Chapter 28

CHAPTER TWENTY-EIGHT

SPIDER

I stand firm with my gun aimed at Dean’s head. His eyes are wide as he looks left to right, watching as Rage is let loose on his men. Ghost walks in going straight to Star, as does Cash with Maggie.

“Let her go, Dean,” I growl.

I catch Acid’s gaze as he quietly climbs through the window behind them. He lifts his metal baseball bat high and slams it down on Dean’s head. Dean collapses to the floor like a sack of shit. I sigh relieved, watching as Acid pulls Nova in for a hug. Seeing her neck bleeding, he slams his booted foot into Dean.

“Fucking cunt!” Acid spits.

I step over some dead guy Rage is ripping apart limb from limb, not giving a shit. My eyes are fixed on her. I grab her face in my hands and crash my mouth to hers, kissing her fiercely with all the love and fear I’ve felt since her call. Breaking the kiss, I rest my head against hers, squeezing my eyes shut.

“You have no fucking idea how scared I’ve been,” I whisper across her lips. “It was a fight to make you mine, and the thought of something happening to you, losing you... Fuck,” I breathe.

She places her lips softly on mine. “The fight isn’t over,” she whispers, smiling. “It’s just changed. We are fighting everything else now, instead of ourselves,” she says, letting out a soft laugh. A lone tear trickles down her cheek, and I quickly swipe it away with my thumb.

“He was going to try and fuck me, so I punched him in the nuts with my knuckle dusters,” we hear Star explain. We turn to see Ghost bend down and drag the half alive guy to Beast.

“Keep him alive with Dean,” Ghost orders.

Beast nods as he helps Hawk and Rage carry them out.

“Where are they taking them?” Nova asks.

I look at her. “Club business, sweetheart.” She rolls her eyes. I grab her behind and that’s when I feel something strange. “What’s that?” I ask. She subtly reaches under my T-shirt she’s wearing and pulls out the tracker I gave her earlier that day. “Well, fuck me.” I smile.

“I’m guessing that’s how you found us,” she states.

“Yeah, amongst Lizzie from the diner messaging me saying that she saw a guy carrying you up the steps to an apartment at the back of her diner,” I tell her.

“Wait, what?” she asks, looking out the window, seeing the back of the diner.

“Yeah, she was emptying the trash and saw them,” I state.

“So, I had a tracker in my underwear all this time for nothing?” she huffs.

“Not for nothing. If Lizzie hadn’t seen you, then I would have used the tracker,” I tell her.

She sighs. “Can we go home now?” she asks.

I tuck a strand of her blonde hair behind her ear. “After I’ve seen to some club business.”

Something clicks. “Queenie?!” she gasps.

I smile. “She’s fine. She’s back at the club house with the prospects.”

She frowns. “Hold up. The prospects where there and they still managed to take Star and Maggie?” she asks confused.

Star steps forward. “Erm, we weren’t at the club house. We decided to come and get you to bring you back to the club house. We told the two watching your place that they could go home and as we were about to get out of the truck, we saw them carrying you out unconscious. So, of course, we ran over and tried to attack them.” She shrugs.

“Then what happened?” Nova asks.

“They pulled guns on us and forced us into the truck with you,” Maggie adds.

Nova moves, wrapping her arms around Star and Maggie. “Thank you,” she says softly. Star and Maggie embrace her, hugging her back.

“You okay, Rage?” Hawk asks, grinning.

Rage turns to face him, smiling wide. “Fuck yeah,” he beams as he yanks on the starter rope for the chainsaw.

“Look how happy he is,” Hawk says, pretending to wipe his fake tears away. “It’s just a beautiful moment, you know.” He sniffs.

“Please no! Nooooo!” Dean screams as Rage cuts through his wrist. The sound of a chainsaw cutting through bone isn’t that different to it cutting through wood. Dean’s hand falls to the floor and after Rage turns the chainsaw off, he bends down and picks up Dean’s hand.

“High five.” He laughs, holding up Dean’s hand.

Hawk bends over, laughing. He walks over and slaps a high five on Dean’s hand that Rage is holding. “I swear to god, since he’s been with Dixie, I can’t tell if he’s more terrifying when he smiles and laughs with this shit, or if he was more terrifying before when he never smiled or laughed,” Beast mutters.

Cash shakes his head. “He’s always been a terrifying fucker. It’s just now he knows how to show his love for the real fucked up shit.”

I look over to Ghost who is busy carving through the dick of the guy that was going to rape Star. “Rage ain’t the only terrifying fucker,” I comment.

The brothers look over at Ghost, watching as he opens the guy’s mouth and shove his own cut off dick in his mouth.

“How is that fucker still alive?” Acid asks.

“Because thanks to Dixie, she taught Rage what to do when someone is bleeding out, and how to stem the blood loss. So now any of us can chop, cut and carve, because Rage will stem the blood loss to keep them alive long enough to suffer,” I say, smiling.

“Is that how Dean is still alive after you cut his dick and balls off and shoved them up his ass?” Scar asks, laughing.

“Oh yeah, and now I can sit back, relax, and watch Rage have fun doing his thing.” I smile, taking a swig of my beer.

“Oh, he’s going for the left foot next,” Acid points out.

Ghost walks over, wiping the blood off his hands. “You get your piece before you let Rage loose?” he asks.

I smile. “Oh, yeah.”

Ghost smiles back and nods. Taking a beer out of the cooler, he pauses and clinks his beer with mine.

“There is just one more thing I want to do before he dies,” I state.

“Well, you better do it now before Rage uses the chainsaw to carve through his fucking neck,” Beast points out.

“Good point,” I agree. Placing my beer down, I walk over to Rage. “Rage, enough now. I want to be the one to end it. I want to be the last fucking face he sees before he dies.”

“Oh,” Rage sighs.

“Don’t worry brother, with the way our enemies keep coming, you’ll never be short of someone to cut up,” I remind him.

The corner of his mouth tips up. “Oh yeah,” he says before walking off.

“Dean, open your eyes, you fucking piece of shit,” I snap. Dean now barely alive opens his eyes. I hold up a syringe. “See this? This will end it all for you within 30 minutes. See, I have this friend who collects snake venom, and this right here is cobra venom,” I state. “Let’s see what it does, shall we?” I suggest. “Rage, find me a vein,” I order.

Rage walks over and lifts Dean’s arm with his hand still attached. “Straight in there,” he points.

“Thanks Rage.” I nod and inject the venom directly into his vein and step back. “You poisoned her for years of her life. So, it only seemed fair that you should feel something of what she felt, at least in your last few moments,” I seethe. “Open your fucking eyes and look at me!” I yell. He slowly opens them. “I want to watch as the venom takes over your body. I want you to be looking at my face when you take your final breath,” I seethe. “This venom binds itself to the receptors in charge of moving your diaphragm. You know what that is, right? It’s the muscle that move your lungs. So your brain will stop sending the signal to your diaphragm, and you will be unable to breathe. You will die choking to death,” I state.

I stand there, watching as his body begins to fight to breathe as the venom takes effect. His body convulses, desperately trying to breathe. His eyes go wide and blood shot, his face turning red as he chokes before he finally dies.

“Rot in fucking hell, you piece of shit,” I say, spitting on his corpse.

I turn to walk away to find Rage staring in awe. “Can you get me some of that venom?” he asks.

“Sure.” I nod before walking out.

“Where are you going?!” Beast yells after me.

“To fuck my woman!” I yell over my shoulder.
