
Needless to say, but my parents loved Avery. I think it was because he kind of acted like me. While he appeared mean and would go off quickly, I kept calm until I was provoked.
There were levels to this Sagittarius thing.
Currently, I was riding shotgun, in his new Maybach, to an unknown place. The blindfold was making my lashes itch, but I didn’t complain. The soft sounds of Maxwell played on the radio while Avery sang to me.
“. . . I feel you from the floor to the ceiling. Girl, I feel you when you comb ya haaair!”
I laughed. “Oh, really? Is that how I make you feel?”
“Always. You’re my baaad habit, babyyy.” We both laughed as he kissed my hand.
“Where are we going?”
“You’ll see.”
“I kind of think I know already.”
“If you know, then ya homegirl must have said something.”
“Wait. Jen knows?”
“Oh, damn. I wasn’t supposed to say that. Nah, she doesn’t know.” He started laughing.
I reached my hand out and mushed him. “Stop playing!”
“Chill, mama. You’ll know soon enough.”
We rode for about fifteen more minutes before we stopped.
Avery got out and opened the door for me, guiding me to an unknown place.
We then stopped, and he pulled the blindfold from my eyes while they adjusted to the sunlight.
I looked ahead and saw an airplane sitting in the middle of a field, while two men stood nearby, seemingly waited for us. My mouth fell open.
“Really?” I asked him.
“You said skydiving was on your bucket list of things to do. So, let’s do it.”
“But you’re afraid of heights.”
“I said I don’t like heights. I never said I was afraid.”
I got excited. “So you’re going to jump with me?”
“I am. I’d like to look at it as us jumping into a lifetime of happiness, love, fidelity, and fire ass sex.” I laughed as I wrapped my arms around his neck and kissed him deeply.
I pulled away, staring into his eyes.
“You sure you want a lifetime with me?”
“A lifetime and a day after that.”
I blushed and smiled. “Let’s go!” He took my hand and led me to the airplane.
The instructors greeted us and ran down the do’s and don’ts, suited us up, then led us on the plane.
Once we took off and started to ascend, I looked over at Avery and could tell he was a little nervous.
I took his hand and gave it a few squeezes and smiled, assuring him that everything was okay.
He kissed my hand, then the instructors strapped us with the parachute.
Feeling Avery’s dick pressing into my ass from behind, I rolled my hips a little as he bit my neck.
“Stop starting shit, Ms. Grant. With your freaky ass.” We laughed.
The instructor lifted the door, and a gust of air surrounded us. Butterflies danced in my belly from excitement.
“Alright, whenever you guys are ready, just go for it. Remember to count to thirty, then pull the lever to dispense the parachute. Allen here will be right behind you guys, just in case you have any difficulties.”
Avery huffed. “Is it too late to renege? Baby, I’ll just watch you do your thing.”
I turned my head to look at him with a smirk on my face. “Changed your mind about having a lifetime with me already?”
“Hell nah. We’re doing this. Al, you got our backs, right?” he asked the instructor.
“Absolutely!” he exclaimed.
Avery dapped him. “My G. A’ight, let’s do this!”
“Alright, on the count or three?” I asked Avery.
“On our three babies, baby.”
I laughed. “One baby, two babies . . . three babies!” I squealed, spread my arms, and fell forward. The exhilaration coursing through me felt euphoric.
Growing up, I’d always had an imagination, dreaming of all the things I’d always wanted to accomplish in life.
Complete college. I did that. Get a degree in my career of choice. I earned that. Being with a man who spoiled and cared deeply about me . . . Yeah, I earned that too.
Walking into Aromatique Designz was the start of me starting my new life.
No, I didn’t think I’d fall for the corporate boss or that he’d fall for me, but it happened, and I wouldn’t have changed our meeting for anything in the world.
I was a firm believer in things happening for a reason.
I just hoped with time, our relationship would get better and stronger than ever.
Maybe it was love. Maybe it was lust.
Whatever it was, I fell for a seducing Sagittarius, . . . and I loved it.
The End.
