Chapter 14

LEAH

I thought the rumble from Seer’s Harley was sexy, but this car? It’s a fucking dream. My thighs are still shaking from the orgasm from the office, and the feel of Kai’s leather seats has me thinking of the way the man’s eyes had hooded at the sight of his friend licking my core.

Then that kiss!

“You alright, Baby?” I clear my throat and sit up straighter in my seat.

“Um, yeah. Perfect,” Seer glances at me before returning his eyes to the road.

“Flashback?” His tone is teasing, but my cheeks still blush from the heat that is crossing through my body.

“Gods, yes.” He chuckles as I fan my face.

“We should talk while we drink our coffee. I need to know where you’re at with all this.” He lifts his hand off my thigh, and I miss it instantly.

He points between us and then makes a circle to envision his words before returning his hand to its previous position.

“Sure, talking I’m good at.” I smile to hide my relief that he’s still touching me.

He parks the car in the campus lot and points to the mobile coffee stand. Phoebe is in a short black dress and knee-high combat boots. Her hair is in space buns, and a chain runs from her left ear to her nose ring.

“Doesn’t she get hot?” I tilt my head at the way the glittery fishnet stockings bring attention to her thighs and gasp when my mind wonders how the fabric would feel against my cheeks.

“Baby, those noises and that look are a dangerous combo. Unless you want me to fuck you in this car which I’m not opposed to, then I need you to think pure thoughts while in public.” My mouth pops open at that last statement.

“Pure?” I raise an eyebrow in challenge.

“Okay, fair. How about less sexual?” I snort.

“Wrong crowd,” I open my door and leave him in the car, watching me with a stunted look on his face.

I close the door and lean down to look at him through the open window.

“I didn’t work so hard for a degree in human sexuality thinking pure thoughts, Fabien. I was a virgin, not a nun.” I wink and turn to walk up the slight hill to where Phoebe is pouring coffees like her life depends on it.

“Hey Baby,” She smiles at me, and I stumble.

“Pour us two larges,” Seer says as he passes me and kisses her in front of the whole quad.

Good job, Leah. Why would she be addressing you like that?

My inner voice stops berating me when my phone rings, making me frown when I see a Pennsylvanian number.

“Hello?” I wait for a response, but no one talks before the call disconnects.

“Weird,” I frown at the screen until a coffee cup is placed in my line of sight.

“Thanks,” I smile up at Seer and take the caffeine I desperately need.

“Hope you like pumpkin spice. She just added it to the menu.” I grin at his words.

Unlike others who despise the flavor, I love it.

“So yummy,” I take a slow slip and close my eyes in pure delight.

It’s hot, spicy, and has just the right amount of sweetness. It’s a cup full of autumn joy, and I savor it on my tongue before swallowing.

“Well, fuck. I’ll have whatever you just gave her.” I open my eyes in shock to find the line at the coffee cart all staring at me.

“Good choice. This is like an orgasm in a cup.” They all chuckle at me.

“Interesting,” Seer says, taking a sip of his own.

“It’s good, but I’ve tasted better. I’m sure Kai would agree with me.” I choke on the sip I’m taking, and he gently rubs my back.

“Careful, Baby.” I narrow my eyes at him.

“You said that on purpose!” I cough as he smiles behind the coffee cup.

“Can’t choke you with my cock in public, so I gotta use my words.” What the hell?

“Why would you want to do that?” He laughs harder at my expression, I’m sure.

“When your girl compares her coffee to an orgasm, it could lead a man to think he’s not trying hard enough.” I raise an eyebrow.

“You don’t seem the type to have those insecurities, “ he shrugs and gently takes my hand.

“I never said that man was me.” I roll my eyes and take another sip.

“Mmm, this really is mouth-watering.” He groans loudly.

“Let’s get you back home so I can regain my manhood.” I giggle as we wave goodbye to Phoebe.

I’m not sure if it’s my active imagination, but I think I saw her wink at me.

“Is she ok with this?” Seer takes my cup and places both in one hand to lift the door for me.

He crouches close to the ground after I sit and points over his shoulder at where we left Phoebe with a crowd of customers.

“There isn’t any room for jealousy or mistrust in a polyamorous relationship. Phoebe is still very much mourning Sam. She would never begrudge Kai or me our feelings for you. That being said, she is perfectly aware of my stance. I don’t bring anyone home I’m not serious about. It was our number one rule when we formed our family.” I watch Phoebe as he explains all this to me, and she must know we’re talking about her because she’s making her way down the hill before he finishes talking.

“Y’all alright?” The little gothic pixie stands hands on hip behind Seer.

“Go back to work so we can talk about you properly.” He stands and turns to his partner.

“Make me,” she sticks his tongue out at her.

“Brat,” he tries to grab her, but she jumps and runs around the car.

“Leah is worried about stepping on your toes as the woman of the house.” I widen my eyes at him.

“That’s not remotely what I said.” I turn to Phoebe, who’s leaning in the driver’s side window now.

“Why don’t we have dinner tonight and clear the air? I want you to feel at home in the house. You didn’t meet me at my best, but that’s a me issue. I’m working on it.” I nod and smile.

“I’d like that.” She slaps the hood and stands.

“Good, it’s a date.”
