21. Chapter Twenty
CHAPTER TWENTY
ETHAN
“ M atthias?" Ethan called out.
He waited for one of his most trusted men to come into the room. Matthias was somebody who Ethan could confide in. He was a man of few words, but he got the job done and told people what he thought with no bullshit.
Ethan’s kind of guy.
Matthias was one of the men who had been helping him with Margery.
“Yes, boss?” Matthias walked into the room.
“Has Margery called you recently?"
“No, she hasn’t.”
Ethan kind of already knew that, but he wanted to know more. He had put the cameras and microphones in her house after Matthias had visited. It had been a while since then, but Ethan trusted Matthias and didn’t need to know every single detail immediately after it happened. But now, he wanted to know .
“How did she react when you answered the phone but also appeared on her doorstep?” Ethan inquired.
Margery was a smart girl. He figured she would pick up on something like that, but in her panicked state, she might not have.
Oh, he loved seeing her in a panic state. To watch all the emotions play across her face. He could tell exactly what she was thinking .
“She was certain it wasn’t a secret admirer. She did question why I answered the call, but I gave some phony reply. One she believed in the moment. She thought I was the police,” Matthias replied. “I wondered she would put together that police officers never answer nine-one-one calls, but she didn’t. But if she had questioned it more, I had a whole list of things I could say. Make her believe anything I said.”
“And that’s why I send you on things like this when I can’t show my face.”
Matthias had a talent for manipulating people to believe anything. Give him a couple of minutes with somebody, and they’d be agreeing to everything he said.
“I talked with her neighbors. Told them I was a cousin and that she was going to be getting the help she needed. Made it seem like she was crazy. They know not to call the police if anything happens,” Matthias informed Ethan. “They won’t say anything, I don’t think. Not unless they want a bullet in their head.”
“Good. One less thing I have to worry about when I take her.”
“I told her we had better work to do than to catch her secret admirer. The look on her face after I said that: priceless.” Matthias sat in the chair. “Have you seen her recently?”
Ethan nodded and chuckled. “I’ve been spending most nights at her house. Watching her sleep, running my hands through her hair, whispering things when she’s half asleep. I like watching her sleep. So defenseless.”
Matthias shook his head. “I don’t know how you do that.”
“Watch her sleep? Toy with her brain when she’s half asleep? It’s my favorite thing to do. To see every emotion across her face when she finally realizes and puts together the things I have done. Music to my ears.”
“If I were watching my girl sleep, it wouldn’t just be watching. I would fuck while she was asleep.”
Somnophilia .
Ethan figured Matthias was into things like that.
“Oh, I understand the desire,” Ethan retorted. “To be able to just sink your dick inside of her as she’s laying there, asleep and oblivious to the things you’re about to do to her.”
Ethan was growing hard just thinking about doing that to Margery.
“So, do it,” Matthias stated.
Ethan shook his head. “One day, but not today. She’s too paranoid right now. But it’s something I want and will get. Once I have her, she’ll be clinging on to me. Depending on me when she realizes she isn’t going anywhere. First, I need her to need me, and then I can slowly release the reins, and life can go on like it was before I died.”
“Before she thought you were dead.”
He could still remember the look on Margery’s face when she saw him for the first time. The shock, sadness, and his personal favorite, fear.
“I still don’t understand how people don’t put two and two together,” Matthias said.
“They think I’m a ghost when they see me. Just how I want it. But most of the people I grew up with moved and should still think I’m dead,” he replied.
He had stayed in the shadows for months , waiting for the perfect time to come out. It had been agony to stay away from Margery all those years, but it needed to happen. He knew she was never going to find anyone else, so he didn’t have to worry.
The first couple of years, Ethan thought he could move on and keep Margery safe, but he realized he couldn’t stay away from her. He’d wanted her to spread her wings and live her life, but now, it was time for her to be his once again.
For him to clip her wings.
Matthias looked down at his watch and grinned.
“Got somewhere to be?” Ethan asked.
“In a couple of hours. Got a girl waiting for me.”
“A girl you’re going to introduce to the family? Or just a side piece?”
Matthias shrugged. “She was a one-night stand. Into the same kinks as me. I found myself visiting her. Seeing her wear the same thing she wore to signify she was open. So, I slip into her room and fuck her, and then I leave.”
“So, you followed her and broke into her house.”
“Yeah,” Matthias smirked
Ethan smiled. “So, are you just going to continue to play with her, or are you eventually going to take her and make her yours?”
It was risky to return to the same person’s house multiple times. They never knew if they were being watched by their enemy.
Matthias shrugged his shoulders. “She wouldn’t survive in this world.”
“Fair. You could just keep her locked in your room. I’ll probably be doing that with Margery.”
“Maybe,” Matthias didn’t sound interested.
They fell into silence for a couple of minutes. Ethan couldn’t wait to have Margery in his house.
“When does the shipment of girls arrive?” Matthias asked.
“In a couple of days.”
“Rogan onto us?”
Ethan shook his head. “He gave up a while ago. Probably figured he could get to the girls before we did. But they were long gone before he arrived.”
“Fucking bastard.”
“He wants a meeting.”
“What fucking for? That slimy piece of shit.”
Ethan smiled. Everyone in the Montgomery Syndicate hated Rogan and his men. He had tried to hijack several of their shipments and other operations. He had also killed two of his men.
“Wants to meet with me. I think he has Bon,” Ethan sighed. “Going to meet with him in a week. You, Dahmere, Jason, and Clinton will be coming with me.”
“Sounds good to me. Just let me know when and where. ”
Ethan’s phone went off, and he couldn’t help but smile. It was the ringtone he had whenever Margery moved in her house. He wanted to know her every move, and this allowed it.
He pulled his phone out and watched as Margery stuffed all the stuffed zebras into a bag on the screen before placing it in the corner of the room. Ethan chuckled as she stuck her tongue out at them.
“Let me guess, Margery did something,” Matthias queried as he stood.
“Her Little side was peeking through. Sticking her tongue out at the stuffed zebras I gave her,” Ethan replied.
Ethan couldn’t wait until she was with him, and he could allow her to be Little more often. He’d kept tabs on her since he died and knew she was a Little. He had discovered he was a Daddy a year before he had faked his death. To know she was a Little was absolute perfection.
“When are you moving on to the next phase?” Matthias asked.
“Tonight. The last stuffed zebra will be delivered tonight.”
