Chapter Nineteen — Trinity

CHAPTER NINETEEN

_____________

TRINITY

My mouth dropped open. “What?”

I glanced between the four of them, looking for the humor and the joke. There was none.

“We’re your scent matches,” Logan said again.

“While we were at Element, I was walking around looking for a scene to watch, and I got hit with this scent out of nowhere. It felt like getting hit by a meteor. In a good way.” He heaved a breath.

“I looked around and saw you with Amber. The only reason I was able to turn away from you was that I needed to tell the rest of them.”

The others nodded. Bastian’s gaze burned, like he was ready to consume me, and I was ready to let him. “Exactly that. You’re mine.”

All of them wanting to participate in the punishment and hoping there would be a next time took on a whole new meaning.

Brooks smiled gently. “We know there’s no proof until your heat, but there was no way we could wait to tell you, and it’s why we were never going to give up until we found you.

And I never had a doubt that you would match us in every single way.

” He dropped his eyes to the stack of papers still on the coffee table.

It was Theo who came around and pulled me up from the floor where I’d been eating.

“Now you know that when we say we want you, we want all of you. Not as an experiment, not wondering if it will work out. We want because you’re beautiful, kinky, and smell incredible.

In the very limited time we’ve known you, you’ve also shown that you’re intelligent, kind, and funny.

We want you because of all those things. We want you because you’re ours.”

He dropped his lips to mine in a kiss so possessive there was no doubt. My arms ended up around his neck and my feet off the floor when he lifted me.

The reality of it caught up to me all at once, hot tears gathering beneath my lids. “You’re sure?” I asked when he released me. “You’re not making a very terrible joke? Because if you are, that’s a shitty thing to do.”

I jumped at the hand on my shoulder. Logan was at my side. “Not a joke, wildfire. We never thought an Omega was in the cards for us, because who could want everything we did? And then there was you.”

“The fact that any of us have had the self control to keep our hands off you through this process is a miracle.”

Theo tilted my face up, wiping away my tears with his thumbs. “Are you okay?”

“Am I okay?” My voice broke. “It’s all I’ve ever wanted. My two best friends. They both have scent matched packs, and I’m so happy for them, but every time I saw them with their packs it hurt and I felt so guilty. I never thought it would happen.”

Brooks appeared behind me, lifting the hair off my neck and kissing me there. “I can’t wait until you have a heat and can know how true it is.”

“Me too,” I laughed. “And I normally hate heats.”

Theo kissed me again, like he couldn’t stop himself, and I didn’t want him to. “Do you have any other questions? Because I cannot keep my hands off you anymore.”

I was sure I would have more questions, but nothing that would stop them from getting me naked right now. “I’m good.”

“Go sit with Logan,” he said. “Hold her for us.”

Logan laughed. “I suppose that’s fair.”

Since he had already touched me at the club, and none of them had. Not the way they wanted to.

Logan sat back down, and I stood in front of him when Theo’s voice came again. “Stop. Put your hands on Logan’s knees.”

Oh fuck, it was starting immediately. But there was no resistance as I bent and set my palms where instructed.

“I like this view,” Logan said, staring at where my shirt gaped and flashed nearly all of my tits at him.

“Pervert.”

He winked. “Only when it comes to you.”

Fingers hooked in the waist of my pants and pulled them and my underwear all the way down. I shivered. This wasn’t darkness in a sex club. This was out in the open. No hiding.

The overwhelm hit all at once. I was still sweaty from the long day. About to do something so new with all of them. Exhaustion still hovered at the edges of everything.

“What’s your color?” Logan asked.

As I hesitated, a blush warmed my cheeks. I wanted this and them. I also knew enough about myself that all I was going to be thinking about was the fact that I hadn’t showered, and I didn’t know them well enough yet to not care.

“Trinity?”

“Yellow,” I said quietly. “I’m sorry. I’m just nervous, and I haven’t showered. I feel kind of gross, and as much as I want all of you, I know it’s all I’m going to be thinking about.”

Logan smiled, running his hands down my arms. “I can promise you that’s the last thing any of us are thinking about.”

I swallowed, my voice coming out as a whisper. “I know. But it’s all new, and I don’t want to be wondering about the way I smell.”

