Chapter Twenty-eight — Trinity

CHAPTER TWENTY-EIGHT

_____________

TRINITY

My eyes were heavy when they finally tried to open. The kind of sleep where you go down so deep your brain doesn’t remember what it’s like to be alive. My body ached softly. Not in a bad way. More like if I overdid it at the gym. Which was… most of the time, if I was being honest.

I needed to start using their gym here. I’d been slacking off. Did sex like that count as a full workout? If it didn’t, it should.

“Mm, there’s a naked Omega in my bed.” Brooks pulled me backward beneath the blankets. “I like it.”

My eyelids were still heavy, but I rolled over into him, tucking my head beneath his chin. His scent was lighter and sweeter than Bastian’s, but I saw the similarities. Smoky sweetness that made his vanilla darker and richer.

He sighed in contentment and held me closer.

“I need to take some vacation time to get used to all of you.”

“Not a terrible idea.”

I sighed and rolled onto my back, forcing my eyes open to the ceiling. “Unfortunately, I can’t do that right now. There’s too much on my desk between overdue articles, the one about Element, and the whole flash drive thing. That’s why I was at Element, by the way. I’m writing a feature on it.”

“I can’t wait to read it. You never mentioned what’s on the flash drive.”

“That’s because I don’t know yet. I still need Aiden to hack it. Guess I’ll be asking him about that tonight.” I swallowed. “No idea how it can feel strange and right at the same time, but it does.”

“I get that feeling exactly.”

I sighed, melting into the bed. “I know we’re not in a scene, but I might need you to tell me to get out of bed.”

“Seems counterproductive to what I want,” he said.

“I mean, yeah, but I do have to go to work.”

Brooks rolled out of bed and came to my side before he pulled my blankets away. Given my position last night, I hadn’t really had the chance to admire him.

My Alpha was fit as hell. The kind of body you had to work for, but not the kind you got from making working out your entire personality. He was half hard because it was first thing in the morning, and holy shit, if I’d seen how thick he was before he started fucking me, I might have been nervous.

I mean, I’d seen him before when we were all in the shower, but I was a little occupied.

The intricate shapes and letters that curled around his left side were much clearer now. Compared to Bastian’s tattoos, his felt more structured and intentional. “I like your tattoos.”

He grabbed an ankle and pulled me to the edge of the bed, playfully.

“I like them too. Maybe we’ll get you some too one day.

” Once I was on my feet, still naked, he curled a hand behind my neck.

I felt his presence change. The air between us charged with our exchange of power.

“Since you asked me to order you around, go do what you need to do. Get ready for the day. Then straight to breakfast.”

“Almost straight to breakfast,” Theo said. He was standing in the doorway, staring at my naked body without hiding it. “Trinity has two training tasks she needs to complete.”

My mouth dropped open. “You got it already?”

“Check your room and find out.”

I went, hearing Brooks questioning Theo about what I was meant to do behind me.

There was a new freestanding mirror in my bedroom, and suctioned to the surface was one of the biggest dildos I’d ever seen.

Complete with a fake set of balls at the end.

A swirling blend of candy-like colors took it out of the realm of reality.

But still. That was huge. I might have to turn into the kind of snake that unhinged its jaw to fit all of it in my mouth.

“Like it?”

“It’s huge.”

“Well, thank you. That is the point.”

“I don’t know if I can fit that.”

In the mirror, I saw him approach. “You’ll try with this one. If you can’t, I’ll find something else. But I want you to try it for a while.”

“What do you want me to do?”

Hands lightly on my shoulders. “First position.”

I sank to my knees in front of the mirror, adjusting my hands and knees, eyes on the floor. But I glanced at the mirror just once, and nearly gasped.

The image was so erotic, I knew it would stick with me forever.

Me on my knees with head bowed, the picture of submission, with Theo standing behind me in those perfect slacks and button-down, sleeves rolled to the elbows and hands in his pockets, the picture of casual dominance.

Once my eyes returned to the floor, he stroked my hair slowly. “You’re so pretty when you kneel for me.”

