Chapter 22
Chapter Twenty-Two
The next few days pass in a blur until it is Wednesday, and Tobias and Theo have been stressing about some document that was supposed to arrive at the house and never did.
Sitting up in bed I stretch out, only to find Theo and Tobias are no longer with me, the shower running and arousal pulses through the bond making my heart rate quicken.
Getting up, I swing my legs over the side of the bed and stand.
I head toward the bathroom door where Tobias groans, lost in his own ecstasy with Theo.
So greedy. A lazy smile turns my lips up.
I know what they are up to, and I’m not about to let them get off without me.
Not after everything they've put me through.
Reaching for the handle, I turn it slowly, opening the door as quietly as I can which must have worked because neither of them hear or look in my direction, as I leaned on the door frame watching them. Maybe I am greedy, too.
Tobias has his back pressed against the tiled wall in the shower, his eyes closed, and lips parted.
His hand is buried in Theo’s hair. Theo is on his knees in front of Tobias.
The water runs down his back, one of his hands curled around Tobias’s hip to keep his balance.
The other braced on the wall beside him.
Tobias's hand grips tighter into Theo's hair until it is a fist. Theo growls and it vibrates through me.
I cross my legs, their arousal and lust sweeping over me like an ocean wave.
Tobias doesn't hold back with Theo, either.
He thrusts hard into Theo's mouth, hard and fast and without any pity.
Thrusting himself until his balls hit Theo's face, he finally stills, and his release washes over me. Theo rises from the ground pressing himself into Tobias and kissing him hard while Tobias’s hand goes to his hip, pulling him closer.
I clear my throat. Both turn to look at me with my arms fold across my chest, leaning against the doorframe.
Tobias smirks at me, licking his lips. Theo opens the shower door and smiles at me.
“We knew you were there, we could smell your arousal the moment you opened the door,” Theo says, reaching out and grabbing the front of his shirt I’m wearing and pulling me into the shower.
I shriek at the cold water. It’s barely lukewarm.
My shirt becomes drenched as he pulls me under the stream of water, the shirt sticking to me.
Tobias adjusts the temperature, and I relax under the hot stream.
Theo peels the shirt off that was acting as a second skin.
He tosses over the shower screen before gripping my hips and lifting me, my arms wrapping around his neck as he presses me against the shower wall, which is fucking freezing earning another yelp from me as my back comes in contact with the cold tiles.
They both chuckle. Theo moves before pressing me against Tobias's chest which is always unnaturally warm. Tobias grunts at the impact.
“Better?” Tobias whispers into the crook of my neck. I leaned my head back on his shoulder and kiss the bottom of his jaw, nuzzling against him.
“Much better.” Theo’s lips move to my collar bone nipping at the skin, as he slowly makes his way up to my throat, then to my chin.
I lift my head off Tobias’s shoulder and kiss Theo's questing lips. He growls biting down on my bottom lip hard enough I taste the metallic of my own blood in my mouth, before his tongue sooths his bite. I moan against his lips and my legs tighten around his waist. Tobias’s hands grip my hips.
When a different urge surged through the bond, one that definitely isn’t mine.
The need for blood and the overwhelming urge to feed.
Tobias tenses slightly. His arms go between Theo and me and wrapped around my stomach.
“Theo, careful,” Tobias growls. Theo freezes, his fangs grazing my shoulder, making me shiver and desire runs through me.
I want him to bite me, to fill his every need, to use me.
These aren't all my desires, but that doesn't make me want them any less. Theo pauses, glancing up, his eyes no longer their beautiful green, but a demonic red. He shakes his head, struggling to get his bearings and control back. I run my hand under the black veins under eyes that twitch and ripple beneath his skin. His lips part, and I see just how sharp his fangs are. I can’t remember the last time I saw Theo feed.
No, wait. I did. I swallow, remembering all the pain he's caused before he'd been lost. I shudder. I don't want that to happen again.
That time he hurt me on purpose, but the other times it hadn't hurt.
I know that, but I can't stop shaking. Theo watches me, alert eyes flicking over my movements.
