Chapter 23 #2

“Not here! The bedroom, we have a bedroom now. There! Go there!” she laughed as she pulled on my chin horn to point my head toward that other doorway, the one beneath the beautiful water painting.

Curiosity piqued just a little, I ducked through it and came to a pleased stop at the sight of the large, fresh nest covered in my softest furs.

Oh yeah, that would do, I could not wait to spread my mate out on those furs.

She sighed when I lowered us together, and I was eager to divest her of all of her coverings.

Humans wore too much, they needed it to protect their delicate skin and keep warm.

But it was like unwrapping a gift to take off the item she called pants, or to strip the ‘sweater’ over her head.

I spread her on the furs just the way I’d pictured, and then I made sure to lap each strip of fading scales along her skin, and each ticklish spot I could locate on her soft, feminine belly.

She went from laughing and shaking beneath my ministrations to soft sighs and moans when I lapped at her little slit, then hair tugging when I located the little pearl at the top.

She liked it very much when I touched her there, and I was all too happy to oblige.

The soft taste of her, sweet and uniquely hers, the sounds she made; all of it combined to drive me wild with need.

When she begged me to seed her, to fill her with my cock.

My body was so on edge that I felt like I could hurtle over the precipice at any moment.

What my mate asked for, she got. I was resolved to give her anything in my power, anything to make her happy.

This beautiful creature loved me and wanted me to be at her side, in her home, her life.

A gift like that had to be cherished every second of the day.

My cock was painful with its need, the tips writhing in the charged air between us.

I held her pale thighs open for me when I pressed the tips to her wet core, her heat kissing me and sending pleasure tingling up my spine along my lower back.

“This what you want?” I demanded roughly as I started pushing in, delighted when my mate shouted yes without any kind of inhibitions.

I loved how eager she was for me, and how greedily her body pulled me in.

She was tight, warm, and wet after I’d licked her.

I made sure to stroke her just right as I started a push and pull, retreating only to fill her back up, giving her a little more of me each time.

With the tip of my tail I stroked along her belly and up between her bountiful breasts, with a flick, I stroked it across one turgid nipple.

Her inner muscles fluttered around me when I did that, so I did it again, and again.

Her orgasm crashed over her like the tides, I saw it hit her and bloom on her face. Her blue eyes focused on mine and filled with a warmth that felt like home. I was a Water Weaver once, meant to roam Serant on his own, but I was all Farah’s now, and I would never be alone again.

Overcome with emotions, I let the pleasure sweep me away.

Pounding into her greedy core with abandon, aware that she could take it all, all of me.

When I brought my tail down to stroke her pearl, she shattered for me a second time, and she took me with her.

My seed burst from me in a heated rush that sent my pleasure soaring, it flushed along my nerves all the way to the tip of my tail.

I held her close as we rode out the pleasure together.

Each shudder and moan, each clutch of her inner muscles I engraved in my memory.

I held her as she let her tiredness drag her into a nap, and then I let my own eyes slide closed to do the same.

We were safe, we had made it. I could rest with my mate now.

My mate who loved me like I loved her, my mate who returned my devotion.

She was a novelty, a gift. I was so lucky.

Bringing Zeidon to our new home was everything I hoped it would be. His pleased surprise at seeing so many of his things in one place, and his genuine admiration for how Cosima and I had decorated the place made me happy. But mostly, I was happy because he was alright.

I woke before he did after we’d made love in our new ‘nest’ in our new apartment, and I spent several long moments just gazing at his face and wondering how I’d gotten this lucky.

Sure, I missed the daycare and the kids there a little, but I didn’t miss much else.

The government on Earth, the UAR, had done me a service in a way when they lost me on this planet.

For the first time in my life, I felt like everything I wanted was right within my grasp, starting with the guy of my dreams sleeping beside me.

I felt proud of myself for conquering a massive fear to save him, and I’d done amazing things like riding a dragon (and a Naga) and even racing through the woods on a wild, alien stag.

The old me would never believe that I’d gone on a crazy adventure like that, let alone confront and sort of defeat an ancient robot.

It was pretty cool, all things considered.

Now I had a mate I loved with all my heart, a cute pet miniature dragon, and most of all, the chance to have that big family I always dreamed of as an only child.

I couldn’t wait to go back to that Shaman, Artek, and ask him for advice on how to find out if I was pregnant yet.

But thinking of him made me remember that many others were still missing, lost after they had set out to locate and rescue me.

