Chapter Ten
Jon studied her face as Koa touched her and almost groaned at the ecstasy, need, and submission in her expression. He cupped her face and tilted it up before placing his lips over hers. He started slowly, trying not to overwhelm her.
When she moaned and clutched at the fabric of his shirt to pull him closer, he lost what little control he had and took her mouth the way he’d dreamed of from the beginning. His tongue invaded the second her mouth opened a bit. He tasted and stroked all he could.
He cleared his throat. “Jon, slow down, man.”
Jon ripped his mouth from hers and stared down as he tried to draw in air. Her face was still turned up and resting against Koa’s chest as she panted. Her eyes were closed, her mouth open and swollen from his kiss.
“Goddamn, woman.” He slid his thumbs over her flushed cheeks. A smile grew when she finally opened her eyes to stare at him. “We are never letting you go.”
She stiffened and swallowed at the conviction in his voice. “Don’t say things like that,” she pleaded.
“Why, baby? It’s the God’s honest truth,” Jon said in a firm tone.
“Because there’s a chance we won’t work out. Nothing’s a hundred percent, and the fact that we don’t know each other makes me nervous. What if I’m not what you need? I don’t want any promises until we get to know each other better.”
Jon nodded but continued to hold and smile at her.
“I’ve heard from a few friends who had felt this kind of instantaneous feeling of rightness between them when they met their woman.
All of them have made a lifelong commitment to each other, and they have been together for years.
A few of them, decades. We’ve been told their relationships are only getting stronger. ”
Koa hugged her before walking around in front of her to see her expression.
“Are you willing to give us a chance? It might not be easy because with you, we seemed to be a tad overprotective, and it might grate on you, or we might lighten up a bit with time.” He grinned when Jon snorted.
“But if you put yourself in our hands, we promise to do our best to make you the happiest woman on the planet.”
She looked from one to the other, smiled, and nodded. “All I know is I want you guys. So, yes, I’d like to be with you both.”
They closed in on her from both sides. Koa got to her mouth first and took it like he was starved. He only backed off when Jon grunted. She followed as he straightened.
“Jesus, woman, you’re killing me. You were just sick hours ago, and you still don’t feel one hundred percent. Let’s get you fed, and then we can show you around.”
She took a step back. “May I have a shower first?”
They both stared at her with worried expressions.
“I promise I’m strong enough.”
Koa looked at Jon. “I don’t think she should shower by herself.”
“I don’t either.”
She held up a hand.
“I know I’m probably not going to win a lot of arguments with you guys since it’s two to one, so give me a little time. You can wait outside the door and help me get dressed. All right?”
“Fine, but this won’t happen again,” Koa warned.
She smiled and walked toward the bathroom. She turned at the door and gripped the frame.
“Where did you guys put my clothes? I can’t walk around in your shirt all day.”
“One of us will get you some clothes. Later, we have a lot of rules and expectations to go over with you,” Koa said.
She smiled mischievously. “I will tell you my rules and expectations at that time, also.”
The men watched her quickly close the door and heard her giggle. They faced each other and burst out laughing.
“She’s going to be a handful, I just know it,” Jon said, laughing.
Jon headed toward the other door. “I’ll get her one of the lounge outfits. Cece said they’d be hanging up by now.”
“I’ll stay here.”
Jon closed the door behind him. He smiled all the way down to the kitchen. He could never remember being this happy and was determined to make her just as happy.
