16. Chapter 16
A licia never thought much of high-rise offices. Not only had she rarely been in them before, but they were… just there. Some were messy. Some were sparse. They all smelled of capitalism, whatever that actually smelled like.
Then she found herself bent over a leather chaise lounge, the skirt she hastily put on after work ripped above her hips, while the most demanding woman she knew gave her a taste of what she really wanted from her.
“Does it feel good?” Danica murmured in Alicia’s ear, the eagerness in her voice cascading while her fingers almost brought Alicia to orgasm. “Tell me now.”
“Y… yes.” Alicia had no breath. Her lips rubbed against the leather in front of her face, involuntarily, for every thrust she received pushed her head forward. “Please, don’t stop.”
It was another case of no clothes off and a quickie that would make her come physically but leave her wanting more emotionally.
Danica had made that clear when she finally let Alicia in fifteen minutes ago.
Before that, Alicia spent an hour in the waiting room, wondering why she had bothered to rush to change in the Blue Bird bathroom instead of taking her time in the much nicer restroom here.
She had seen it twice in an hour. Gold fixtures and crystal-lined sinks.
Were the countertops marble? Who cared when they were the least interesting things in the room?
And why the hell was she thinking about the damned bathroom now while the woman who could easily be her girlfriend fucked her?
Alicia had officially reached the point where she couldn’t believe how easy it was to jump into sex, let alone get off within ten minutes.
Danica may have been determined to come as quickly as possible, since she was the busiest woman around, but she wouldn’t let Alicia leave her office until she had her fun, too.
No wonder every firm thrust hit her right where it mattered most, and even though Danica could not kiss her, Alicia still experienced waves of affection that hypnotized her.
“Fuck me harder,” she whimpered, fingers digging into the leather beneath her face. “Please! I’m almost there!”
Danica did better than that – she slapped Alicia’s ass, sending her right over the edge.
“Shit!” Alicia braced herself for orgasm, but how could a woman brace herself for the torrent of pleasure wracking her body without any warning?
“I swear,” Danica muttered, easing her fingers out of Alicia, thumbs keeping her thighs spread apart. “You keep seducing me like this, I’ll have to keep you under lock and key so I can finish my work every day.”
Alicia tried to sit up, but her fatigue was too strong. It didn’t help that the woman was holding her down, enraptured with her body. Alicia smiled against the back of her curling hand.
“Seducing you, huh? You’re the one who asked me to come here.”
“Yes, and I had my wits about me until you walked in here.” Danica finally released her and straightened her clothing.
“If I didn’t know any better, I’d say your goal is to fuck me as much as possible.
” Alicia rolled onto her back, chest heaving as she struggled to catch her breath and enjoy the chemicals in her brain at the same time.
Danica leaned down, mouth meeting hers. “You’re up to no good, Ms. Colbert. ”
She giggled against her lips. “Maybe…” Danica’s jacket was wrapped in Alicia’s hand. “I’ve been thinking about you a lot, too.”
Danica gave her another kiss. Why did she have to stand back up so quickly?
“I’m going to Chicago for a series of meetings next week,” she announced.
Her sleeves readjusted as she returned to her desk.
What was Alicia supposed to do? Remain on the chaise lounge and hope nobody noticed?
“I want you to come with me. I’ll spoil you until you feel like a queen. ”
At first, Alicia was elated at such an invitation. “I have work.”
“Quit your job. You don’t need it if you’re my girlfriend.”
Quit my job? Alicia sat up, eyes wide in wonder. “I can’t do that!” Her other words finally hit her. “Wait… your girlfriend?”
Danica leaned back in her executive office chair.
“At this point, I can’t help but start thinking of you as my girlfriend.
That comes with many perks. Travel, fine food…
” She tossed one leg over the other, chuckling.
“Me, of course. I can’t promise you my undivided attention all the time, but I can promise that you’re my whole world when we are together. ”
Alicia stood, forgetting how mussed her clothing was as she approached the desk. “You’re serious? You’re gonna be my girlfriend?”
“I hope to be more than that, Alicia.”
Alicia picked up a diamond paperweight. Until a week or so ago, she would have assumed this was very nice glass.
Now she knew better. The way the stone rolled in her hand, threatening to cut her skin if she wasn’t careful, seemed a perfect reflection of her relationship with Danica Moreau.