Zeidon stirred just as that cloud settled over my thoughts, blinking open his magnificent green eyes and greeting me with a hint of a cocky smirk.

“Mate,” he rumbled, and then his brows lowered, “What is wrong?” That instant spike of worry on his face made my chest grow warm; I had never been cared for as much as I had been by this male, I was so lucky.

“Just sad that the rescue party is still missing. Do you think they are locked in that other hydroplant room?” He rolled his shoulder and then shrugged, all the answer I was likely going to get.

He did not know, none of us did, but we needed to figure out how to rescue them soon.

It had already been three days without any word, they had access to water, but their food would start to run out in the next few days.

“Don’t be sad. They have capable warriors, and Corin said he knew how to free them.” He nudged me with an arm, then carefully gathered me even closer to nuzzle his face against my hair. I felt cherished when he did that, like he was keeping the whole world out.

He was right too, Corin had said that the first day we’d arrived here.

I couldn’t believe Zeidon even remembered; I could have sworn he was knocked out from his injuries at the time.

Corin and the Outcast Haven leader, Zathar, had held a heated conversation on how to proceed just inside the med bay while Artek and I had hovered at Zeidon’s side while a healing machine worked over his chest.

I’d been a little preoccupied with his well-being, and struggling with seeing him beneath a machine that looked identical to what the robot had used on me.

Overwhelmed too, with all the new information and people I was getting to know.

Even now, I struggled a little with that, although I loved how kind all the girls had been to me.

What I did look forward to, was showing Zeidon the shared meals at the entrance to Ahoshaga, where we now had our own apartment.

I’d only gone once because I didn’t want to leave Zeidon’s side much, but it was fun and cozy, even with so many of the aspirant males missing.

When my belly rumbled from hunger, I knew it was probably about time for such a meal.

“You are hungry,” Zeidon immediately announced and he rose and started looking thoughtfully around the room. “There is no food, I should go hunt. Something small that won’t take long.” Ah, now that he was up, he’d switched back to caretaker mode just like that. He’d be a great dad.

I followed him out of the nest on slightly wobbly legs and quickly ducked into the fully functioning bathroom so I could wash up before I put on my clothes.

My thighs were far too sticky to be polite for company.

“I got it covered, trust me!” I said, then giggled when I caught Zeidon’s baffled expression in the mirror.

Zeidon didn’t really do nervous, although I had kind of expected some anxiety at being told we’d share a meal with the rest of Haven.

He just rolled with it and followed me out to the campfire, his tongue flicking out as he drew the cooking scents into his lungs.

I’d discovered that Naomi was the one responsible for all the good-tasting food, and it was clear that it drew Zeidon too.

She’d been cooking like a fiend ever since she’d learned that her mate was still stuck underground.

When he sat next to me, completely relaxed and at ease, though not the most engaged conversationalist, I knew this was going to work.

He thought he didn’t like crowds and company, but he was not a typical introvert, his eyes were practically gleaming with excited happiness at the pleasant noises of conversation going on around us.

And I caught a wide, fang-filled smile when he noticed Srazz going around the fire begging for scraps, and readily getting pets instead.

It looked like I was not the only one who was finally getting what they dreamed of. I hadn’t realized it had given me tension until now, but when the worry that Zeidon wouldn’t like it here dropped away, I felt as light as a feather.

I caught his gaze when he spotted Buzz and Kiwi, Naomi’s miniature dragon, lazing together. “Yeah, this is a good home, isn’t it?” In answer, he dipped his head and pressed his mouth to mine for a long, thorough kiss.

“Yes, Precious. It really is,” he rumbled at me in a low voice.

His tail curled around my hip, tugging me closer against his side on the log we sat on.

With his arm around my shoulder, I really did feel precious, the most precious person in his entire world.

It was a heady feeling, and even better, I felt the same way for him.

“Hey, anyone seen Corin?” Vera suddenly asked, “I haven’t seen him all day, and now he isn’t here…

” I looked away from Zeidon’s emerald, love-filled gaze to cast my eyes around the circle of faces, only to come up short one pale blue Naga male.

He really wasn’t here, and Vera was right, I had not seen him since early this morning in the medical room when he was discussing something with Artek, the Shaman, in hushed but clearly argumentative whispers.

“I have not seen Min-Ji for some time either,” Aks said, an older blue-scaled male who made the most fantastical paintings. He rose from his log and cast his eyes back toward Ahoshaga’s entrance with a deep frown that was mirrored on Zathar’s face.

“I believe they have gone to rescue the others,” Artek said.
