Chapter 10

TEN

Tunk

How the fuck did you miss this bit of information, nigga?

Because she didn’t tell you, fool.

Which was true and now I was more curious about why?

I was working and my personal shit had no business being here.

Yet, your personal shit is sitting there pretending to ignore you.

I smirked.

“Tunk, you don’t mind if we hang out for a little bit longer with the girls, do you?” Oakley asked as soon as she made her way over to me. “They said I can get a sneak peek at rehearsals.”

She was only supposed to pop in and out today, with a full day tomorrow. I had plans to spend my afternoon with the family, but suddenly all I wanted to do was torture myself and stay in her presence a little bit longer, even if Lourdè had yet to look at me again.

The same Johnni I’d just moved my schedule around for with the hopes of seeing her.

I took this as my sign that she was for me.

Her husband might disagree with that shit, fool. Fuck!

I at least wanted a minute alone just to see and smell her again.

“Naw, you cool. Just let me know when you’re ready. I’m going to check on the guys though. If you need me, I’m right outside this room.” That was a damn lie. Dunk and Kenny were cool; they ain’t need shit.

I wanted a minute alone with Lourdè and hoped seeing me leaving the room was enough for her ass to get the fuck up and follow me.

I needed to see my damn woman.

Two days around each other was a lot of time for us to spend together, and if she thought the place would keep me away from her, she thought the fuck wrong.

“Okay, thank you.” I waited until Oakley walked away, looking into the crowd of ladies, doing the same thing Johnni had done to me, staring hard as hell as I began to walk out of the room.

I smirked as Lourdè tried hard as hell not to look, but I caught that quick shift in her eyes.

Once I was out of the room, I walked away from the ballroom and the pageant around the corner. I knew she wouldn’t talk to me out in the open.

I waited for a few minutes, almost saying fuck it until I heard the click clack of her heels, letting me know she was coming. Each step got louder the closer she got.

Yes, I assumed it was Lourdè, but the steady thump in my balls told me it was her.

Call me crazy, but I swore I could feel her presence in those clicks and clacks.

Her scent hit the air before she bent the corner. But as soon as Lourdè did, I snatched her ass the fuck up, pulling her into an empty conference room.

“Courtland!” Lourdè yelped as I pushed myself into her, attempting to kill the space between us.

“More secrets, Lou. What’s next, you work for the mob?” I joked while pushing her more into the room until she was on the conference table.

Lourdè’s eyes rolled the second her back connected with the table.

Her gasp was sharp as I moved her panties to the side, coming in contact with the swollen clit I missed flicking on my tongue. My fingers went lower, diving into her soaking wet walls, with Johnni’s breathing picking up.

As tempted as I was to continue my pursuit, I moved my drenched fingers back to her clit, causing Johnni to moan. I smirked as I kissed the spot near her ear, speaking again.

“No, Chief, this is work,” she pleaded while I assaulted her pussy, catching the low, humming sound coming from her. It was sexy as fuck and had me sucking her neck, speaking heavy into her ear again.

“Work, huh? Why didn’t you tell me about you doing pageants then?”

“I didn’t want you to come.” I chuckled, knowing she was serious, adding another finger.

“Y-yes. Please don’t stop.”

“I shouldn’t give you a damn thing. You lied but I’ma let you have this one. Cum for me.”

Lourdè’s moans increased as she tossed her arms around my neck, holding on as I helped her relax. I didn’t know what it was like working under pressure in a competitive league, but I understood that a clear mind was necessary to do anything with a hundred percent confidence.

“Okay…okay.” I went back to kissing her neck until I moved to lean directly over her, watching as her beautiful face held tight eyes and a slightly opened mouth that I devoured. My tongue slipped in first, going for hers, tangling it with mine.

The new minty sweet taste of Lourdè was moving up on the list of best things I had ever had the pleasure of having on my tastebuds. Her sweet pussy was number one.

Her moans filled my mouth as she came in my hand, which had me growing against her thigh.

I broke our connection, putting my gaze on her pretty browns staring up at me. I removed my hand from her panties, then helped her up, fixing her dress and smoothing her hair down in the back.

Of course, Lourdè was quiet, but I attributed that to her now low eyes and the goofy grin on her face.

She was in nut heaven, not thinking about shit, but I was.

“Lou, no more fucking secrets. I’m not him. If you had told me and explained your superstitions, I wouldn’t have taken the shift. I want you in an authentic way, Lourdè. We not gon’ move like you and that nigga. And if you lie to me again, I’ma fuck you till that pussy cries out my damn name.”

“I promise, no more secrets,” she said, kissing my lips. When I felt her hands getting ready to hook my neck, I broke our connection.

“Go back to the ballroom before I have you spread out on this table, baby. You’re on official queen business.” My tone was heavy with frustration while I gripped my dick, which had Lourdè snickering but I was serious.

“See you later, Chief. Be a good boy until then.”