His eyes are still crimson, but uncertain, hurt even.
I grab my hair, swishing it to the side, exposing my neck to him.
He stares at it, then up at Tobias, a question in his eyes.
“You don’t have to,” Tobias says behind me, his grip around my stomach tightening.
“I want to,” I tell Theo. I trust him, despite everything.
He looks uncertain still and doesn’t move, his hands running up my thighs before he steps closer.
His breath fans my neck which makes me shiver.
He stops and kisses my jaw instead, lips brushing against my jawline, before he pulls my face to his.
His erection grinds against me, but his fear of hurting me throbs through the bond.
I wriggle my hips and he pushes up, his cock burying itself in me making me moan out.
Tobias's lips go to my shoulder and I move in motion with Theo as he pulls out before ramming back in. I tilted my head offering my neck once again to Theo, this time he doesn’t hesitate, and the sharp pain of fangs break my skin before he thrusts inside harder making me relax.
I moan, and his initial bite no longer hurts.
Instead it turns to euphoria as he drinks from me.
His tongue lapping against my skin while he sucks.
He bites down again, harder, making my blood rush into his mouth, a trickle runs down my shoulder and over my breast making my nipples harden.
The high of his bite floods me with arousal as I grind against him.
Theo grips my hips moving them faster, and my orgasm builds before I’m shoved over the edge, my walls clenching around his hard length burying deep inside me.
He goes still as I ride out my orgasm obviously finding his own.
I slump back against Tobias, and he kisses the side of my face.
Theo pulls his mouth away from my neck, his fangs slowly retracting.
I smile lazily at him, and he kisses me softly.
I can taste my own blood on his lips when he pulls away, his cock slipping from my body, but he doesn’t let go of my hips, instead, he pulls me against him, so my head rests on his shoulder, and my arms draped heavily over his.
Tobias moves behind me and opens the door hopping out of the shower.
He snatches a towel wrapping it around his hips.
Theo let me slide down his body, but he keeps a good grip on me as I touch the ground, and the world swims around me.
How much blood has he taken? I’m light-headed.
His hand around my waist is the only thing keeping me upright, and I lean my head on his chest. He washes me, rubbing the loofah softly over my skin.
“It will settle, I think I fed longer than I should have,” he says with a kiss to my hair. His worry eats away at me through the bond. The room is righting itself as the dizziness subsides. My legs no longer are jelly.
“I’m okay, it’s fine, Theo,” I say, peering up and running my fingers through his chest hair. His hypnotic eyes stare down at me. He kisses my nose.
“I will feel better once you eat. Come on, let's hop out,” he says, pulling me out of the shower. Theo takes a towel and wraps it around me before grabbing his own. He puts his hands on my shoulders to make sure I’m still steady, as I step into the bedroom.
Tobias is putting his suit on. Oh, they are going back to work again.
“She looks a little pale, Theo,” Tobias growls. His eyes are narrowed on Theo. I’m used to not happy Tobias, and this one is fuming.
“I’m fine, I promise.” I hold my hands up, ready to wave off his concerns.
“I will go make her something to eat,” he says storming out of the room.
“Really, I’m fine,” I tell Theo. I sit on the bed.
Tobias has pulled one of my blouses out and black slacks.
What? I look at them before looking at Theo.
No, I couldn't put too much hope into this. I’m not going to!
“I can come to work?” I hate how trembly my voice is.
How desperate I sound, and just how much joy explodes through me like a string of fireworks blasting through me.
Theo nods before bending and kissing my lips softly.
“Yes, Tobias and I were talking last night. We are giving you your freedom back. Just please don’t run off or go too far away from us.
” I nod. I don’t care as long as I can leave the house.
“Tobias has also arranged for someone to come out today to put in a landline and the internet. It should be all installed by the time we get home.” Finally, internet.
God only knows how much I missed on my reading platforms. I’m going to be reading for weeks to catch up.
I get dressed fast, terrified they'll change their mind on me and then stroll into the bathroom. Theo still lingers, making sure I’m not about to drop dead on them.
I quickly do my make-up and am surprised when Theo picks up the hair straightener that is plugged in next to me.
