Chapter Four

“Goddamn, I’ve been looking for her.”

Jon and Koa didn’t lose their hold on Mina and just looked up at one of the Sanctuary Master’s and their good friend.

“Why?” Koa asked.

Jeffrey’s eyebrows lifted in surprise at the possessive way the men looked. His eyes darted back and forth.

“She’s mine,” he said to yank their chains.

Both men looked to Mina when she whimpered and tried to shake her head.

“Is this true?” Jon growled.

“No, I don’t even know him.”

“But you let me hold you, and we talked about sitting down together.”

Mina gasped loudly. “That’s not true.”

Both men turned their gaze toward the Dom.

Jon narrowed his eyes. “It doesn’t sound like she agrees with you.”

“Please, no,” Mina said.

Jeffrey grinned. “I might have embellished it a bit. I was trying to help her, but she ran from me.”

“You bastard,” Koa said and grinned.

“Shouldn’t he be spanked for lying?” Mina asked seriously.

All three men froze and then threw back their heads and laughed.

She stomped one of her feet on the ground, the best she could sitting down, and caught between Jon’s legs.

Jeffery took a few breaths. He hadn’t laughed like that in ages. He grinned when he caught sight of her disgruntled expression.

“Do you want to be the one to try to spank him?” Jon asked.

His grin grew as horror replaced frustration on her face. Jeffrey couldn’t get the smile off his face. He straightened his spine and crossed his massive arms over his chest.

“Never happen, sweetheart.”

“I would never ... I couldn’t...”

Jeffrey chuckled and walked around the sofa table. He went to lay his hand on top of her head. He froze in shock as both men growled their displeasure.

His smile grew, but he pulled his hand back. “So, it’s like that, huh?”

“Yes,” both men growled.

“Does she know it?”

“Not yet,” Koa spat out.

Jeffrey had never seen his friends react to a woman like that before.

“Are you going to collar her?” Jeffrey asked in surprise because he already knew the answer.

“Yes,” both men stated firmly.

Jeffrey looked down at Mina as Jon still held her head.

“Eyes on me,” Jon growled at Mina when she tried to look at Jeffrey.

Jeffrey’s eyes widened. Jesus, it was worse than he thought.

“Possessive much?” Jeffrey joked. He took a step back and held up his hands in surrender when he received two dark looks from his friends. He tried really hard to look serious, but he’d never seen them like that before. “All right, all right. I’ll leave.”

All three watched him walk away. The men scowled when they heard his laughter. They both turned to see a single tear run down her face and the saddest blue eyes they’d ever seen.

Jon ran his thumb over her cheek. “Aw, sweetheart. What’s got you crying?”

She shook her head, dislodging Jon’s hand, and sat back to put as much space between them as possible. “When can I go home?”

“Where do you live, pet?” Koa asked. His fingers itched to touch her breasts again. He’d dropped his hand when Jeffrey had walked around the table to reach her, ready to punch him if he got too close. Besides, he didn’t want to push her any more than they already had.

“I don’t think it’s a good idea to tell you that. I don’t know you.”

They both nodded.

Koa was proud of her. She was right. She had to be careful. “Good girl. You’re right. You shouldn’t tell us that. We’ll find out from Stacy at the desk.”

She gasped. “You can’t do that. That has to be illegal for her to give out personal information.”

“Not if we own the place,” Koa said. Both men waited to see if she was like most women. The minute they found out the men were rich, their attitude changed, and they became sweeter and fake in a bid to keep the men’s attention.

Her gaze went from one to the other in shock, and then she struggled to stand. “Let me go,” she said and whimpered in distress.

“We’re not done with you yet.”

She sniffed and blinked her eyes a few times. “I don’t want to be your entertainment for the night. Please let me up. I’ve had enough of people being cruel to me.”

“How are we being cruel to you?” Koa asked, confused.

“Pretending to be nice to me and touching me and telling me I’m pretty. It’s cruel, and I want to go home.”

Jon pulled her down and brought her very close to both of them. She sat because he didn’t give her a choice. “Listen.” He waited a bit for her to focus on him. When she didn’t, his voice hardened to get her attention. “Stop right now and listen to us.”

She stiffened.

They both watched her freeze, and then all her fight rush from her body, and she slumped back.
