Chapter 13 #2
“There is a hard drive in the back. We don’t have live service, we never needed it. We rarely stay here.” Before turning on my side. Halfway through the movie, Theo starts a fire in the fireplace before coming back and sliding in behind me wrapping his arm around me.
I can't even stay up the entire movie. I pass out in his embrace. I wake when a familiar pair of warm hands lift me up. I’m too tired to vent my frustrations out on Tobias.
Instead, I snuggle into him. His manly scent fills my nose.
He dips his head into the crook of my neck, inhaling my aroma and gently kissing my throat where he'd hurt me before. I keep still; he is going to have to work and fucking apologize before I’m willingly sweet to him. Not after the shit he put me through.
Tobias kisses my fingers before his lips caressed mine.
Sucking my bottom lip into his mouth. I continue to play asleep right up to the moment he lightly bites me.
I pop my eyes open while his twinkle down at me.
The bite had done something to me I didn't want to admit. I glare at him before I look away.
Tobias pulls back and sniffs the air. I blush through my glare.
Do they have to do that? It’s bad enough I feel the wetness between my thighs.
These stupid men have turned me into a kinky pervert.
My sex drive is so out of whack it is becoming ridiculous.
Tobias smirks before kissing my forehead but doesn't put me down.
“Where is Theo?” I ask when I see the couch is Theo-less.
“Cooking dinner,” Tobias answers, striding us into the kitchen.
Theo is busy cooking some pasta dish. My stomach growls at the scent of butter and cheeses melding with the meat.
I shake my sleepiness off. Food comes first. Tobias places me on a stool before going to help Theo.
He takes off his suit jacket, placing it on the back of a chair before rolling his shirt sleeves to his elbows.
If I want these two, they'd both be mine. It’s a heady kind of feeling knowing I have that kind of power. And I also have the power to hurt them.
“Mmm, someone smells nice.” I glanced at Theo, but from his darkened eyes, I know he is referring to me.
I press my legs together and the dampness of my panties from Tobias biting me, rubbing against my flesh.
Theo comes over, his hand grabbing my breast through my shirt and pinches my nipple.
He kisses my cheek while I deal with the random assault.
“Keep smelling like that and the only thing I will be eating is you,” he whispers before pulling my hair, forcing me to look up at him.
His cold lips crash down on mine. Like we haven't just fooled around at the lagoon.
Though, in that case he'd been the only one to not get any pleasure.
I must have been cruel to him. He sucked my tongue into his mouth before biting down on my lip.
My stomach tightens, and my juices spilled onto my thighs, arousal coursing through my entire body.
It isn't fair they can do this so easily to me.
“Theo, leave her be. You can play with her after dinner,” Tobias scolds.
He places three plates on the table. I’m no longer hungry.
I want something else, and it isn’t food.
No matter how mad I get at them, no matter how much I believe one or both are ruining my life, I can't fight the attraction. I pout when Theo moves away, sitting opposite me. Tobias sits next to me, squeezing my thigh hard. “Eat.” I rolled my eyes at him for ruining our fun. Tobias grips my chin making me look at him. “I think it’s about time you drop that attitude you have.” I swallow, and he notices, his lips turning up slightly.
He kisses me softly at first. Lips exploring mine before viciously biting my lip hard between his teeth.
“Now eat without the attitude.” He lets my chin go and I fight the urge to say something snarky back, but I can tell he knows I’m holding my tongue.
Theo has the nerve to smirk my way. I glare daggers at him.
After dinner, I wash the dishes and follow them back out to the living room.
Tobias left for a few minutes and came back with wood for the fire, stacking the timber in and stoking it.
I drop onto the couch and flick through the movies.
I'll finish the one I fell asleep on later.
I chose a movie after a lot of serious thought, The Conjuring.
“You want to watch a horror?” ask Theo, his eyebrow slowly rising. He doesn't exactly look like he believes me.
“Hey, I like horrors, I just don’t like going to bed afterward,” I defend myself with a glare at him. Theo shakes his head before holding his arms out for me. I nestle into his embrace. Tobias sits on my other side, an arm flung around the back of the couch.
I jump a few times during the movie, making Tobias and Theo laugh as my heart hammers in my chest. Tobias even waits for the movie to build suspense before taking great pleasure in grabbing me, scaring the living daylights out of me.