He clicks the tongs together while I’m doing my eyeliner.
I raise an eyebrow at him. I try to grab it from him.
I don't need to end up with my hair fried.
“Let me try,” he says, pulling it away from me. I stand straight while he picks up the brush and uses it to pick up some of my hair before clamping the hair straightener on it. I flinch, waiting for the stench of burned hair to fill my nostrils.
“Don’t burn my hair off,” I warn him. It doesn’t help matters when he snickers behind me.
He clamps it on the next piece, and still no fire.
Maybe he can do this? I return to my makeup.
Theo finishes doing my hair and inspects his handy work.
I nod at him in approval, and he kisses my shoulder, winking at our reflection.
Heading downstairs, I smell the delicious aroma of freshly brewed coffee.
I sit at the bench and Tobias places a plate of pancakes in front of me covered in various berries and syrup.
My stomach rumbles just from the sight of it.
I dig in suddenly feeling ravenous. Each fluffy bite is heaven to my tongue.
When we finish eating, Tobias grabs my handbag and phone from upstairs and we trot toward the garage.
I hop in the passenger side and Theo slips into the back.
We drive to work and pull up in the garage.
Tom waits for us as we get out of the car next to the elevator.
He waves upon seeing me, a grin lighting up his face.
He’s okay! Tobias really hadn't killed him.
I walk up and wrap my arms around him, giving him a hug.
Tom wears a suit instead of his cleaning scrubs and looks quite professional.
Theo and Tobias come up behind us and Tom nods to both of them.
“Did any documents get dropped off while we were off?” asks Theo.
“No, are you talking about the…?” Theo cuts him off with a growl.
I think it is strange but whatever Tom is about to say dies on his lips.
“No documents have been dropped in,” he replies, staring at Theo.
My eyebrows furrow and I wonder what the documents are that clearly Tobias and Theo don’t want me to know about.
But I’m really surprised those two planned to keep more secrets from me.
“What documents? Maybe they have been emailed. I can check when we get upstairs.” I offer with what I hope is a mild smile to calm everyone down.
“No, these would have to be officially dropped off,” Tobias says tugging me toward the entrance. Theo shoots Tom a look.
“I might go check the emails just in case,” Theo says, taking off up the stairs next to the elevator.
“I could have checked when we got upstairs, what’s so important about these documents, anyway?” I ask Tobias.
“Nothing that concerns you, but they are supposed to have been dropped off at the house by now.” I wonder what the documents are but mentioning them did remind me that tomorrow I was supposed to go to the council and have some tests run and meet the people who were going to decide my future.
The nerves I'd forgotten about attack me tenfold. A nest of rats chewing at my guts, making my stomach clench. Tobias presses the button in the elevator for our floor before peering down at me. “What’s wrong, love?” he asks while I chew my nails.
It is a terrible nervous habit. Tobias pulls my thumb away from my lips. “What’s wrong?” he asks again.
“Nothing, I just realized I have to meet the council tomorrow.”
He pulls me against him, wrapping his arms around my shoulder. “You will be fine, no one will hurt you. I promise.”
When we step out of the elevator, I’m shocked to see Theo’s mother, Caroline, waiting in the foyer talking to Theo. Is this more bad news? Despite his earlier words of comfort, I can't get over my nerves.
“What are you doing here, Ma?” Tobias asks as he steps out of the elevator.
“Good morning, Imogen, son. We have a slight problem; the council wants to meet today. We need to leave after lunch.”
“Where’s Dad?” Tobias asks, glancing around. Josiah isn’t here, only Caroline.
“He is sorting out your other issues, they are being quite difficult.”
Both Theo and Tobias growl, Theo’s eyes darkening to the demon I was becoming too accustomed to. “When time do we leave?” Tobias demands.
“We have to meet them at two.”
Tobias nods, while I stand there shaking, fear consuming me and something else.
I’m not sure what it is, but I feel like something is slightly amiss.
I just have a feeling something is going to happen, and I’m not going to like it.
Then again, I’m getting used to this feeling since these men cause it daily.