Yet I can’t stop falling for her . Alicia peered over the paperweight, aghast that a woman could be so good-looking.
Danica slumped in her chair, but it wasn’t for a lack of proper breeding or knowledge of good posture.
Danica was ridiculously beautiful even when she cut loose for a whole five minutes.
Enjoying the afterglow of her orgasm, I see .
Knowing that she helped with that? Made it hotter. Alicia put the paperweight down.
“Let’s take things a step at a time.” Yes, that sounded good.
Diplomatic. Level-headed. Alicia may feel like fresh Jell-O when in Danica’s presence, but that didn’t mean this Jell-O lacked a brain.
“You wanna go steady? I can go steady with you. Never called a billionaire my girlfriend before. Could be fun.”
“Going steady… yes.” The chair creaked as Danica pushed forward, elbows leaning against the desk.
“Contrary to what you may think of a woman like me, Ms. Colbert, I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised at how…
shall we say, committed… I can be. Like I’ve said before, I don’t date indiscriminately.
I would only date a woman I see being fully committed to. ”
That was definitely one way to promise she wouldn’t be a cheating bitch.
Is it sad I sort of expected her to be? Alicia refused to consider the impossible: that Danica was actually so in love with Alicia that the rest of her life was already falling into place.
Easier to think of herself as a temporary fascination.
That much she would take from Candice’s worldly views.
I don’t want to be made a fool of. Or have her heart trashed.
Now was the time to have her fun, sexually and otherwise.
Did Matt ever promise to take care of her like this?
Pfft! No. Being a doctor’s wife would’ve been a good gig, but safe to say that a billionaire beat that out.
“So, Chicago,” Alicia said cheerily. “Let me see what I can do about work. What did you have in mind?”
Danica plucked Alicia’s hand off the desk and kissed it, letting skin linger against her cheek. “I want to treat you like you’ve never been treated before… in public, and the bedroom.”
Alicia shifted between her feet, teeth chomping on her lip. “Oh.” Whatever that meant. “Sounds nice.”
“I’ll give you more details after I sort them out, but I intend to introduce you more to the world I have in mind for us.
Because if you want to really be my girlfriend, Alicia,” Danica’s sharp eyes flickered up toward her, “then you’ll be the kind of woman who still wants me, even after knowing the darkest parts of me. ”
“Oh…”
“But to start,” Danica released her hand and pulled a paper in front of her. “I’ll make sure you’re plenty pampered by the time we take off in my jet. How does a day at the spa and a shopping trip sound? You should dress your best for the parties we’re going to in Chicago.”
Alicia couldn’t stop the smile cracking her face.
“I haven’t been to the spa in forever.” The last time she went was with her mother.
Hm. Seemed silly to go by herself. “Can my friend Candice come too?” Why not ask?
Not like Danica couldn’t afford a spa day for two.
“She’s also my roommate. I mean, I understand if you say no, but it’s not much fun to go by my… ”
“She can go too. My treat.” Danica signed the paper before pulling another one on top of it. How could a woman write a signature with so many flourishes and not make a mess of it? “I’ll have Ms. Clayborn arrange everything. She’ll be in contact with you regarding the details.”
Not like she didn’t know where Alicia and Candice lived. “When will I see you again?”
Danica spared her a soft look. “Soon, I hope. Might not be until we take off. When we get back from Chicago, I will take a look at my schedule to make sure it’s more agreeable to a romantic relationship.”
Before Alicia left, Danica got up and kissed her one last time.
The kiss could have transformed into something more, but Danica had work to get back to, and Alicia was ready to head home.
Danica promised to call downstairs and have a car waiting.
That information danced in Alicia’s hand as she fixed her clothing and grabbed her purse. So did something else.
“Danica,” she began, seeing a copy of The Wall Street Journal on the coffee table, “did you know that we were in one of the tabloids last week?”
“Of course we were.” Danica didn’t look up at her. “I arranged it.”
“You… arranged it?”
“Big news, isn’t it? Someone like me is publicly seen with an unknown woman. I knew those vultures would be there. I also knew I wanted the world to see me with you. So, they did.”
Alicia didn’t pretend to understand. She said her adieus and showed herself out of the office… and into the nearest restroom.