Halfway through, I need to pee. I glance at the stairs a few times.
This old house is as intimidating as the one in the movie, with its dark shadows.
I wriggle a bit trying to hold my bladder.
“What’s wrong? Stop wiggling,” Theo said.
“I need to pee."
Tobias stares over at me. “Then go pee.”
Sighing in defeat and the sheer lack of understanding from them, I stand and creep to the stairs.
All the lights are off, and I can’t see the top of the stairs, only more shadows.
I gulp. I really don’t love the idea of going up there alone right now.
I glance over at the two, and they see me put a foot on the step then take it down and clutch the railing.
One of the two vultures laughs at me.
Theo's lips twitched, eyes sparkling. "What's wrong? I thought you liked horrors. Are you scared?"
“No,” I answer defiantly but my heart rate gives me away. I force myself up a step and freeze again and peek over the railing at them. “Can one of you come with me please?” I all but whisper my words. I can't do it.
Tobias gets to his feet first, laughter dancing in his voice. “I thought you said you weren’t scared.”
“I’m not, it’s just dark up there,” I take another step, stopping halfway when I don't feel him behind me. He stands on the bottom step, arms folded, and an amused expression on his face.
“Tobias,” I squeak in a plea. Can't he for once take my side and try to help me?
“You’re in a house with a vampire and a werewolf and that doesn't scare you, but a movie does,” he states, trotting up the steps behind me.
I let the little breath I’m holding out. He isn't going to force me to go along after all. “Yeah, but you’re not scary,” I answer with a wave of my hand. They aren't scary most of the time, anyway.
When I reach the second floor, Theo jumps out of the shadows.
“Boo!” I scream and race to the bathroom, slamming the door behind me, heart threatening to jump out of my chest. I hear their laughter on the other end and glare at the door wishing I could burn it down.
Assholes. I quickly pee and wash my hands. Then I see them waiting for me.
"How did you even get up here first?" I demand of Theo, smacking his arm.
"There's stairs on the other end of the house leading up here." He smirks. He holds his hand out to me. "But we still waited for you. Wouldn't want you to get all scared on the return trip back. We've got that movie to watch and the sequel."
"Sequel?" I whisper. I didn't signed up for that.
"Sure," Tobias replies with a grin, slinging an arm around my shoulders. "It would be a crime to watch the first and not continue on. Come."
I do my best to bite back the sobs that want to escape and trail after the two to my doom.
I can't tell you what time it is when the movie is finally over. I’m exhausted, but there is no way in hell I’m going anywhere without my bodyguards.
"We need to head to bed soon, I have work in the morning.
" Tobias leans over me, staring into my eyes. Is this an order?
Tobias gets to his feet, heading to the bedroom.
I don't waste time following him. I don't want to piss him off again, he'd terrorized me twice today and my heart can't take another dose of fear.
I climb into the bed while Tobias peels off his shirt and climbs next to me. His heat instantly envelops me.
Theo turns on a small lamp and grabs another of Maria Warren's books before lying beside me. "You're reading more?" I blurt.
He smiled at me. "I find your reading choices interesting. Cat boys?" I glance away from him but he continues his soft smile. "Besides, vampires don't sleep."
I furrow my brows. "But I saw you sleep." There is no way I was mistaken.
"That wasn't quite sleep. It was a trance, which I suppose resembles it." He leans over, kissing my forehead. "Rest."
Tobias yawns and stretches before grabbing me and cuddling against my back. His arm curves around my body, groping my breast and fiddling with my nipple. "Sleep."
I’m not quite done with this Theo discussion yet. “What do you mean, trance?"
“Well, it’s kind of like being trapped in your own thoughts. You don’t realize time is even passing,” he explains, voice soft so as not to disturb Tobias.
I can't even wrap my mind around that concept. Stuck inside it? I’m my biggest critic! It would be torture. "How long does it last?" I want to ask him so much about it but doubt Tobias will let me since he continues to pluck at my hardening nipples.
Theo settles the book on his chest, staring at the wall, gaze calculating. "I believe my longest was a month. Tobias pulled me out of it."
“A month?” How lonely. I reach out and draped my free arm across his lap. It doesn’t take long before I fall asleep.