I leaned into his touch, unable to resist both comfort and praise.

“You don’t have to use the mirror if you don’t want to, but it makes it so you can do both tasks at the same time. Ten minutes a day for the first two weeks. Kneeling, getting used to kneeling, and training your throat for us.”

Heat gathered between my legs, and I locked my muscles so I didn’t look at the mirror to see if it was visible. Why was the casual expectation of obedience the thing that made me melt?

Because I liked the rules. If I knew the rules I couldn’t mess up. Just as Theo had pointed out.

“What should this training look like?” I asked.

He knelt behind me. “I’ll show you.”

The feeling of his fingers sliding along my scalp to grip my hair was amazing. “You could just do that and I’d be purring if I could.”

“I’ll have to remember that. Use it when I need you to melt for me.”

I met his eyes in the mirror. “Really?”

Theo flexed his hand, tightening and releasing, as sadness passed over his face. “I fucking hate that you feel the need to ask that.”

My shoulders curved on instinct, and suddenly the rest of him was wrapped around me.

“No. Absolutely not.” His voice was nothing but command.

“The reason I hate that you have to ask is because it tells me you haven’t had enough people in your life who cared to learn you.

Not that you asked the question.” He lifted my head and collided our gazes through the mirror. “Do you believe me?”

The sting of rejection had been so fast and sharp, I hadn’t even had a chance to think about it. Theo took away the sting before I could second-guess anything. Because he saw me. He heard me even when I didn’t speak.

I nodded. “Yes.”

“Good. Open.”

With our eyes still locked, he slowly pushed me onto the dildo. Until it was almost too far, and my eyes started to water. “For the ten minutes, I want you to take it as far as you can comfortably hold it.

“Then I want you to push further. Not too much. Don’t hurt yourself. Stay there until you can’t hold it anymore, and then rest. Repeat that until the ten minutes are up. Can you do that for me?”

I absolutely could and would. All I wanted was to be perfect for them. He pulled me back until I could speak. “Yes, Sir.”

“You’re so good for me,” he whispered, kissing my cheek. “Stunning.”

My whole body shuddered with the praise.

Theo shifted behind me, and his phone hit the carpet with a soft thump. “Want me to help you this first time?”

“Yes, Sir.”

Without another word, he opened the stopwatch on his phone and hit start. I opened my mouth and let him guide me. My eyes weren’t even open.

His second hand curled around my throat. So he could feel if we went that deep, I realized. We reached as far as I could go and then went past it. Just enough. I held it until I thought I couldn’t anymore, and Theo kept me there a few more seconds before I breathed.

“That was great.” He kissed my neck and locked eyes with me in the mirror once more. “Again.”

This time I didn’t look away. I kept my eyes on his, and the rest of the world slipped away. Theo fucked me onto the dildo over and over, softly praising me every time he released. It barely felt like seconds when he pulled me off the final time and into his embrace. “That’s ten minutes.”

I turned and snuggled further into him.

He kissed my hair. “You need to get ready for work?”

“I suppose.”

Laughing, he helped me stand but kept me close. “I’ll be checking on your training, so don’t skip it.”

One of the reasons I didn’t want to get ready for work was because I was now heavy, hot, and achy. Needy. “Will you help me again?”

“Not every time, no. Both you and I need to know that if I give you an order, you’ll follow it. No matter if I can see you or not. But,” he smirked, “I don’t know if I’ll be able to resist sometimes.”

“Good.” Lifting my chin for a kiss, he gave it to me.

“Get ready, and then, like Brooks said, straight to breakfast.”

I stuck my tongue out at him in the mirror. All I got in return was a raised eyebrow. A flush of heat rushed to my face before he broke into a smile.

“What?”

“I was just thinking about whether there were any ways to do tongue bondage in case you decide to stick out your tongue when we’re actually playing.”

“You wouldn’t.”

“I absolutely would.” He leaned in and kissed me again. Hard. “See you in the kitchen.”

It didn’t take me long. Though I needed to get the rest of my clothes soon.