I stepped aside, watching her walk away. I stayed behind, letting my dick go down before I headed back to Oakley who I hoped was ready to go. I needed to clear my mind and the only thing that would help was spending time with my pirates.

My mind was fucked up for the rest of the day at the hotel after feeling…no, tasting Lourdè’s kisses. Yeah, her pussy was snug, a natural gripper and always soaking wet whenever I was blessed to experience it. Also nice and fucking warm, toasty.

None of that compared to when our tongues interlocked that had me forgetting how to form a logical thought outside of I had to have all of her. I touched my mouth, as if I were truly savoring her on my tongue even though I had long brushed her off so I could come see my pirates.

I made my way down the foyer, hitting the den where I found the noise sources.

“Ahoy, my hearties!” I said, gaining the attention of Talia first with the older kids turning to greet me too. I bent down low enough to scoop up Talia.

“Uncle Tunk!” The sound of their little voices immediately filled the room.

After I hugged the girls and dapped up JoJo, I made my way over to Lando who sat on the couch with his head back and his eyes closed.

I kicked his feet, which had him grumbling some slick shit before he got louder.

“How the fuck you on babysitting duty and sleep on the job?” I joked.

“Man, don’t come in here with that extra stuff. The kids already announced your loud ass. Ain’t no need to disrupt my peace. And first of all, nigga, I can’t babysit my own kids. I was just resting my eyes. I can hear them just fine. Why you here? I thought you had work.”

“I did. I was working with Oakley. It was a short day. I figured I would still stop by even though I couldn’t take the kids today.” Lando now readjusted, wiping his eyes and stretching in the process.

“Shit, you still can. I want an ice cream date with my woman.” I chuckled at this man spelling out the two words as if two of his kids couldn’t spell, but I nodded.

“I got you. Where is Liv?”

“In the kitchen cooking dinner. Go say hi so you can stay and keep these cockblockers for me.” I chuckled. He stayed talking shit about his own kids like he didn’t make ’em, but I nodded, getting up to greet Liv.

I walked in to see her chopping the meat on the griddle. I assumed by the smell and the peppers and onions that she was making cheesesteaks.

“You got it smelling good in here, sis. I hope you got one of them on there for me.”

“Something told me you would be over. I’m making cheesesteaks. I got both you and Pops included. He said he’s going to stop by and watch the kids so Highland and I can go out tonight.” I kissed my teeth, making Liv turn to face me.

“What’s wrong?”

“Nothing, that husband of yours just asked me knowing y’all already had a babysitter. Even put dinner on the table if I kept them.” Liv laughed.

“Y’all wrong for selling my babies so cheap, but you already know, it’s gon’ take two of y’all to handle our bunch. The kids would love to have you here. It hurt their feelings when you called and cancelled y’all’s date today.”

“Mine too. But hopefully it’s a temporary setup.”

I took a seat at the table while she went back to cooking.

We sat there silent for a minute before she spoke again.

“That reminds me, tell me what’s going on?

I heard from Ricky that you are stepping up in the business and pulling back on security jobs.

Does this mean I won’t have you at the house anymore with the other staff?

” I almost forgot about telling Liv that I would be taking a step back so I could focus on running Boss’d Up for a while.

I had been at her location since I first stepped back all those years ago.

Shit, Liv had been family prior to her and Lando getting together.

“Damn, my bad, Liv. I’ve been meaning to talk to you about it. I’m hoping it’s a temporary move with Boss being in rehab, but yeah. I promise to put someone good in my place. Bronze is a vet and will make a good fit.”

“No need to apologize. I completely understand. How do you feel about being the big man in the office now though? Can you handle it? I mean, I’m sure you can, but we both know you have your own demons.”

I chuckled humorlessly as I rotated my neck, cracking it in the process. People just didn’t know that I had been handling shit for the last couple of months. This was nothing new.

“It’s just more paperwork, manageable. I’m even hiring a couple more people to help carry the load.

And sis, you don’t need to be worried about my demons.

I tucked them deep in the closet. You just take care of my other nephew in there,” I joked as she kissed her teeth but rubbed her belly at the same time.

“Tucked away but I still can’t give you a hug. Yeah okay,” Liv said just as Lando came walking into the kitchen.

“And you better not, that fool cool. But I could use one.” I laughed because he was stupid, but also right. I was fine and still not ready to let my monsters out to play.

I got up just as Liv wrapped her arms around Lando. It was weird how my mind went to Johnni and how she felt in mine. Each time was brief, but long enough to know that I wanted her back in them.

As I made my way to the living room where the noise grew louder, I pulled out my phone to text Lourdè.

Me: I’ll be back later tonight. Text me your room number.

Lou: 1201. Don’t knock, just text me. My mother-in-law is my coach and next door. We’re going to have to be quiet.

I chuckled as it all began to make sense with her mother-in-law calling her.
