4. Bond, Rekindled #2

She let him fill her long before their bodies melded skin to skin. He was hard and hot, and sweet. Smooth and wet to the point of blind delirium. She moaned into his mouth, her arms wrapping around something she could never hope to fully embrace.

It was too much. He was too much. Radiating heat and mana and hunger like the sun itself. Taking over every piece of her world, even the ones she hadn’t realized meant anything.

“Kailorien,” she gasped. “Kail…I’ve wanted you for so long.”

“You are my breath, Auryn,” he answered. “That I ever let myself live so long without air is my greatest sin.”

He molded his lips with hers again. Just like water. Shaping. Forming. Breaking down her reason, piece by piece, until only pleasure remained. Only a pulsing hunger for more of him. They kissed and kissed and kissed. Two coals bringing each other back to life.

His tongue slipped against her lips—delicious, smooth, demanding. She whimpered, and his fingers caressed her jaw.

“Open wider,” he urged, and she took him in, letting him coax her mouth into pliant, languid submission as his tongue drove all her remaining thoughts into a deep and muted hush.

It was just him now.

Just his hands.

His fingers.

His breath.

He drank each of her moans like nectar—drunk on her need, reeling from the dizzying want soaking through the tether of their Bond.

For each edge he softened, she swelled with how hard she made him.

That he desired her this much—enough to lose his stoic shell, enough to shed it only for her—was euphoria.

His lips pressed sloppy kisses to every corner of her skin. Warming. Heating. Devouring. She bloomed in turn, a sapling aching for the only sun she’d ever known. His big hands held her as she arched, taking her delicate breast into his mouth with a groan.

He shuddered when she twisted, moaned, and pulled on his hair. Emboldened, he suckled her until she sobbed, then kissed away the ache until she begged for more. She tried to cover her mouth with her hand, but he laced his fingers with hers, kissing her wrist.

“No,” he murmured against her chest. “Let me hear how much you’ve wanted me.”

She shifted, whimpering, protesting against his patience in any way she could. Starved. Eager. Every inch of her aflame.

“Let me love you,” he breathed against her chest. “Let me shelter you.”

He’d hardly touched her, but she was already overwhelmed. After half a century of waiting for his worship, her body was ruined, broken from the longing. “Everywhere you touch. It burns like manaflames.”

“Let it burn,” he crooned between kisses. “I swear I’d never hurt you.”

His hand trailed down her stomach, pressing, stroking. He stopped at her hip—his hand spanning her entire belly—and lingered there, waiting. Never rushing. Never pushing. Circling his thumb as though casting a spell.

“Relax for me, little one. Trust me. I have you.”

She tried, but she ached for him, and the way his arousal pressed against her drove her wild. More kisses on her chest.

“Feel me. I’m yours, body and soul.”

His words and vows were hands picking up the broken pieces of her heart. His fingers were the promises that sealed them. Her body thrummed beneath his touch. He nuzzled his nose between her breasts, breathing her in like he could never get enough.

“My Auryn,” he sighed, stroking his way down her thigh.

He squeezed. Rasped his nails against her until she bucked with sensation. Then circled, touching her belly, her bare hips, tracing the line there with his fingers. Working her into a frenzy until she couldn’t help but beg.

“Kail,” she whined.

“Hmn?” He pulled back from her. “Yes, my Sovereign Star?”

“Touch me. I beg you…”

He chuckled against her neck, licking a thick, hot blaze up to her ear. She moaned as he massaged her earlobe with his lips, then pressed the soft bit of flesh between his teeth.

“Oh gods…Kail…please…”

“I live to serve,” he sighed.

His hand slid down, and a piercing euphoria sent her spiraling into the stars. His fingers slipped against her. Wet. Sticky. Dragging up then down. Between his lips and tongue and the motion of his hand, Auryn’s vision blurred and shattered.

The world spun and tilted, the ache inside her growing sharper. She squirmed when he rubbed his stubble against her shoulder. Goosebumps broke out across the right side of her body.

He kissed her jaw, her collarbone, the pulse thundering at the base of her throat.

A wet kiss against her ear. His tongue, laving at the pointed curve of it.

She keened when his finger found that spot then slipped inside, stretching, seeking.

Her body tensed, her nails raking down his shoulders as her mind fragmented into a thousand starscapes.

Again and again, her muscles pulsed with pleasure.

And all the while, he worked that finger in and out of her, as though riding out the wave.

Dizzy, she drifted, the world losing shape and form.

“Don’t leave me yet, sweetfire. You wanted me to take you, and I shall.”

Before she could fathom what was happening, she was flying into another crest. Everything distorted except the feeling of his lips, his breath, and his voice calling her name—a silky vibration in her ear.

It shook her, surrounded her, sank into the very marrow of her bones.

Her body shuddered as her wings gave way, and she sagged against his chest.

He kissed her as though soothing all her hurts, but the fire in her belly didn’t ease. His fingers kept moving. Rhythmic. Steady. Until she couldn’t help but buck her hips against him.

“More…” she begged, reaching out to feel his face, his hair, his big, steady shoulders. “Kail…I want more…”
