EPILOGUE

SIX MONTHS LATER

FALLON

I take a deep breath as I look around my greenhouse. It’s not a lab, not yet, but it’s a good start. I have flowers starting to grow, ones that I’ll be able to use for fragrance extractions later. Every plant that sprouts and grows feels like an accomplishment.

There’s so much promise in this space.

And I’ll never question where the materials I’m using to blend perfume is coming from. I’m growing them with my own time and love. That is the kind of luxury I can get behind.

I don’t know whether I’ll ever really produce a perfume or not, but the clean room that Hutch is intent on building off the back of the greenhouse will allow me to be more than capable of it. I don’t need anything too fancy because I won’t be dabbling in virtually impossible extractions; I’ll keep it simple. The way he’s thrown himself into building this space for me has made me fall in love with him more and more every day.

As I pull off my gloves, done for the day, my gaze immediately goes to the ring on my finger. It’s a gorgeous diamond that always sparkles in the sun. Or, maybe, it sparkles because of how much love it contains.

Once the snow thawed after the storm that swept through, he took me down the mountain for the first time. The last thing I expected was to arrive back at our cabin and have a ring slipped on my finger.

I squeaked, “What’s this?”

“My ring,” he told me, a smirk on his face. “I hated having to wait for the snow to clear so we could go down the mountain and pick it up.”

“You had it waiting for you?” It was a silly question since I had been at his side the entire time he picked up his mail and we restocked our supplies.

“Of course I did,” he said it like it was no big deal.

You know, just having a ring delivered and waiting for you is totally normal.

A gorgeous ring that made my eyes water and my heart pound in my chest because I knew what he was asking. Well, not asking really.

But could I expect anything else from my man?

“I don’t think I need to say yes,” I teased him.

“Why?” His eyes flashes with amusement. “Because I didn’t ask you?”

I made a humming sound, and his face smoothed out, a serious expression taking over his face. I knew that look; it was intense as hell. He was about to sweep me off my feet.

I couldn’t wait.

“Fallon,” he rasped, “you’re my everything. You arrived on my mountain without any warning, and you completely changed my life. I’m so damn happy that Blake brought you here. I will protect you and make you happy until my last breath.”

“Yes,” I breathed out, “I’ll marry you.”

“I didn’t get to that part yet, Beautiful,” he teased me with a smirk on his tempting lips.

“Don’t need you too,” I shook my head emphatically, tears welling up in my eyes, “the answer was always going to be yes.”

He pulled me into his chest and that feeling of peace I always feel when I’m near him, the one I found on his mountain, seemed to grow. He didn’t wait long to marry me, flying Dad out to meet us in Vegas. What I didn’t know was that Blake and his giant family were going to be there at a tattoo convention.

Talk about being welcomed with open arms. Being surrounded by people who became family in a matter of minutes made my wedding even more special.

“You done playing in the dirt, wife,” Hutch’s voice has me spinning toward him and grinning from ear to ear.

His long strides eat up the distance between us quickly. And then I’m in his arms. Right where I belong.

When his lips meet mine, the fire between us ignites. It always does and I’m always more than happy for it to consume me. I know Hutch feels the same way.

I sass him, “Would it matter if I weren’t done?”

He grins down at me, his hazel eyes sparkling with mirth, “Nope. I need you.”

I melt into his chest, my body molding to his like it always does as my pussy floods with my arousal. He carries me back into our cabin, his strength taking my breath away. My hands grip his shoulders, and I hold on even though I know he would never drop me.

“Need to be inside of you,” he rasps and my thighs clench at the feeling of desire that flows through my body.

I know he’ll be making me soar amongst the clouds soon. That’s the way it always is with us. I hope it always is.
