Chapter 17 Out in the Open
“Don’t tell me what?”
Older Brother walked out.
Jiang Huai woke,
sat up too.
Jiang Yan finally spoke. “Cousin, you’re actually gay?!”
Jiang Huai calm. “Yeah.”
Older Brother’s jaw dropped. “No way! You’re gay? You never told me!”
I sat there stiff.
Older Brother’s eyes widened. “So that time in your room… it was a guy?”
Jiang Huai nodded.
I quietly stood.
Jiang Yan glanced at me, then Older Brother. “You still don’t get it?”
Older Brother blank. “Get what?”
I was already at the door,
hand on the knob.
Jiang Huai stood. “Lin Xu, I like your…”
His eyes landed on me.
“…brother.”
Older Brother exhaled. “Scared me. Thought you meant me.”
Then it hit him. “Wait—you like my brother?!”
He turned. “Lin You! Get over here!”
He dragged me in front of Jiang Huai.
“That day in your room—was my brother?!”
Jiang Huai nodded.
Older Brother looked like the sky fell. “When did you two start this?! Right under my nose?!”
I stared at the floor.
Jiang Huai spoke. “It’s not his fault. I forced him.”
Older Brother froze,
then tackled Jiang Huai,
punched him.
Normally Older Brother couldn’t win.
But Jiang Huai didn’t fight back.
Older Brother laughed cold,
grabbed me,
and we left.
