Chapter 32 - Ryan

Ryan

My pencil stopped on the paper as I scowled at Dominic. “You’re moving again.”

“Are you fucking kidding me?” He shot me an incredulous look from where he was splayed across his bed.

The one we’d shared every night for the past three weeks.

The most blissful weeks of my life. My bed was out of the question with Xander staying in my flat.

Even with a few walls between us, he still had a long list of ribald comments about things he’d overheard whenever we met up.

“Seriously, you must be joking. Is it April first and I somehow missed it?”

I bit the inside of my cheek to hide my grin. If I were in Dominic’s position, I’d be pissed off too. “You’re the one who wanted me to find my muse, remember? I can’t help when it strikes.”

He huffed. “I think you can help it hitting mid fucking sex. Now if you were designing my tattoo…”

I laughed at his less than subtle approach. “I told you, I need time. I can’t have you inking shit on your body permanently unless it’s perfect.”

“Never stopped me before.”

“Yes, but I didn’t know you were going to do that then.” The line of his calf caught my attention and my pencil went flying over the paper once more. “Just give me another five minutes, and I’ll make it worth your while.”

“Will you get over here and finish the job?”

“Yes,” I said distractedly, trying to capture the exact shape of his slightly slack hole, all red and swollen from where I’d been pounding it a few minutes ago. One look at where I’d disappeared into him, and I’d known I needed to capture him in this moment. “But you can’t come.”

Dom’s stunned silence had me biting my cheek again. If we carried on at this rate, I’d have permanent teeth marks there before long.

“Okay, now I know you’re fucking with me,” he said finally. “There’s winding me up, Shadow, and then there’s this.”

I shot him an innocent look. “What happened to doing whatever made me happy?”

“There are limits,” he muttered darkly. “And you’re quickly finding them.”

“So dramatic,” I said, adding some shading to the inside of his pucker.

Safe to say, this was one drawing that would never be seen publicly.

Not that I thought any of my art would, but…

well, I’d be lying if I said I hadn’t been thinking about it.

Nothing drastic. I wasn’t about to throw away the career I’d worked so hard for.

But finding room to explore a skill I loved? That, I could do.

“You can’t come because I want you to fuck me too,” I continued. “I want to fuck you until I come, then have you do the same to me.”

That got Dominic’s attention, and his pupils dilated as he went still. “Best get drawing, Shadow. I won’t move an inch.”

It took longer than five minutes before I was satisfied, but to his credit, Dominic stayed in place. Not that I’d expected anything different. The man could achieve anything with the right motivation. Just look at us. He’d returned after ten years of silence to find me engaged to someone else.

Yet, here I was, back in his life against all odds.

And fucking grateful for it.

“There,” I said softly, putting my sketchbook aside. “All done.”

The blanket I’d draped over my lap to draw fell away, and Dom devoured the sight of my erection. “Seems you’re ready to go.”

“Never stopped being ready,” I said, falling on top of him breathlessly. “Just because I paused to draw you, doesn’t mean I didn’t want you.”

“You still did it though,” he grumbled as I lined myself up.

“You’ll thank me in a few minutes,” I said, groaning as his hole sucked me in. “Fuck, Dom. You’re so tight.”

“Don’t you dare stop this time.” He gasped, his eyes rolling back in his head as I nudged his prostate. “Take me, Shadow. Make me yours.”

I let myself loose with a growl. There was no gentle build-up; I went straight back to the punishing pace I’d been delivering before I’d paused.

Dominic took me beautifully. Small grunts erupted from his chest with every thrust, his muscles tensing as I pounded him. Stickiness splattered my abs as his cock bounced between us. I didn’t touch it. Not yet. Not if I wanted him inside me.

His teeth were gritted, the veins on his neck pronounced as he held back his orgasm. “Hurry, Shadow. I’m so close already.”

“Tell me,” I demanded. Begged. I needed to hear them. The words we’d discovered would have me exploding as soon as they left Dominic’s lips.

“I’m yours,” he said, making sure he could be heard over the headboard banging into the wall. “I’m yours, Shadow. I’m not going anywhere. I’m never leaving you again.”

Stars filled my vision as electricity shot up my spine. My balls drew up tight, my toes curling as I roared Dominic’s name. My orgasm felt endless, cum filling Dom until it was squelching with my faltering thrusts.

We’d given up condoms last week after getting our test results back, and neither of us were used to the intense sensation of going bare yet.

