Epilogue

Bishop - One Month Later

“You may now kiss your husband.”

The crowd erupted into cheers as Byron dipped Wilder into the filthiest kiss I’d ever witnessed.

Jesus, it was like something out of a porno.

There was so much… tongue. They’d barely been together for two months and they were already getting hitched.

I guess once you know, you know. And these two were perfect for each other.

I still didn’t think I’d seen a day where Wilder didn’t have a fresh bruise, and it made me ache in a way I didn’t think was possible.

I wanted to feel that, to know what it felt like to be so completely owned by someone that you’d put your life in their hands.

I yearned for that kind of submission, but I’d spend so long running, I didn’t know how to stand still.

I had a place here, in the Morozov Mafia, but I felt the need to run like an itch burrowing and festering beneath my skin. And with Byron settling down with Wilder, who was going to chase me now?

I walked out of the wedding, unable to bear the noise any longer. There was only one place I found solace these days.

It was the one place that I shouldn’t be, yet I couldn’t stop myself returning to it. I was an addict and my poison of choice was him.

The cavern was dark and cold and my breath curled like white smoke in the frigid air. I dragged the chair over, and the motion sensor light clicked on as I walked closer. He liked it in the dark and he was more than happy to remain deathly still to keep the light off.

A large clear box sat in the centre of the cavern. There was a bed, a chair and a table and nothing more. Sat on the floor, legs crossed and impossibly still, those haunting red eyes tracking my every move, was my drug of choice.

Silas Morely.

The vampire who’d kidnapped Benji and tried to murder Damyr.

His smile was knowing and smug as I sat in the chair opposite him. “Well, if it isn’t my pretty little saint. To what do I owe this visit?”
