Chapter 23 #2
Knowing there’s no point in arguing when it comes to Garrett, I take her hands and have her sway to the beat of the music.
We’re a few songs in—Callie getting a drink between each song—by the time the guys make themselves known to us.
“Callie, what the hell are you wearing?” Sylas’ voice has us pausing.
We turn around to see the three of them standing there, dressed in… huh?
“Where are your costumes?” I blurt.
They all look my way. “We’re here to make sure nothing happens to you two,” Jasper sneers. “We own Fortune 500 companies. We don’t play dress up.”
I want to say ‘what about the plague doctor outfits’, but that would be opening a can of worms I’m not ready to deal with just yet.
“It’s Halloween, Sylas. It’s just a costume. Lighten up.” She goes to take a sip of her drink, but Sylas grabs it.
“How many of these have you had?” he asks, narrowing his eyes.
“None of your business.” Callie snatches it back. She turns to me. “I’m going to pee. Be right back.”
Callie takes off, leaving me surrounded by the three of them.
“Hi.” I wave lamely.
Sylas’ lip curls into a smirk. “Of all the costumes, this was not one I expected you to wear.” He slowly rakes his eyes over me. “Looking good, Lola Girl.”
“Thanks.” I find myself grinning.
“Are you trying to tell us something?” Wesley asks, a smirk playing on his lips.
“Huh?” My brows furrow, not sure what he’s talking about.
“You’re dressed as Harley Quinn. Callie is dressed as Poison Ivy. They’re dating, aren't they? So… is this your way of coming out?”
“What?” My eyes widen as I splutter. “No.” I shake my head. “I’m not into women. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but I like guys. Not girls. Dicks, gimme all the dicks.”
Well, not all the dicks, only their dicks.
By the time I’m done making a fool of myself, Sylas and Wesley are grinning at me while Jasper lifts an amused brow.
Jasper steps forward, making my breath hitch and my heart start to race. He cocks his head to the side, his dark eyes staring straight into my soul. It’s hard not to swoon, to lean into him.
Sylas steps up behind me, trapping me between the two of them, Wesley taking my side.
“All the dicks, huh?” Jasper asks, a bit of a growl in his tone. “How many?”
“W-what?” I breathe, my head dizzy with how close they are to me.
I can smell Jasper, and it’s so much better than the hint of cologne I got when I was in his room setting up the camera.
Last time he was this close to me, he was inside me.
But I wasn’t able to smell much of anything with his hand over my mouth and nose.
“How many dicks have you taken, Lola?” Wesley asks.
“How many guys have been inside you?”
I want to say none, but that would be a lie. I could tell them I’m a virgin, but wouldn’t that play into the way they already see me? As some sweet innocent girl.
They wouldn’t think that if they could remember the night a few weeks ago. The one where they were all inside me, fucking me like the dirty little whore I want to be for them.
I’ve been craving that closeness again. Not the sex, although I wouldn't turn that down if they offered. It’s having them around me like this, so close I can hardly breathe.
I loved the way they looked at me when they realized I was everything they wished I was.
I can’t tell them I’ve had sex with them before, but I don’t want to lie.
“Three,” I blurt out before I can think about what I’m saying, my heart slamming in my chest as I wait for their reaction.
They go deathly still, and I start to freak out. God, I fucked this up. I knew it. I should have kept my mouth shut!
“Who?” Jasper finally speaks, demanding to know and seething with anger.
“Uh…” My brain goes blank. Fuck. What do I say?!
“Tell us, Lola,” Sylas growls behind me, his mouth so close to my ear. I whimper, my body breaking out in goosebumps, and my core heating as arousal floods me.
“Why does it matter?” I whisper.
“Just answer the question.” Wesley, who normally doesn’t seem to have a care in the world, actually sounds mad.
But why? Why would they care who I’m with? They’re the ones who wrote me off a long time ago. They’re the ones who never let me have the chance to prove them wrong.
Wait. Are they jealous? Is that what this is?
Oh my god. I bet it is. This is so exciting.
Okay, Nola, play it cool. Watch what you say. You don’t want to fuck this all up for real.
“It doesn’t matter.” I lick my lips, glad these shorts are leather, otherwise there would be a damp patch clear as day right between my legs.
“We asked you a question. Now answer.”
If I refuse, I might make them angrier. I can’t tell them it was them.
My mind tries to think of what to say. “Bryson Caulder, Jackson Lockland, and Royce Butler,” I blurt out the first few names that pop into my head.
“You're fucking kidding me,” Sylas snarls. “Them? Why the fuck would you sleep with them, Nola?”
“I don’t know,” I whimper, seeming to just upset them more.
“You’re too fucking good for them,” Jasper growls. “Low-life wastes of space like them don’t deserve to lay a fucking finger on you.”
