Chapter Fourteen — Logan

CHAPTER FOURTEEN

_____________

LOGAN

My Omega was here.

It felt like a miracle and something meant to be all at once.

She was so bright in the space compared to how we had it decorated that I already knew we would be changing things up. We’d gone for sleek and dark when we moved in. Now it felt too dark. I wanted this place to feel as much like Trinity as it felt like us.

Hell, if she told me she hated this apartment, I’d start looking for a new place tomorrow.

Because she was ours, even if she didn’t know it yet.

It had never occurred to us that she thought we wouldn’t want her, because she was already everything to us.

Brooks pulled her down the hallway toward our rooms, Bastian following. I pulled Theo back. “Remember what she said in aftercare?”

“About?”

I kept my voice low as we followed them. “About always wanting it.”

He glanced at me in question.

“We stopped looking for an Omega because we never thought we’d find one who matched all our interests and needs. But she’s ours. So do we make her ours in that way too?”

As in, a power dynamic.

No one really knew what drew packs together. It was part instinct, part DNA, part soul. Some packs never knew why they were drawn together. With others, like ours, you could easily see the connection. It wasn’t the only reason—no single thing was—but we were all kinky as fuck.

So finding an Omega who was ours? Who also wanted everything kinky? A dream come true.

Theo still stared at me like he was processing all the same thoughts. “Fuck,” he breathed. “Do you think she’ll want that?”

“All we can do is ask, and that question is better sooner rather than later. My gut says the answer is yes. And if she does say yes, we have to tell her.”

I didn’t need to specify what.

Theo nodded. “You’re right.”

“You have the list?”

“Yeah. I’ll print a copy. And I’ll ask the others.”

Brooks and Bastian were finished with the whirlwind tour of our rooms and were about to take her into the section of the apartment that wasn’t occupied. We had a few rooms that weren’t being used, simply because we hadn’t figured out what to do with them.

There was also a nest. A lovely little jewel box of a room, ready to be customized to whatever the Omega needed.

“You can have whichever one you like,” Brooks said. “But this is the room closest to the nest and it has a bathroom that connects the two.”

Walking through her violet scent was perfection. It wouldn’t be good enough until this entire place was soaked with it.

She took in the space with wide eyes. It was a large bedroom with big windows along one side, lined with a long bench seat, along with a walk-in closet. The connecting bathroom was a good size. It suited her.

“I think this room is the size of my apartment,” she said. “Like not completely, but this is probably my kitchen and living room put together.”

“All the more reason to stay,” I said with a grin.

“Dad and Liz will know if I move in here and am also with you. There’s no way they won’t.”

“So?”

She looked over at Bastian. He shrugged.

“They’re going to know either way,” I said. “We’re not going to be able to hide it forever. But if you’re living here, it will make more sense for you to be covered in our scents while we figure things out.”

“That is… an excellent point.”

“I can make those occasionally.”

Her cheeks flushed pink, and I noted it. I wasn’t sure if it was her being flustered by us or embarrassed. We wanted the first and not the second.

“Want to see the nest?”

She swallowed and nodded. I held out a hand, and she took it. The small gesture of trust filled me with satisfaction, so I wove our fingers together. We all wanted her closer. We wanted her to stay.

“Where’s Theo?”

“He had to go grab something. He’ll be right back.”

The entrance to the nest was down the hall from the last room, nestled in between it and another one of the empties, since it didn’t need windows. There was a hidden door to the connecting bathroom as well.

Right now the nest looked utilitarian, but the space was comfy and cozy. I could already imagine the nest in shades of green. All three times I’d seen Trinity she’d been wearing some shade of green. She had the same kind of chains on her hands that she had at Element today too. I liked them.

I especially liked how they reminded me of restraints.

Trinity stayed at the door, hovering.

“You can go inside if you want.”

“That’s okay,” she said quickly. “Not right now.”

I tried to see her face, but she turned and retreated quickly. Too quickly.

“Your apartment is beautiful.”

“Thank you.”

We had a weight room and a sauna here. Not as large as the apartment building’s gym that we all used. There were a couple of offices we used when we needed, but Trinity walking through everything made me realize how little we’d done with it beyond the initial decorating. It felt… empty.

Hopefully not for long.

Theo appeared down the hall and nodded to me.

“Would you like something to drink? We also promised Cecil we’d make sure you eat.”

“I’ll eat,” she said. “Promise. I’m still a bit unsettled. I’ll take some water, though.”

Bastian went to the kitchen without a word to get her a glass of water, and firmly planted her next to him on the couch once more. I watched the way she snuggled closer and also pretended that she didn’t.

This time, across the room wasn’t close enough. I sat on her other side, and Brooks sat on the floor near her feet. Theo stood, unwilling to be farther away.

I took her hand. “We have something to ask you.”

She smirked. “Uh-oh. Is this the roommate interview?”

“Not exactly,” Theo said. A quick glance at him told me he’d asked the others while she was distracted.

Trinity resettled herself, and I saw the walls go up. “Okay.”

“It’s not a test or anything,” I said. “Just something we want to ask.”

“Okaaaaaay,” she said again, drawing the word out.

“And it’s important to remember that you can always say no.”

Her mouth opened and closed. “Please just ask me. This is making me nervous.”

One more look at the others, and I took a deep breath. “Remember when you said at Element that you’d always wanted all of it, but you didn’t imagine the way it would feel?”

I watched the realization dawn on her face. “Holy shit. I said that out loud?”

We laughed, and so did she. Brooks nodded. “Yes. You did.”

“I remember now.”

“Was it the truth?”

Her face deepened into a shade of red. “Yes. I’ve never told anyone that before. Was that the question?”

“One of them. The other is that if you had the chance to experience that, would you say yes?”

Trinity looked between the four of us in shock. Like she was looking for any of us to be joking, though none of us were. “Why?”

“Because that’s what we’re offering,” I told her. “All of it.”
