Epilogue

Smiling at the chaos on the front porch, a calm filled Jackson’s soul, watching everyone hugging or talking at once to whomever was closest to them at the time.

This is what a home should be like. When Logan finally reached him and took Daniel, Jackson murmured, “Welcome home, twin. I’ve missed you. ”

“I missed you too. Is everything all right?”

“It is now.” Jackson grinned at how well his brother knew him. “So, what’s so special about Queenie?”

Shaking his head, Logan said, “Not now. Little pitchers have big ears.”

“Ohhh,” smirked Jackson. “Now, I’m eager to meet Queenie.”

“No you aren’t. Trust me. Give me some time with him first.”

“Maybe,” Jackson said. “Is everything okay with Brian and Reif?”

“Yup. The five sea dragon eggs are in incubators and safely ensconced in the home Oracle bought for them. Wait until I tell you about who pulled this stunt on the sea dragons,” Logan said.

“Speaking of dragons, when do I get to see yours?” asked Jackson.

“Tomorrow soon enough? It’s been a very long day,” Logan replied.

“Sure.”

“Hey, who’s that?” Carson asked, pointing to a motorhome coming up the driveway.

“I don’t know,” Jackson said, pushing to the front of the crowd as all eyes turned to the unexpected visitors.

Handing Daniel off to Dakota, Logan joined his brother, standing at his right, noticing Steel doing the same on Jackson’s left. “Were you expecting guests?” he asked.

“No, not today,” Jackson murmured, his eyes trained on the driver.

Turning off the engine, Hunter locked eyes with his cousin, noticing his emotionless expression and an Alpha power that was off the charts. Fuck, what ever happened to the Jackie I knew?

“Holy fuck! Look at the size of their pack house!” exclaimed Sawyer.

“Hey, who are all those people?” asked Robin. “I thought only our cousins lived here.”

“So did I,” Mason said.

Hunter watched as Jackie descended the front steps alone, walking toward him, not giving anything away.

“Shit, remind me never to play poker with him,” said Sawyer.

“Who is that, Hunt?” Robin asked.

Climbing out of the driver’s seat, Hunter replied, “Our cousin Jackson, Alpha of the Blackwood Pack. Stay here until I see what’s going on.” Opening the door, he stepped down onto the driveway, waiting for his cousin to speak.

“Hunter, welcome to the Blackwood Pack. I wasn’t expecting you today.” Jackson said.

“Yeah, sorry about that, we made better time driving through the desert than anticipated,” Hunter replied.

A breeze swirled around them; his nostrils flared as he caught a faint scent that caused his cock to harden instantly.

What the fuck? Breaking off eye contact with his cousin, Hunter glanced over Jackson’s shoulder, his eyes zeroing in on… my mate!