“They don’t?” I blink up at them. What is going on? No clue, but I’m loving it.
I’ve never seen them like this before. It’s so hot. And exciting.
“Bryson, Jackson, Royce,” Wesley murmurs to himself, like he’s tucking them into his memory.
“Stay away from them.” Jasper grips my chin, lowering his face, which places his lips only inches from mine.
I think I might actually pass out right now.
Kiss me. Kiss me. Kiss me!
“Or what?” I ask, feeling a bit bold.
“You won’t like the answer,” he vows. “Just be a good girl, Nola.”
“And what if I don’t want to be good?” I ask, raising a brow. Another wave of bravery hits me, but I quickly step back, bumping into Sylas, something hard hitting my ass. Oh god, he’s got a boner. Did I give that to him?
Of course I did. I better have.
Biting my lip, I lock eyes with Jasper as I roll my hips, grinding my ass against Sylas’ cock. A flood of arousal rushes through me, and I have to stifle the whimper that wants to slip free at the way Sylas groans, his hands gripping onto my hips roughly.
“Watch it, Lola Girl,” Sylas growls in my ear. “You don’t know what kind of game you're playing.”
Maybe not. But I really, really want to find out.
“If I were you,” Wesley adds in. “I’d stay away from anyone who isn’t us and Callie.”
“Why?” I ask again. What does he mean by that?
“Just do it,” Jasper barks. “And stop wearing shit like this.” He steps back, looking me up and down. “It’s just going to create more hassle than there needs to be.”
Sylas steps away from me, then Wesley.
“Remember what we said.” Wesley pulls a cigarette from the pack of smokes in his hand, popping it between his lips. “Be a good girl, will ya?”
I watch in shock as they walk away, disappearing into the house.
“Sorry I took so long,” Callie apologizes as she joins me again. “Did they cause too much trouble?”
I blink. And blink.
“What's wrong?” Callie steps in front of me, a concerned look on her face.
“They’re jealous,” I say in disbelief.
“What? Who?”
“The guys.” A slow grin takes over my face, growing so big it hurts. “I made them jealous .”
“Yeah?” Her brows rise, a smile finding her face. “How? Why? What did I miss?”
“Long story, but I kind of told them I slept with three guys from high school.”
Callie gapes at me. “Why would you do that?”
“I don’t know, I panicked.”
She bursts out laughing. “Oh, honey, you just signed their death certificates.”
“No.” I shake my head. “No way.”
“Babe.” She grabs onto my shoulders. “They killed your high school teacher for you.”
“Yeah, but that guy tried to rape me. These guys never did anything.” Okay, sure, they made a few gross comments in the past, but other than that, they just ignored me.
“No. But they believe you slept with them.”
“So?” I ask.
“My sweet, sweet bestie. The guys might have their heads up their ass when it comes to claiming you as theirs, but it doesn’t change the fact that they’ve been obsessed with you since we were kids. Just because they don’t believe they could ever have you, doesn't mean they don’t want you.”
“You think they would actually kill those guys for sleeping with me?”
“I would bet my left tit on it.” She nods her head.
“Why not your right one?” My brow furrows.
“Because that one is more perky. It’s the best one I got.”
“Fair.”
“Anyways. Yeah, so they’re dead.” Callie nods.
“See, this is why you’re so perfect for one another.
You kill anyone they touch, and they kill anyone who touches you.
Even if they didn’t actually touch you,” Callie laughs.
“Still, it’s a match made in heaven. Now you all just need to come together and be one big fucked up little family. ”
“That is the goal,” I giggle. “Soon! But hey, this is good, right?”
“Totally.” She nods. “It means they’re starting to see you differently. Whatever you're doing, keep doing it.”
“I’d love to. If I knew what the fuck I was doing to get these kinds of reactions out of them,” I mutter. “I’m clueless, Callie.”
“It’s okay.” Callie loops her arm through mine. “I still love you.”
Laughing, we head over to the drink table and get Callie another drink.
We’re there for another hour when I start to grow worried. Callie said she wasn’t feeling good and needed some air. I asked if she wanted me to go with her, but she said no. Said if she puked, she didn’t want anyone to see her like that.
Not sure why that matters. I’ve dissected bodies before, a little puke is nothing to me. But she already looked miserable, so I didn’t want to argue with her.
Now, I’m growing worried. I don’t care what she said, I’m going to find her.
I head out of the house and look for any sight of her.
That's when I hear the sound of puking and cringe. It could be anyone, seeing as how half the people here are blitzed out of their minds, but it’s better to check.
When I round the corner, I find her bent over, her whole body shaking as she pukes into the bushes.
What I didn’t expect to see was Batman standing next to her, rubbing her back.
