Chapter 32
CHAPTER 32
MCKINLEY
M icky
It’s Friday.
A few days had passed since we became a cat family.
In that time, One had attacked police officers, pissed exclusively in Griffin’s shoes, and bit any of us when we tried to sleep with Clover.
That cat was an asshole.
An asshole who our Omega treated like a child. She cooed lovingly over it and peppered it with kisses that we all were jealous of.
Aside from the demon cat, life was settling in quite well for our pack.
The police had talked to all of us about Pack Weaver. Bryce had been the only one they had spoken too. He had told the officers that his pack was officially courting Marcus. Something that the backstabbing Omega had agreed with and verified.
Pack Weaver was planning to relocate closer. Since Bryce had an ungodly amount of money, it was possible to do. Apollo had asked that he not be allowed near Clover and the police had said that they could inform him of the distance he was allowed near her. The officer had also made a comment that almost got his throat ripped out when he suggested marking our Omega so that it would make it harder for people to bother her.
It also made us wonder how long does courting go before we can bond with Clover?
“We’re still playing a game. Daydream about Clover between periods.” Vaughn is joking as he skates by me..
Making actual jokes.
He is also a smug bastard because in the stands is Clover, wearing his jersey. Her cheeks are still painted with a 13 and 40 for Griffin and me. On her back is 33 for Vaughn and he is not going to let us forget it.
Not that we could forget a lot of what’s going on with them. It had been burned in my nose when he had her wearing his cum the day of Catgate.
I slashed the back of his calves with my stick as he skated away, scowling after him.
Clover didn’t play favorites, but Apollo and I had agreed to slow down sex. Griffin and Vaughn had no problem making our Omega come, but we wanted to share her the first time. It was important that she saw our relationship as well as became a part of it as well.
There would be plenty of time for one on one time in the forever we had planned to share with her.
Looking up, I see Clover sitting next to the box. Her eyes on me. She waves and I catch the glimmer of her bracelets. My heart goes into my throat at the sight of them.
To other people it’s just jewelry, but we know it’s a sign that she is ours.
Apollo left last night to fly out for his away games. Clover had held onto him, kissing him a dozen times and promising that she would call him everyday. It was the first time that I saw Apollo look at someone with love like that. Sure, he loved me and always would. It didn’t change that the Omega and him were also going to have a love story of their own to share.
I was more than excited to see it unfold.
A puck whizzed by me, landing in the net behind me. Griffin pinged the post with the tip of his stick.
“If I get a hat trick tonight Clover said I could shower with her when we get home and that she would wash me.” Showering was code for oral sex.
I don’t know who either of them were trying to fool. We could smell the scent of them together. It was so strong when he was going down on her that even washing couldn’t distract from that.
When I looked back at Clover, imagining her on her knees in the shower in front of Griffin I froze.
Oh no.
Oh no.
This is bad. This is so bad.
My eyes snap to look for Vaughn, seeing him going down to the ice to stretch. Griffin skating over to him and dropping on the ice beside him.
They were going to look up to stare at Clover. And when they did that, they would see who was sitting behind her and lose their minds. Because out of all the places to sit in the stadium Vaughn’s father had decided to show up for this game and sit behind our Omega.
If that wasn’t bad enough, sitting besides him was Terry. A small bump showing from where she carried the other man's pup.
Why would they come here?
I skated out of the crease and showered Vaughn and Griffin in a spray of ice. Both of them made a sound, wiping at their faces as I tried to figure out what to do.
Why did Apollo have to be gone for this game?
“Coach wants us to go down the Zamboni exit. Said something about a pregame presser. Come on.” I see Vaughn go to look up and hit his helmet with my stick, “Clover just went to the bathroom. It’s the perfect time. We can see her in a couple minutes when we come back on the ice”
We skate towards the side and are let out by the ice crew. As Vaughn walks on the mat in front of us, I grab Griffin.
“His dad’s here with Terry. And by here I mean sitting right behind our Omega.” The look that he gives me is terrifying.
To be loved and cared for by Griffin is an absolute force. He may seem like an idiot fuck boy, but he loves so deeply nothing breaks it.
He turns back towards the ice.
“Where are you going?” I hiss.
“I’m going to beat the fuck out of him. And when I’m done I’m going to see if Clover wants popcorn.” He steps out on the ice before I can stop him.
Shit .
This is not going how I expected. It’s all getting out of hand so quickly.
“Where is the press?” Vaughn’s voice distracts me and I turn, headed back towards him.
“I must have gotten it wrong. Let’s just head to the locker room. Pregame skate is about to be done anyway.” Or as far away from the trouble as possible.
Somehow I didn’t know if we would ever get far enough away from it. It seemed that as soon as one thing got fixed another problem sprang up.
How long would it be until all the fires of our life were put out?
