Chapter Two
Charity
He’s all my fantasies and dreams rolled into one. -Charity
I’m breathing hard by the time I reach my room. I slam the door shut and stand against the hard surface of it. I lift my hand to my chest and feel the rapid beat of my own heart.
He said my name. He said my name while he came.
That’s all that I can think. The man I’ve been lusting after for three years said my name in the shower while he stroked himself to completion.
The man that I’ve ached for every night, the man that rescued me and makes me feel safe… he wants me. Me of all people!
I know there’s a bizarre wide smile spreading across my face now, but I can’t seem to stop it.
I can also feel a tingle between my legs, that same familiar tingle that wakes me up in the middle of the night with thoughts of Silver.
I twirl around the room with the broad smile on my face, thinking of the man I love, naked in the shower, thinking about of all people…
me. Charity Daniels, the shy girl who could barely look at a boy, the girl who is afraid of her own shadow, the object of the affections of the most attractive man I’ve ever met.
I sit down on the bed with a thump. The smile disappears as fast as it hit. Yes, Silver wants me. Yes, he touched himself thinking of me. But what the hell do I do with that information?
The truth is, I have no idea. I’ve never thought of how to attract a man.
My longings for Silver have been carefully documented in my journal and hidden away.
Not even my best friend, Annie, knows how I feel.
I mean she teases me about the way I look at the leader of the Silver Snakes MC, but she doesn’t know that I’m deeply in love with him.
She doesn’t know about the way I crave him at night and think of the way his callused hands would feel against my soft skin.
She has no idea how I ache for him. No one does.
I chew on my bottom lip. There’s something broken within me.
Ever since that night that terrible biker, Cowboy, took me and tried to…
well, tried to…do things to me, I haven’t been able to bring myself to touch a man.
Not even my perfect Silver. Of course, I let him carry me that night when I was beaten and broken, but since then…
I’ve barely been able to let a man shake hands with me.
How the hell am I supposed to seduce a man when I can’t touch him?
I pick up my phone with shaky hands. Annie answers as soon as I hit her name on the screen.
“What’s up, girlie? I was just thinking about you.
Just thinkin’ we could catch a movie tomorrow night.
There’s a new romance out and I know Nitro won’t want to go with me.
The big guy would still sit through it, but I prefer not to torture him.
” Annie barely takes a breath in between her words.
It’s one of the things I love about her.
She fills the silences that so often bother me.
“I need to know how to seduce a man.” The words come out rushed and I clamp a hand over my mouth. I didn’t mean to say it quite that plain.
There’s an uncomfortable silence…the kind I hate. Then, Annie speaks. “Emergency meeting tonight. Nitro will be at the club meeting. We’ll make this happen.”