A hand slid up my spine, guiding me to standing. “Baby, you don’t have to justify why you feel the way you do.” Brooks kissed my shoulder. “And us being on the edge of feral or wanting to touch you will never be more important than that.”

Deeper breath entered my lungs. I’d already known they wouldn’t cross a line, but seeing it in action eased something in my chest I hadn’t known I needed.

“Would you be willing to take a shower with us?” Brooks asked. “The bathroom that connects your bedroom to the nest has a very big shower, for obvious reasons.”

“Yes,” I said immediately. “Yes.”

He turned and lifted me, letting me wrap my naked hips around his waist as he carried me through the apartment. “Thank you.” I mumbled the words into his shirt.

“You say that as if we don’t get to see our Omega wet and soapy. Trust me, Trinity, no part of this is upsetting or a hardship.”

Bastian slipped past us into my room first. I heard the sound of water from the shower as Brooks sat me on the counter. “Can I take the rest of this off?”

“Yeah.”

My shirt and bra hit the floor, followed by Brooks carefully taking off my hand chains and setting them on the counter. “You’re fucking perfect,” he whispered.

That definitely wasn’t true, but I said nothing, just watching him watch me.

Brooks met my eyes, and I wasn’t sure what he looked for, only that he found it. “Color?”

“Green.”

The word allowed the dynamic to slide seamlessly back into place. “Take my shirt off.”

I grabbed the hem of his t-shirt and lifted it, tossing it to the floor when I got it free.

Intricate and geometric tattoos curled around one side of his ribs.

There was a second mirror across from us which showed the tattoos flowing up his back into a set of wings thrown wide, the silhouette of a giant bird.

He was a little leaner than what I remembered of Bastian, but they were built similarly.

There were still small differences even though they were identical twins.

Bastian was bulkier and his nose was a touch crooked, probably from being broken one too many times.

Brooks’s eyes were a dark, rich green that spoke of hushed forests, while Bastian’s eyes were a lighter green that reminded me of springtime.

Poking his head in from the bedroom, Theo found me and froze, eyes drawing down my naked body and back. “Damn.”

I laughed, the small tension I felt earlier snapping like a rubber band.

“Okay if I grab your shower stuff? And which suitcase is it?”

“The black one,” I said. “It’s all in one bag.”

Brooks lifted my chin with a knuckle, looking at me carefully. “You were having trouble with words earlier.”

Like it was threatening to cut them off again, my throat sounded raspy when I spoke. “Yeah.”

“I’d like to know why, if it’s something we can help with.”

Dread sank through me along with flashes of memory. Silent tears and begging. Begging Dad not to leave again. Darkness and muffled sounds. “Not right now.”

I didn’t doubt that I would tell them. If it was true that they were my scent matches, these men were my pack. My pack. We’d know everything about each other. But I wasn’t ready yet. I didn’t want to think about it.

“Okay,” he said.

“Not never. Just not now.”

He smiled into the skin of my shoulder as he kissed his way up my neck. “We negotiated a group dynamic and told you that you’re our Omega. That’s a lot for one evening. It’s okay to be overwhelmed.”

“I feel like I’m both under and over reacting,” I told him. “Like I’m so happy about both things, so why do I want to take a nap?”

Theo set my bag of toiletries on the counter, going through it and finding both body wash and shampoo as he spoke. “Because you’re relieved.”

He handed the supplies to Brooks and lifted me down off the counter to pull me into the shower that I hadn’t truly looked at.

Large, octagonal, with about a million and one shower heads pointing both together and away.

Benches on half the walls with fountains pouring water down the walls, and one big, low, square bench in the center. This was the perfect sex shower.

“Relieved?” I asked.

Theo was naked now, too. His body was definitely a swimmer’s body, with tattoos down his spine and the interlocking rings of the olympiad symbol on his bicep. Wait, what?

He turned back to me, squirting my shampoo into his hand and stepping close before I could finish looking him up and down. “Turn.”

His hands spread the shampoo over my scalp and slowly began to massage, washing with more gentleness than I used on myself. I was usually running late and desperately trying to get through washing my hair. Not… luxuriating in it.

“Your job is pretty intense, right?” He asked.

“Sometimes. Not intense like I’m out there constantly reporting, though I’d probably prefer that. More like there are a lot of tasks that can’t really be delegated, and we’re still catching up from Tracy, my former boss, being gone.”
