‘I love you’ means that you don’t want to change a single thing about me but you’ll be happy when I grow as a person, because that means we get to grow together.
It means that you don’t expect perfection from me, you simply think I’m perfect the way I am, and in turn, I won’t expect perfection from you.
It means that you’ll love me through the worst of times and stand by my side through the darkest of times and I will hold your hand through it all.
It means loving me when I don’t love myself.
It means loving me when I’m at my lowest and not just when I’m at my happiest, because there is never one without the other.
‘I love you’ means telling you my deepest darkest secrets and you not judging me for them, and in turn, me listening to your secrets, if you’ll let me, and not judging you for yours.
It means caring so much we’ll never let go and that I’ll fight for what we have everyday.
It means that I’m thinking about you always, dreaming of you every night, only needing and wanting you and knowing that you feel the same way .
It means so much more that I’m not able to put into words, but it means I’ll try everyday to show you, even if I can’t say it.
I hope this is what it means to say ‘I love you’ to someone.
