Chapter 2 – THE DEVIL’S OFFER
Chapter Two
THE DEVIL’S OFFER
Indigo recognized the man from the night she was marked for death.
He stood in front of her, wearing the same cold, confident smile that had sent a chill down her spine weeks ago.
His command over his men was unquestionable, and he made no secret of his hatred for the Motorcycle Club.
It was evident in the way he held himself, his arms folded across his chest, revealing his tattoos and piercings with pride.
Indigo was tough, but she was alone. She had no idea she was being watched or followed, but the man did. He knew she would be easy prey, waiting for the perfect moment to strike. He'd waited long enough, watching from the shadows as she trained day and night, preparing herself for his arrival.
His men flanked him, their attention shifting between Indigo and their leader, awaiting his command. All of them were dangerous, skilled fighters, ready to take down anyone who got in their way. This was it, their moment to finally rid the world of the Curvy Girl Motorcycle Club.
But as the man stepped forward, he had other intentions. “You know why we’re here,” he began, his voice an eerie whisper in the stillness of the room. “You’ve marked our territory with your presence, and now you must pay the price.”
Indigo kept her expression unreadable, but she didn't flinch when he spoke. She had a feeling this wasn’t about retribution - it was about something else entirely. Something darker, more sinister.
“Do you really think you can take me?” she challenged softly, her eyes never leaving his.
The man paused for a moment, considering her words.
He’d underestimated her before, and he wouldn't make that mistake again. “I don’t think,” he said, his voice low and dangerous.
“I know you're a fighter, but I've got the numbers on my side. And they will do whatever it takes to make sure you pay for your transgressions.”
Indigo didn’t back down. Instead, she stepped closer, goading him. “Then go ahead,” she taunted, her voice quivering with defiance. “Prove to me that you're not just all talk.”
Her challenge caught him off guard, but he couldn't deny the grim satisfaction that coursed through him.
She was brave, maybe even foolishly so, but he couldn't deny her determination.
He knew that with her on their side, the Curvy Girl Motorcycle Club would be unstoppable.
And in his world, weakness was a death sentence.
“Very well,” he said, suppressing a smile. “We have a proposition for you.”
As he spoke, he gestured to his men, who parted ways, revealing threefold. Indigo narrowed her eyes, not trusting him for a second. But when she heard the proposition, she froze. They wanted her as their own, to claim her as their territory. It was the only way they'd leave her alone.
“Do you want me dead or married?” she asked, incredulous.
The man chuckled darkly. “Neither” he said. “I want you as mine and the Curvy Girl Motorcycle Club will be no more.”
Indigo hesitated, weighing her options. If she refused, she knew what would happen. The man and his men would not stop until every last member of her club was dead. But marrying him, becoming one of them? It went against everything she stood for, everything she believed in.
“You don’t think I can handle it,” she growled, her temper flaring.
The man shrugged. “Only one way to find out,” he said, stepping closer once more. “But remember, there's no going back from this.”
In that moment, Indigo knew she had no choice. She had to protect her club, no matter the cost. “Fine,” she spat out. “But don’t think for a second that this makes us allies.”
Her sudden surrender caught everyone off guard, especially Steel. He didn't expect her to agree so easily. But as he studied her face, he saw something he hadn't seen before - fear. And it was intoxicating.
They entered into an agreement, a fake marriage, to make her appear as one of them.
She will have a mark on her finger, as a symbol of her submission.
And in that moment, Indigo became his. Indigo's heart raced as the man spoke, feeling simultaneously terrified and determined.
This was her only chance to protect her club, and she would take it even if it meant marrying a rival biker.
She had to prove her worth as a member and show them that she was strong and capable enough to withstand their scrutiny.
Despite her bravado, she couldn't help but shiver when the man reached out to take her hand. His grip was firm and unyielding, sending a chill down her spine. The prospect of being under his control caused some internal turmoil, but she pushed those thoughts aside for now.
“I hope you know what you’re getting yourself into,” he said, pulling her close. Their bodies were only inches apart, and Indigo could feel the heat emanating from his skin. His eyes bored into hers, searching for any sign of weakness.
She steeled herself against him, refusing to show any fear. “I do,” she said, matching his intensity. “Consider me yours.”
Without another word, he revealed a small tattoo gun covered in black ink. Before she could react, he pressed it against her finger, puncturing the skin and leaving a permanent scar. It was a sign of their commitment - whether fake or not.
And just like that, she was branded as one of them.
As the man released her hand, he stepped away, a smug smile playing on his lips. “Welcome to the fold,” he said softly. “Remember, no one leaves the club alive.”
Indigo stared after him for a moment, feeling the weight of his words sink in. She had made a deal with the devil himself, but it was a deal she had to honor. She looked down at her marked finger, feeling a mix of disgust and resolve as she turned to leave.
Little did she know that this would be the start of a dangerous, passionate journey, one that would test the limits of who she was and what she was capable of. But for now, all she could do was face the challenges head-on, one day at a time.
