Chapter Eighteen #2

I pull my fingers free for a moment, sucking them in my mouth to taste her pussy juices for the first time.

“Mm, so delicious,” I comment, then push my hand back inside her panties.

My fingers trail through her pussy lips, moving back and forth, nudging her clit a couple of times until she’s writhing with need.

Once I have her on the cusp, I press inside her entrance.

She cries out with the motion, her pussy spasming like crazy as she climaxes, her pussy flooding my hand with her desire.

“So perfect,” I compliment. “Are you sure this is what you want? We can stop right now, and I will still feel like the luckiest guy in the world.”

“I’m more than sure,” she shifts, shoving up her shirt until it’s completely off, and she tosses to toward the couch.

I tug her underwear off, and then we’re both naked, lying beside each other and incredibly turned on.

I’ve never wanted a woman so bad in my entire life before right now.

“My pussy’s all messy for you, you better clean it up. ”

“Mm,” I hum with delight, and then I’m shifting below the blankets and between her thighs, desperate to show her just how much she means to me.

I’m suddenly woken up, pulled from a deep, sated sleep.

I’d already woken up several times throughout the night to check on the fire, and each time I did, I also took the opportunity to pleasure Winter in a different way.

I could’ve stayed up all night long, but after so many times of her shouting my name, while her thighs vibrated in satisfaction, I had to give her a break.

And, after the last time, she’d drifted off, yawning because I’d worn her completely out.

An intense feeling of satisfaction like no other filled my chest, and then I was out like a light, having the best dreams about the woman lying beside me.

I lift my head, glancing around the room, as I listen for what could’ve woken me up.

The last log I put on the fire is about half the size it was initially, so I guess I could add another.

I carefully shift my body away, trying not to wake up Winter, but that feat is nearly impossible as the noise I must’ve heard before becomes louder.

I can’t tell what it is, but the strange sound grows louder and louder.

It’s a cross between thump-thump and perhaps, whirring?

“Mm, what is that?” Winter sleepily grumbles.

“I don’t know. I’m going to check,” I whisper and get to my feet. The chill instantly hits my exposed skin as the blanket drops, and I no longer have our shared body heat to help keep me warm. We definitely need another log on the fire; it’s way too chilly in here after all.

I hurry to the window as the sound becomes even louder, and I shove the quilt to the side.

The window’s frosted up too much to see out, so I hurry to the next.

It’s not as bad, thankfully, and I manage to see through the very middle of one of the panes.

The light outside is at the weird stage where there’s no sun, but you know it must be morning.

It’s overcast and dim, with white everywhere.

I bet the kids in the village are taking full advantage of this, and there will be new snowmen built all through Tree Top Lane.

It’s rare we have a full-on blizzard before Christmas.

Usually just some random snowfall, but maybe this was fate stepping in to give me another shot with Winter.

I glance at David’s truck, noting how high the snow is on the side of the truck.

It snowed feet, not inches. I’m guessing we’ll be getting even more today with the way it looks outside.

I know one thing for certain: I’m not going to be able to chop down another tree, so I’ll have to try to unbury the one in the bed of the truck, and hope I can get enough of the snow off on the porch so it doesn’t create a huge mess in the house later when Winter is ready to decorate.

As I’m staring out into the open area, my eyes widen in shock. “No way,” I murmur, not believing what I’m seeing, as a helicopter slowly lowers to the ground.

“What is it?” Winter calls groggily, sitting up.

She reaches over to the couch for her neat stack of discarded items and begins pulling her clothes on.

While I hate seeing all of that perfect creamy skin being covered up, it’s probably a good idea right now because I have no idea what’s happening at the moment.

I follow her lead and hurry over to my discarded pile of clothes on the floor, tugging them on. “You’re not going to believe this, but a helicopter just landed outside.”

“Like on the farm? I hope my mom is okay!”

“No, a helicopter landed right in front of the cabin.”

“You’re joking…” She trails off, and I shake my head.

I race to the door, thinking there’s only one person who would actually get a helicopter for me right now. However, I don’t know how it’s possible when no one knows my actual location. With that in mind, I’m just as confused and curious as Winter is at the moment.

Sure enough, a few minutes later, my agent, Spencer, jumps out of the helicopter.

He’s smiling widely as he attempts to make his way through the deep snow to the front door.

He’s not dressed for this weather. Which tells me he was probably picked up outside his office or somewhere just as warm, and then rode straight over here, keeping out of the brunt of the cold.

“Spencer?” I say by greeting, with my brows raised and an amused smirk lifting my lips.

“Spruce! My guy! How’s it going?”

I quickly glance behind me, making sure Winter is indeed fully clothed, before meeting his stare again. “How did you find me?”

“I tracked your phone. I knew sharing our location with each other would come in handy one day. I’m glad it’s only the snow getting in the way this time, and not you being gagged and kidnapped by some crazed fan. We got lucky.” He replies in all seriousness.

With a huff, I point out. “It’s early. I thought you wanted me to get some rest.”

He nods. “I know, and we need to get out of here. I wouldn’t have come if it wasn’t important, so let’s go.”

“I can’t just leave, I’m with someone.”

“Well, champ, we have to. The chopper wasn’t cheap, my friend, and time is running out.” His brows raise as he silently implicates the important discussion we had yesterday about my future in hockey.

I sigh. Loudly. I know this is important. However, the last thing I want to do is leave Winter this soon after we shared our special night.

“We need to drop Winter off at her family’s house before I can go anywhere else. I won’t leave her here without my protection.”

His eyes widen, “Winter?”

I nod. I’d briefly told him about her when he first became my agent.

We were seeing a lot of each other back then since I was a rookie, and he’d asked why I wasn’t married.

I’d confided in him that there was only one woman I’d wanted to get serious with, but I’d let her go so she could forge her own future before I overtook it with mine.

“Her family owns the farm we’re on, but her parents’ house is a few miles away.”

“Okay, yeah. Grab her and anything else you need. We’ll drop her off first, then we can discuss the business that can’t wait any longer.”

I turn to let Winter know we’ve got a ride, but she’s already there behind me, with her boots on and jacket in hand.

“I heard him, Sean. We need to put the fire out before we can leave. I already unplugged the heater, and I can come back once the snow isn’t so bad to put the blankets away and stuff. ”

“I’ll help you,” I offer, but she waves me off.

“Will you grab some snow to toss on the fireplace, please? You make sure that’s out, and I’ll put my jacket on. I can run around to the back to turn the generator off. It’s easy, just a switch to flip.”

“You got it.” I press a tender kiss on her forehead and then move for the bucket next to the fireplace.

I quickly tug on my jacket, then run outside to grab some snow.

We don’t have the time to wait around for the flames to die out on their own, so I grab a little to put the flames out, as I’m not trying to cause a melty mess.

Once that’s taken care of, I rush back outside in time to meet Winter as she comes around the side of the cabin.

“Fires out?”

“Yep, all taken care of.” I grab her hand, tucking her close as we head for the helicopter.
