Chapter 8 #2
Milo’s hands roamed my back, exploring with an almost scientific curiosity that quickly gave way to more urgent touches. When I shifted to kiss his neck, he arched up with a whimper that sounded almost wolf-like in its vulnerability.
“Sensitive,” I murmured against his skin.
“Everything’s sensitive,” he gasped. “Human form has so many nerve endings.”
I smiled against his throat, enjoying his reactions. “Let’s see just how sensitive,” I suggested, trailing kisses down his chest.
When my mouth closed around one nipple, Milo made a sound between a gasp and a growl, his hands flying to my hair. I took my time exploring his torso, learning what made him squirm and what made him moan.
By the time I reached the waistband of his jeans, he was breathing hard, small sounds escaping with each exhale. I glanced up, seeking permission.
“Please,” he whispered, lifting his hips in clear invitation.
I unbuttoned his jeans slowly, sliding the zipper down with deliberate care. Beneath, he wore simple black boxer briefs that did nothing to hide his arousal. I helped him wiggle out of the jeans, tossing them aside before running my hands up his now-bare legs.
“Still okay?” I checked, noting the slight tremble in his thighs.
“More than okay,” he assured me, propping himself up on his elbows to watch me. “Just… everything feels so intense.”
“We can slow down,” I offered again.
“Don’t you dare,” he replied with surprising vehemence.
I laughed softly, pressing a kiss to his inner thigh. “Demanding little wolf.”
His eyes flashed at the endearment, a growl rumbling in his chest that shouldn’t have been as arousing as it was.
“What about you?” he asked, eyeing my still-fastened jeans. “I want to see all of you.”
I stood to remove my jeans, very aware of Milo’s intent gaze following every movement. When I was down to just my boxers, I paused, suddenly nervous despite the obvious desire in his eyes.
“Come here,” he said softly, holding out a hand.
I rejoined him on the bed, and he immediately pressed against me, skin to skin from chest to thigh. The feeling was electric—his warmth, his scent, the subtle friction as he shifted against me.
“You feel amazing,” I murmured, hands exploring the dip of his spine, the curve of his ass through his underwear.
“So do you,” he breathed, pressing kisses along my jaw. “Your scent is driving me crazy. All warm and wanting and mine.”
The possessiveness in that last word sent heat spiraling through me. “Yours, huh?”
His eyes met mine, something primal flickering in their depths. “Yes,” he said simply. “If you want to be.”
Instead of answering with words, I kissed him deeply, rolling us so he was beneath me again. His legs parted naturally, allowing me to settle between them, our erections pressing together through the thin fabric of our underwear.
The first deliberate roll of my hips drew matching groans from both of us. Milo’s hands gripped my shoulders, nails digging in slightly as we found a rhythm, rocking together with increasing urgency.
“Finn,” he gasped, eyes wide. “It’s—I’m—”
“It’s okay,” I soothed, recognizing the overwhelmed look on his face. “Just feel it. Let go.”
His body tensed beneath mine, back arching as a cry escaped him—half human, half wolf-like in its intensity. Feeling him come apart triggered my own release, and I buried my face in his neck as pleasure washed over me.
For several moments, we lay tangled together, breathing hard, hearts racing in tandem. Milo’s arms were wrapped around me, holding me close as if afraid I might disappear.
“That was…” he finally whispered, voice filled with wonder.
“Yeah,” I agreed, lifting my head to meet his gaze. “It was.”
His eyes were bright, a smile playing at the corners of his mouth. “Human bodies are remarkable.”
I laughed, rolling to his side but keeping one arm draped across him. “That’s your takeaway?”
“One of many,” he replied, turning to face me. “Another is that I want to do that again. And more. Much more.”
“We have all night,” I reminded him, brushing a strand of hair from his forehead. “And checkout isn’t until noon tomorrow.”
His smile widened. “Efficient use of hotel resources. Very human of you.”
I pulled him closer, pressing a kiss to his forehead. “We should clean up first.”
He wrinkled his nose. “Right. Humans care about that sort of thing.”
“Trust me, you’ll appreciate it in a few minutes when things start getting… tacky.”
With some reluctance, we separated long enough to clean up in the bathroom. When Milo emerged, having discarded his soiled underwear in favor of nothing at all, I felt desire stirring again despite our recent release.
He noticed my gaze and smiled, a hint of shyness mixing with newfound confidence. “Is this okay? Wolves don’t usually bother with clothes when we’re in our dens.”
“More than okay,” I assured him, having opted for clean boxers myself. “Come here.”
He climbed back into bed, immediately curling against my side, head resting on my chest. The casual intimacy of it felt as significant as what we’d just shared.
“Your heart sounds nice,” he murmured, ear pressed over my heartbeat. “Strong and steady.”
I stroked his hair, marveling at how natural this felt. “Not racing anymore?”
“No,” he yawned. “Content now. Safe.”
Something protective unfurled in my chest at his words. I tightened my arm around him, dropping a kiss on the top of his head.
“Get some rest,” I suggested. “Convention day two tomorrow.”
He made a small noise of acknowledgment, already drifting toward sleep. Just before his breathing evened out completely, he murmured, “Best human experience yet.”
I smiled into the darkness, listening to his gentle breathing and feeling the warm weight of him against me. “Mine too,” I whispered, though he was already asleep.
