Chapter 5 Becca
Since the night I slept with Diesel and Revenant, I haven’t been able to stop thinking about either of them.
Or Void. My stepbrother stroked his dick to me getting railed in nearly every way possible by two of his club brothers and closest friends.
That sure wasn’t the way someone acted when they thought of you as a sibling.
I heard my name as it tumbled from his lips like a prayer. The need and hunger in his eyes told me he wanted me on the same level as Diesel and Rev. I could have all three of them at once if I wanted. And I did.
But Void and I had to work through our issues before I would let him touch me.
He couldn’t keep controlling my life, watching me, and invading what little privacy I had.
Didn’t he realize that being a biker princess meant I was treated differently?
No one touched me before the other night.
No guys in high school would dare to ask me out.
The threat of violence had been real from my father, Hades, and the club.
In college, I had to find and date guys who didn’t know anything about Hocking Hills or biker clubs. And when I found someone I liked, they usually didn’t stick around for long. I had my suspicions that Void was the cause of it.
Maybe Diesel and Revenant stalked me as much as Void.
None of them had admitted shit to me. Of course.
So, being a biker princess had its drawbacks. The protection bit? I loved that I had a shadow. Just not that I lost my freedom in the process.
It had grown cold out, and the wind was brutal, dropping the temperatures to below zero. My teeth chattered as I buckled my seatbelt, checking out the window for Rev.
After he finished my tattoo, Rev suggested he follow me home.
A storm was approaching, and the town had already grown quiet.
I parked in the garage and let Revenant in, walking into the kitchen.
My arm was aching, sore, and felt bruised.
It stung on occasion and bumped against the fabric of my shirt.
“Hey, Rev, I’m going upstairs to change. The fabric rubbing this new ink is no fun.”
“Yeah, do that. Leave it bare. You need anything?” His brows drew together in concern.
I shook my head. “I’ll be fine.”
“You hungry?”
“Actually, yes.”
“How about I raid your fridge and find something to cook? I bet Void is hungry.”
What was he doing? Cooking for all of us, like . . . wait.
Was this about all of us fucking at the clubhouse? Because I wasn’t a club bunny looking to snag a member.
He kept his focus on the fridge, avoiding my direct line of sight.
“Diesel will be when he shows up.”
“Yeah,” Revenant agreed.
Ah, so this was sort of planned. Okay. We could see how it went. I certainly wasn’t opposed to more orgasms with my bikers.
Shit. It wasn’t like that. They weren’t mine.
Did I want them to be? Well, yes.
I stepped close to kiss Rev’s cheek. “Thank you.”
“Of course, B. B.”
“You’re going to tell me what that means soon.”
He snorted. “Maybe.”
I rushed up the stairs, flinging off clothing on the way to the bathroom. If I was going to have Rev and Diesel between my legs all night, I needed a hot shower and to shave. I didn’t mean to take as long as I did, lingering under the waterfall showerhead and enjoying the hot water on my skin.
By the time I had applied lotion, freshened my makeup, and changed into a comfy outfit with a matching pink shirt and lounge pants, I realized I had been up here for an hour. Below me, I could hear voices. Three, to be exact.
They weren’t quiet or hiding their conversation.
“What did Hades say?” Rev asked. He sounded worried.
“Nothing changes. Plan stays the same,” Diesel answered.
What plan? Club business?
“We should tell her,” Void announced.
“Tell her what?” Rev asked. Now he sounded agitated.
“She deserves to know the truth,” Void insisted.
“What truth is that?” Diesel asked, his tone growing hostile. “That you lied to her? That the cameras are still in her room, and you watch them?”
What!?
I huffed and walked to the top of the stairs, halting when I heard Void answer.
“I fucked up, and I’ll handle it with her, but Becca deserves to know the secrets we keep from her. If she knew that Hades ordered us to do it, she’d never forgive him.”
Wow.
“Or forgive us,” Rev added.
A part of me wanted to run down the stairs and call them out. What the hell did they know about me? What secrets?
Hades ordered them to keep it from me? Why?
“Man, I don’t like this. Not after what happened the other night.”
“And what do you think happened, Rev? Did you tell her anything or just fuck her and let her go?”
Void sounded pissed.
