Chapter Two

Aksel

“So, Aksel, the tattoo community is relatively small,

yet you’ve made quite a name for yourself in a very short time. If I’m not mistaken, this is your first time applying to the show. How does it feel to be accepted into Tattoo Spectacle: Season Six?”

“I’m thrilled to be here,” Aksel says, his smile calm and effortless, confidence radiating from him. “Competing against some of the greatest artists in the world is an honor.”

“Have you met any of the artists participating this year?”

“Yes, actually.” A flicker of excitement breaks through his composed facade. “I went to school with Hale Aka.”

“Well, isn’t that nice?” The interviewer’s tone turns faintly condescending. “A little reunion in the big city.”

“Yeah,” Aksel replies easily. “Vegas is a long way from West Texas, but I’m liking it so far. I might even set up shop here and never leave. Who knows what the future holds?”

He winks at the camera, chuckling when the cyclops interviewing him visibly swoons.