It had led to more than one trigger-happy ending.

My favourite had been when Dom had bent me over while I was cooking dinner.

He’d been most aggrieved to realise he’d come before the water for the pasta had even boiled.

The laughter that had followed was a reflection of what I’d loved the most about the past three weeks. Not the sex, but the fun.

I hadn’t realised it had been absent from my life.

Nor how much I’d missed it.

“Quick,” Dom panted, tapping me between my shoulder blades. “I need to prep you before my balls burst.”

I laughed breathlessly as I eased out of him. “Literally impossible, love. Anyway, we don’t need to worry about that.”

He tilted his head quizzically. “What do you mean?”

“Remember how I popped out to get my sketchbook?”

“And took an unreasonable amount of time doing so? Yes.”

“That’s because I was also doing this.” I fell back on my arse and spread my legs. “No prep required.”

Dom gave a filthy groan as he spotted the plug nestled neatly in my hole. “You little minx. You planned this all along.”

I grinned. “Had to make sure you had a good enough incentive to let me draw you.”

“Well played, Shadow.” He carefully tugged the plug free. “Do you need anything more or can I…?”

“Fuck that,” I breathed, spreading my legs wider. “Hurry up and fuck me.”

“Thank god,” he said, propping himself up with one of his big arms while his other hand guided him into me. “I was serious about my balls exploding.”

A laugh juddered from me. “You’re ridiculous.”

He gave me a lazy grin as he began to thrust. “You love it.”

“I do,” I said, winding my legs around his waist. “It’s part of you, and I love everything about you.”

“God, the things you say to me.” His chest brushed mine as he kissed me. “I can’t get enough.”

I wound my fingers into his hair as he took me.

Despite the shivers of pleasure rushing over me, my cock stayed soft.

I wasn’t surprised. It’d had more action over the last three weeks than the previous decade combined.

It wasn’t just Dominic either. I was as needy and desperate for him as he was for me.

All it took was a flash of skin or a particularly heated look, and I’d be tackling him to the nearest flat surface.

Didn’t matter what it was, either. So far, we’d had sex on the sofa, the kitchen counter, the dining room table, and even once against the front door.

Which, unfortunately, Xander had happened to walk past. Could’ve lived without him clapping and cheering as I emptied myself into Dominic.

Even without getting hard, I loved every second of Dom being inside me. Nothing felt as right as this. Knowing how much he loved me and the lengths he’d gone to for us to have a future.

It overwhelmed me. Just as my love for him overwhelmed me. I’d thought once that it would pull me under.

Instead, it sent me soaring.

Dom’s breath was sawing against my lips as he slammed into me. He was close. I could feel it. “Shadow. Oh, Shadow.”

“I love you,” I murmured against Dom’s lips. Just like he did with me, I knew what to say to send him over the edge. “I’m yours. Just yours.”

“Fuck!” He thrust in to the hilt as he came, then he collapsed on my chest, wheezing against my skin. “My stamina’s been shot to shit since we started going bare.”

I chuckled, scratching my nails against his scalp lightly. “I think you can blame this one on the mid-session pause.”

“Let’s do that.” He propped his chin up on my sternum, smiling at me in a way that had my heart beating faster. “But we’d best keep practicing, just in case.”

It wasn’t all smooth sailing. Not that I’d expected it to be. There were many times when neither of us wanted to back down. When one of us pushed the other too far. When our voices rose and tempers boiled.

The difference now was that it never got out of control. We’d always calm down and, most importantly, talk it out.

Our communication had never been better. Every problem was discussed. Every crease ironed out. Compromise was something we were both willing to do.

To be honest, there was little either of us wouldn’t do to make our relationship work. We’d both been right in that sense. Love alone was enough to bring you together, but you also needed communication. Mutual respect. Appreciation. Understanding.

Luckily, we had all of those elements in spades.

Our relationship now was unrecognisable from what it had been when we were teenagers. We’d both grown up and matured into different people. I hated that we hadn’t done so together, but that we were benefitting from it?

That, I didn’t hate.

My days looked different too. I didn’t come home to an empty flat.

I didn’t go to my home at all, but Dominic’s.

Don’t get me wrong, I still hung out with Xander, but I slept at Dominic’s side each night.

Trips to the gym weren’t lonely—not with Dominic or Xander accompanying me. Even Max had joined me once and twice.