“Hey, fucker,” Rev growled. “Don’t poke at me. I’ll fucking kick your ass and have zero regrets.”
Void scoffed. “Shut the fuck up, Rev. Just because you’re a Marine vet doesn’t mean—”
I heard a noise like someone slamming a fist down on the counter. “Fuck off, both of you. Becca doesn’t need to hear this shit.”
I walked downstairs and paused at the edge of the kitchen. “Since none of you know how to keep your voices down, why don’t you tell me what this is all about?”
“It’s nothing.” Rev’s mask slipped into place. Stoic. Focused. Untouchable.
He was lying.
“Diesel?”
“Baby, we got this handled.”
At least he didn’t lie.
“Void?” Yeah, I had to ask. No one else would admit shit.
“Fuck, Blackbird. Don’t put me in a spot where I could say something that would hurt you.”
Hurt me? “Why would that happen?”
A sickening feeling began to form in my stomach. None of the guys answered me.
“Fine.” I pulled out my phone and dialed Hades.
He picked up fast. “Hey, sweet girl.”
“I think you should know that Rev, Diesel, and Void are all here at the house. They’ve been talking and let all your secrets slip, Hades. You really should have told me.”
He went quiet.
“Hades?”
“What are we talking about, Becca?”
“The plan. Secrets. Keeping everything from me. The fucking truth about me,” I spat, knowing he must have dug up something about my family because he would never keep secrets from me unless I was in danger.
Shit.
“I wanted to tell you about it. Bulldog begged me to keep his secret, sweet girl. He was more than a friend and brother in the club. He was my fucking family.”
What secret? I turned confused eyes to the trio of bikers who shook their heads.
“Hang up,” Void whispered. “Please, Becs.”
He never called me that. Only Sydney, my best friend, and my father. No one else.
“His secret.” I grew angry thinking about it. “That what? I’m not his child?”
It was a joke—a stab in the dark. I didn’t mean it when I said the words.
Three big, muscled men wearing leather paled.
I had guessed the secret.
“Becca.” Hades sounded tortured. “You weren’t supposed to find out.”
“Why? Because I’m too fragile? Just the daughter of a dead club member, but not patched in? Not good enough to learn the truth?”
My voice cracked on the last word, and I turned accusing eyes on Rev, Diesel, and Void.
“You all knew, and you kept it from me.”
No one denied it.
“I’m adopted.”
“Yeah, sweet girl, but that doesn’t change—”
I hung up on him.
“You are all liars,” I ground out with clenched teeth. “I trusted you. Gave myself to you.” I tapped my heart. “I fucking loved all of you.”
Tears filled my eyes, and I spun around, ignoring my phone as it rang. I didn’t have anything to say to Hades. Nothing that would be civil.
I fucking knew something was off. I felt it. It was the reason I went to talk to Hades in his office. And he fucking looked right into my eyes and lied.
I snatched my keys and purse and rushed into the garage, ignoring the guys as they tried to follow me.
Diesel tried to get inside and yanked on the handle, but I slammed the lock on all the doors. Not a single one of these liars could fix this right now.
Rev pounded on the window, but I wouldn’t look at him. I had to get out of here even if it meant I drove out into a snowstorm. Alone.
“Becca!” Void shouted. “Don’t! It’s getting icy out there!”
I didn’t care.
The garage door had lifted as they tried to stop me, and I backed out, slipping on the driveway before I slid onto the street. Since coming home from the tattoo parlor, the snow had steadily fallen, accumulating faster than I would have thought possible.
Snow was being dumped like God had a huge bucket and tipped it over onto the whole planet. Wind gusts pushed against my little SUV, and I had to grip the wheel hard to keep from sliding off the road.
This was probably the stupidest thing I’d ever done, but I had to get out of that house. Sydney would understand. I bet she would have done the same thing in my shoes.
She was spending the night at Clarise’s tonight to catch a break from the twins. The babies were six months old. She loved being a mother, but needed a girls’ night and time away from them once in a while. I could understand that.
They invited me, but I decided to spend the night with three assholes instead. I should have chosen differently.
That was why I headed toward Clarise’s house. I could stay there until I figured shit out.
Right now, I wasn’t sure how long that would be.
I didn’t care if it pissed off Hades, Diesel, Rev, Void, or the whole goddamn club.