I tried to refocus my mind on what I had to do at work and all the tasks on my list as I dressed, checked my sugar, and took my insulin, but it kept slipping away back to the Alphas in the kitchen.

And my date with Aiden tonight. And the fact that I was still so tired.

Maybe I really should take some time off to fuck and sleep.

Logan stood at the stove with something sizzling in a pan. Brooks was at the blender scooping in powder. I took a seat next to Theo at the island, my stomach growling.

Brooks laughed. “Hungry, baby?”

“And whose fault is that?”

“Absolutely mine.”

Logan turned and put a plate in front of me before sliding the eggs he’d been cooking onto it. They smelled amazing. I usually didn’t eat breakfast, but I loved breakfast food. I wasn’t going to complain about a hot Alpha cooking me a meal.

“Thank you.”

“I still need a list of foods you like.”

“Right.” The eggs were too hot. I breathed around them, but they were incredible. “It’s kind of unfair that you can also cook.”

“Logan’s the best of us,” Theo said, “but we can all cook. Basic life skills and all that.”

That was good because I was a terrible cook. An okay baker, and I could follow a recipe to make food, but I couldn’t just throw something together and have it come out right. My kitchen was a graveyard at the crossroads of good intentions and poor results.

“Hey, we want to ask you something,” Logan said as he turned off the stove.

The fact that he was distracting me from some of the best eggs I’d ever eaten had him on thin ice, but I looked at him to show him I was listening.

“I thought about it last night. You know the colors?”

I took another bite and let my eyes roll back. This was so good. “Whatever they are, these eggs are fucking green.”

He laughed, and Theo stood, stretching before leaning his elbows on the island. “I guess the real question is how far you’d like to explore letting go.”

That had my attention. “How so?”

“We want to add two more colors.”

“You can do that?”

Brooks turned from where he was filling the blender. “We can do whatever we like as long as it works for us. Having universal signals is helpful in places like Element, but it doesn’t matter as long as everyone agrees and understands.”

That was true. “What do you want to add?”

Logan crossed his arms and leaned back against the counter. “Well, we might want to add more later, but for now, we’d like to add blue and purple.”

I frowned. “What would those mean?”

“Blue would be the same as yellow. Purple the same as red.”

If they were the same, then... “I’m not following.”

Bastian appeared behind me and lifted my hands away from my food and spun me on the stool. He locked my wrists together in one hand and bracketed my legs. Gentle restraints.

Theo’s voice. “They would be for free use, deeper submission, and consensual non-consent.”

My heart rate kicked up a notch, and perfume swirled outward along with my own embarrassment. Yup. Wanted that.

Bastian squeezed my wrist, drawing my attention to him. “Blue and purple are safe words that we would be allowed to ignore.”

My mouth popped open so fast he laughed, kissing me before pulling back.

Frowning, I shook my head. “I don’t understand. Why would we want that?”

Logan stepped into my line of sight again. “Last night, when you were tired but were okay with playing. Did you want to make that decision?”

I stopped to think about it. It could have gone either way. Last night was amazing. Going straight to bed or cuddling with them would have been great too. So I shrugged. “I was fine either way.”

“These new colors can help you tell us what you’re feeling without fully breaking a scene.

If you’re feeling nervous, or you think you might want to stop, but don’t want to decide, this gives you that option.

And on our end, we can evaluate the situation and decide whether to continue.

They don’t override the other colors. Red and yellow still work exactly the same way.

We just thought this might help, if it’s something you’re interested in. ”

How many times had I said to myself that I wanted someone to lift the decisions off me? This allowed that and still gave me the control to stop it. It… made sense. “Yeah, I’d like to try that.”

“Aiden’s lucky his date is tonight,” Bastian muttered. He released my hands when I tugged, so I could go back to my eggs.

“Have you talked to him?”

Theo shook his head. “Not since last night.”

“So you have no idea where he’s taking me?”

“Not a clue.”

I made a face, and they all laughed. My phone buzzed with a text, which showed me the time. “Shit, I have to go. See you guys later!”

A chorus of goodbyes followed me, and my smile lasted all the way to the office. For the first time ever, I had someone waiting for me.
